Good book in this series. I wrote more on the whole thing in my “Bound” review. I would recommend this author/series to fans of Shayla Black, Lora Leigh, Emma Holly and so on.

Samair had it with her life. after finding her boyfriend in a compromising position with her female room mate and a strap on she decided it was time for a change. going to live with her old college room mate and long time friend Joey, Samair sets out to grab onto of all of her dreams, and fantasies while she is at it.

Joey works as a cage dancer at a night club. while visiting with joey samair runs into the club's owner Val. he's tall and hot, and exactly what Samair needed to reclaim her title as "trouble". Val and Samair come to the agreement that he will help her live out all her fantasies. Nothing more. they are both too busy. Val is dealing with trying to save his club from foreclosure and a witchy ex wife, and Samair is starting her life over while trying to build a business designing lingerie.

they mutually help each other with their businesses while having some incredibly hot sex. samair gets to experience everything from visiting a BDSM club to a menage. pretty predictable HEA comes next.

over all this was a good read. it even had a plot in the middle of all the sex. a decent one at that. the sex scenes were well written, as well as the locations for most of them. only one slight annoyance. i had to read about 6 times too many that samair was a few pounds over weight, chubby, curvy, would wear that outfit if she were 20lbs lighter ... etc. etc. she sure didnt sound it. Val had no issues slamming her against a wall or carrying her into the bed room. she borrowed some of her professional dancer roomate's clothes. ok, it just irks me when we hear a description of an over weight gal i a book and she turns out to be like a size 6. we never get a size here but thats just what i pictured. rant over. i promise. the book was overall good.

When Samair Jones loses her boutique job, her boyfriend and her home all in the same day, she hits the ground running with a dogged determination to begin living for herself, damn everyone else and what they might think. When she goes to Risqué, a club where her best friend is a dancer, and she meets the club's owner, Valentine Ward, passions immediately flair. The two begin a heated relationship that's based at first on great sex, but soon they share a mutual understanding of, and respect for, one another. Samair is determined to get her line of clothing off the ground, but at the same time her feelings for Val and concerns over his ex-wife's continued malicious presence in their lives, have her emotions tumbling.

Valentine Ward is used to having any woman he wants and he wants Samair the moment he sees her in his club. He's the owner of a hugely successful club, having built it up himself from nothing; he is extremely proud and determined to make it work. Samair is equally hard working and determined to make her intimate apparel line a success, something Val admires and appreciates. It isn't long before Valentine envisions more with Samair than just a quick fling, but his ex-wife's scheming has put his ownership of the club in a precarious situation. He needs to take care of the business of the club, his very livelihood, before he can think of a future with Samair.

Ms. White has once again given readers a highly erotic story that goes much deeper than just sex. Samair and Val are wonderfully written characters whose story would be just as contagious if it didn't contain sex; isn't that the true measure of a truly excellent romance? Secondary characters are equally intriguing, and Val's friend Karl (whom readers first met in BOUND) will have his story told in WICKED, coming from Sasha White in January `08, which promises to be just as delicious as TROUBLE!

Wow! I finished this one in 3 days, lol. I can honestly say it was an easy read. Of course pretty much all erotic novels are. I liked the story a lot. I liked that it wasn't all focused on sex, but more about passion for life. I love that the lead character persued her dreams and became famous for something creative - sewing. I liked the sexy stuff too. My only grip with the book is that it was so unbelievable. Val's character was a complete contradiction and someone like him in real life wouldn't give in to Shamair so easy like that. But i suppose since it's a romance novel, then it's allowed. It was a fun read, a good mix of story and sex, and I'd highly recommend it.

LOVED IT, as I knew I would, BUT .... could the ending be any more open-ended. It was the same with Bound. It's like those movies that you just know are gonna have a PART 2 ... dammit, I like my love stories wrapped up in nice little boxes with bows on top! LOL ... But that clearly is NOT Sasha's way! And it's ok. LOL
PS....There had better be some sort of happy ending for Karl somewhere down the line or I'm gonna get pissy!

Although I didn't love Samair as much as some other heroines I've read, she was still very likeable and intelligent, and not bitchy. Val was hot & intense, and the story overall was great. This was a pretty solid 5/5 for me.

Sasha writes books that are steamy and hot, but also makes you care about the characters. I love all her books, but Trouble is one of my favorites.

Samair Jones finds herself at a crossroads in her life. Fed up with her job, her boyfriend and herself for trying to be someone she is not, she throws caution to the wind and starts over. She moves in with her old college friend Joey, who is a dancer for club Risque. As Samair is dancing in the club, she catches the club owner's eye. After some heavy flirting she tells him that she is looking for someone to fulfill all her sexual fantasies. Valentine Ward, never one to back away from a challenge, picks up the gauntlet.

Samair all her life has tried to be someone she isn't. Her family is very conservative and her parents have certain expectations when it comes their children. Samair has dreamed of having her own line of clothing ever since she was young. Her family would never understand or support her in this endeavor. However, Samair is sick and tired of being someone who she isn't. She is tired of trying to please everyone else and is now going to live for herself. I love that this book isn't just about fantastic sex (although, that is an added benefit), but more about Samair accepting who she is and loving herself for it. It's a motivating message without being overly preachy.

The characters were well drawn and likable. Joey, Samair's roommate has a secondary romance with a bouncer from the bar. It was enjoyable to read about Samair starting up her own lingerie business and the steps she took. I also liked how the author slowly showed Val go from their relationship initially being about sex to developing into something more meaningful for him. I was pleasantly surprised by Trouble. It was a fast, entertaining read.

*Just a side note* I totally hate the cover of this book. Yuck, yuck, and more yuck. There is no way in HELL, you could get me to walk around with this book in public.

#2 in a trilogy

1 - Bound
3 - Wicked

Enjoyable steamy romance. Samair Jones quits her job, discovers her boyfriend cheating on her, and is fed up with her life.

Samair indulges in her new resolve to live life on her terms when she meets sexy club owner Valentine Ward.

Samair works hard to build a clothing design business out of a friend's apartment, while pursuing her fantasies with Val. I like that the characters have real relationships, not just purely sexual in nature.

Very enjoyable read - I also liked #1 Bound alot :-). Wicked focused more on Karl (a Dom) and the club scene, and for me, it lacked the emotional connection between the H/H that makes a steamy read sexy. But I did read them out of order.

While it's a sexy book, the sex is just a nice part of the story. To me, this is not "erotic", nor is it "first rate blistering passion" (back cover). Not a criticism, just my thought.

Sasha White is one of my favorite erotica authors--she's fun, sassy, and has an amazing voice. While this book isn't among my top picks of hers, it's still a very strong offering, and I enjoyed the character of Val immensely. I kept wavering between a 3 and a 4 on this one. It just didn't grip me as much as some of her other offerings. I think the initial attraction between Val and Sammie felt a little bit contrived, and Sammie just didn't seem mature enough to warrant Val's attention beyond the superficial. However, Val is a great character, and Karl (who makes an appearance in several of her books) is his usual bad-good self, and White is always worth the read. She remains on my auto-buy list :)

"Samair Jones is bored with her go-nowhere job and fed up with her two-timing boyfriend. She's had it up to here with being a pushover. All Samair wants is to let loose, be herself, and live by her own rules.

"But it's only when she meets Valentine Ward, the hot owner of the club Risque, that the decadent possibilities of answering only to herself become daringly clear. Especially when Valentine is willing to indulge every one of Samair's fantasies -- no strings attached. At least none that Samair can see ..."
~~back cover

An absolutely awful book -- don't bother reading it. You know the plot just by reading the back cover blurb -- it's the same plot in most of the books in this genre. There's neither good writing or realistic characterizations to rescue it either. Meh

Strangely erotic and very entertaining. It is one of those books that just holds your attention because it's just so different than the usual. The sex scenes were extremely hot. The plot with her starting up her own design company and him trying to save his nightclub from his bitchy ex set on revenge was very unique. There just wasn't a whole lot of angst and drama and conflict to it when it came right down to Val and Samair. I felt the same way about Bound. But it was hot...I mentioned that right? :)

Liked it, but there was nothing special about it.

It was ok. No major flaws. Samair is trated badly by her boss so she quits her job. She catches her boyfriend having sex with another, so she breaks up with him and moves out. She stays with a girl friend and goes to a nightclub where she meets the owner Val. They have a steamy relationship. His ex-wife is causing problems for his business. Samair starts designing and sewing clothing and lingerie.

DATA:
Sexual language: erotic. Number of sex scenes: about twelve. Setting: current day Vancouver, Canada. Genre: erotic romance.
