The author received her bachelor of arts in journalism from Louisiana State University, where she reported on the gubernatorial elections and also worked as an announcer at a Christian radio station. She later served as a writer and editor at Focus on the Family, with her articles appearing in Focus on the Family, Christianity Today, Plugged In, and other publications. One of the publications she helped to pioneer at Focus on the Family won a national award from the Evangelical Press Association in its second year of circulation. She and her husband of 24 years, David, along with their son Joshua, now reside in Kentucky.

The lessons and insights surfaced from simple ordinary daily life events is inspirational.
I realize how important every moment of every day in my life is to my Father.
