Jump into a dark fantasy and a supernatural world filled with magic and mystery from USA TODAY bestselling author Chrissy Peebles. This is book 3. With Danny at her side and her newfound powers increasing, Blair should be okay. Heck, she even has a sort of friendship going with Tori, her long-lost half-sister. Sure, Tori might be an assassin, but she draws the line at killing family, and she’s willing to help Blair with something no one else taking down Vlad the Impaler, legendary vampire and all-around bad guy extraordinaire. There’s just one problem though. Vlad is also their father. Blair knows time is running out, so when Tori arrives with the story of an ancient amulet that might protect her, she sets off to search for it. She’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep herself safe while she prepares for her fight with Vlad, but it soon becomes clear that every step she takes and every enemy she defeats is just bringing her closer to the inevitable showdown…
Chrissy Peebles, a practicing nurse, has always loved reading and writing fantasy from the earliest age she can remember. She plotted every single twist she could think of during bedtime stories for her children. When her little ones begged for more adventures, she felt confident enough to let her overeager imagination and sense of humor spill out into her first novel. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two young kids, one hamster, three dwarf hamsters and cat. When she's not taking the kids to Little League soccer, basketball, or baseball, she loves to snap photos as her favorite hobby.
Blair’s book 3 didn’t disappoint an ended as strong as it began. I loved Blair’s story and dang is she one bad ass half vampire, half witch. Now onto reading more books about the daughters of darkness.
I just realised I picked this up and started reading back in November of last year.... I didn't get very far in, just around 30 pages.. and while I enjoyed the first two books in this series I'm just not in the mood for this one (for a very long time already).
I guess I'll put it back on my tbr just because I feel so bad not even getting half way through... Maybe I'll give it another try at some point in the future. Who knows...
5 stars writing, awesome story I must admit I'm a huge Dracula fan... but I'm now a massive Daughter of Darkness fan & Chrissy Peebles hits the spot for me with these 4 sisters, next story is Jesebel's turn. The only dislike is that the books are not long enough for my liking I need more details of the love connection between Blair & Danny.
I initially bought the Daughters of Darkness which introduced you to the four daughters. The series for each daughter is written by different Authors and after finishing Blair's story I am hooked and can't wait to read each sisters stories.
Blair turns into one bad azz witch/vampire in this installment. And darn it if I didn't start thinking Vlad isn't that bad..... Great ending of the series.
The free stories are okay and just enough to get you started and when the reading starts to become interesting that part ends and prompts you to buy the next small part of the story. It does not tell you how many parts there are to the stories but at $3 OR $4 for EACH PART it adds up to way more than the average price of a couple novels. NOT worth the cost.
