"I now pronounce you husband and wife...."

Rachel just couldn't tell David that her twin, Roxanne, had left him at the altar--so she took her sister's place, with no one the wiser. Now Rachel was on a very unplanned honeymoon, with the man she'd secretly loved for years.

David's strong embrace and tender smiles made her think that maybe the groom of her dreams could become her forever husband, if only he grew to love her as much as she loved him. But when the truth was finally told, would David realize that this wedding could be the start of a love for a lifetime?

Patricia Ann Kay (born March 7, 1937), also known as Trisha Alexander and Ann Patrick, is an American bestselling author of romance novels and women's fiction. She has authored more than 50 books, with four million copies published in 18 countries

Patricia Ann Kay was born on 7 March 1937 in a small town in northeastern Ohio, USA, where she raised along with three younger sisters. She considers herself a very lucky woman. The family didn’t have a lot of money, but she says that didn’t matter, because what they did have was worth more than money — a happy home. Her parents had a good marriage and they doted on their four daughters. That upbringing is reflected in the stories she writes. As readers all over the world have discovered, her books are filled with warmth and love of family.

Pat has lived in upstate New York, Northern Alabama, Southern California, and Stockholm (Sweden), and since 1969, in Houston, Texas with her husband. She says that no matter where she’s lived, she’s found that people everywhere are the same and want the same things: love and committed relationships. The marriage has three terrific grown children. They currently share their home with two longhaired cats, and a backyard filled with squirrels, birds, and other critters. Her hobbies and other interests include reading, walking for exercise, going to the movies and the theater, swimming, and traveling.

In 1990, Pat sold her first romance novel to Silhouette. Since then, more than four million copies of her novels have been published in eighteen different countries.

I couldn't finish the book. It is too stupid. How come noone even their father, fiance and childhood friends can't tell twins apart? If it was a momentary thing with a veil on I would understand but it went on and on!

Dropped a star because frankly the author didn't manage to convince me that it was NOT cringe to impersonate your twin on her wedding day, her honeymoon, married life, the works - all WITHOUT letting the groom know. The poor H has moony eyes for his supposed wife and keeps declaring eternal love and lust to her. The marriage was actually not even legal cz of the name change. There are pages and pages of the h feeling like shit about tricking him tbh, but meh not enough. He does eventually find out obvs.

The h and her twin are super identical, apparently so much that their own father, the sister's long term fiancé, and their entire social circle doesn't recognize who's in the bridal dress.

A part of me wanted to believe that the H had just switched his infatuation of the physical similarity to the next in line girl, but tbh we do see him appreciating her softer moods, manners, kindness, calmness yada yada so basically he fell IN love again, with the right sister this time. The other selfish twin did NOT deserve a HEA for cheating on her besotted fiancé and sleeping around until the night before her wedding, and she is actually rewarded by marrying a zillionaire Mexican with a castle and is expecting a baby with him by book end.

The love scenes were intense and tasteful. Poor besotted H realized towards the end whom it was he really loved.

Pardon me, but isn't impersonating someone, making someone else believe you really are that person and then going to bed with that person classified as rape these days? So apparently, we have a h who repeatedly raped the H by making him believe he's her twin sister! DISGUSTING!!!!!

DNF

And I hope anyone who does and doesn't label this rape will stop and think how they'd feel if the H did the same to the h; I'm sure no one would hesitate to call it rape then!
