B-Squad Book Two

Freelance investigator Isaac Camacho has a weakness for bitchy blondes, and no one fits the bill quite like former beauty queen and gold digger Tamara Post. She’s sexy, feisty and on the run from a cult leader. Complicated women? Oh he loves them almost as much as he loves watching Tamara act like a total ice queen when he knows she burns white hot.

Calculating opportunist Tamara Post never cared what anyone thought about her—except for her sister. But when her sister dies, it’s up to Tamara to hide her teenage niece so the girl’s dictatorial father can’t marry her off to one of his disciples. The last thing Tamara has time for is Isaac—a man who flirts as well as he fills out a pair of worn jeans and whose stubborn determination to help makes it hard to act as if she’s really as cold as she appear.

When the bad guys find her, there’s only one person Tamara can depend on to help keep her alive until her niece is safe. But once the life and death chase is on, it’s not just their lives Tamara and Isaac are risking…but their hearts.

Bang was an OK read for me, I think I would have enjoyed it much better if I’d have read the first book in the series. Quite frankly I was hoping for a whole lot more action but I have to say the action that I did get was nicely done.

My favorite character of this read was the hero Isaac. He was everything I am hoping for in a hero, SEXY, smart, caring, kind, and protective. He has a dark backstory that added to his appeal oh and of course he’s great in bed.

I did not care much for the heroine Tamara at first, but she redeemed herself quite nicely by the end of the book. What made me grow to like her was the way she would do ANYTHING to keep her niece Essie safe.

There was some decent heat added into this story. Once Isaac and Tamara started getting it on I felt the chemistry they shared. There was not a whole lot of sex scenes added in but the few that were added were very HOT!

I really wished there would have been more written about the cult and Jarrod the villain, I feel it would have added a bit more to the overall story line.

Overall I did like Bang enough to maybe continue on with the next book in this series when it’s released.

Well, this was an interesting read. Avery Flynn has always been on my TBR list and she totally didn’t disappoint me with Bang.

I do have to say that Tamara is not my favorite female character. She is, in a word, a Bitch. She’s rude, she’s ignorant, she’s conniving … she’s a Bitch. She’s insecure and puts on a facade to hide it. Even as her past unfolds and we learn a little about why she is this way, I couldn’t feel sorry for her. It’s her way or the high-way and the rest be damned. She knows what is best for her and her niece and she’s going to do it her way. She finds it hard to trust anyone … depend on anyone … open up to anyone … love anyone but her niece. Until Isaac Comacho and the B Squad show her that she has never been alone in her quest to keep her niece safe.

Isaac has his own problems and adding Tamara to the list is not the smartest thing he has ever done. He’s a lone wolf and can never be a team player again. But, Tamara is definitely his kryptonite and there’s nothing that he can do to stay away from her. His instinct is to protect her no matter how many times she insults him, pushes him away and tells him that their night together was a one-time thing. She’s extremely blunt with him, tells him like it is and makes him face what he’s running from. He will do whatever he has to do to help her, even fall in love with the ice queen.

The B Squad seems like an interesting bunch of characters. Coming from all facets of life and having their own secrets and talents, they make one interesting family. They brought Tamara into the fold even after her stunt with their boss … they have been trying to get Isaac into the fold for a long time. It takes a life-threatening situation to make them both realize that their place is with them. I can’t wait to see where they are all leading.

Avery Flynn did a wonderful job putting together two totally opposite people, making them work together and having them fall in love. The story was very interesting and was not your usual romantic suspense. There were times when you sat on the edge of your seat and times when you just relaxed and enjoyed the story. But, there was always a feel of utter doom that had you wondering just where everything would lead. She surprised me and thrilled me. She brought out the best and worst in all of the characters and actually had me scratching my head trying to figure out some of the characters games they were playing. I still haven’t figured that out so I will have to wait and see where she takes them later on in the series. But, I do have to give Avery Flynn kudos for the way she lightened up the story … she nailed the Beauty Pageant aspect of this story. She also hit the nail on the head with the stigma surrounding baton twirling. Yep, I twirled baton since age 4, did the beauty pageant scene and know, for a fact, just how deadly a baton could be.

I enjoyed this book, just as I did the first one but I did feel that it lacked some action. The connection between Isaac and Tamara was intense and I enjoyed seeing her fight it since usually it's the guy in these types of stories that fight the attraction.

Overall, not bad...I was just left with wanting more.

Bang is the second novel in author Avery Flynn's B-Squad series, about a private investigative team. This second novels picks up where the epilogue of the first novel, Brazen, ended, and finds Tamara Post on the run from her brother-in-law's henchmen. A former beauty queen, Tamara has a reputation for being an ice-cold bitch, but Isaac Camacho isn't afraid of her. In fact, difficult blondes are his specialty. So when Tamara realizes her cover is blown, and needs help keeping her niece Essie out of her twisted dad's clutches, Isaac is the perfect man for the job. The problem is: Tamara just doesn't know it.

I really enjoyed the suspenseful story, and especially loved how Avery Flynn turned an unlikable character into someone readers could empathize with. In Brazen, Tamara was a torn in her ex-husband Taz's side, and almost ruined his relationship with Bianca. Once her motives are revealed, readers got the opportunity to learn more about Tamara and her complicated history. Not only that, but readers also get the opportunity to learn more about Isaac, who was a minor character in the first novel.

What I enjoyed most about this book was the way Flynn developed Isaac and Tamara's relationship. They weren't an Insta-Couple, but instead slowly found their way together. Even though the attraction always existed, they are dealing with important problems that don't take a back-burner to their romance. This was wonderful as the storyline had already been set up in the previous novel, and it would have been a shame if it got waylaid while the romance developed. This made the story read as more relatable, and I found it easy to become invested in the story.

I recommend this novel to fans of suspenseful, crime romances with tough guys, and even tougher girls. Avery Flynn delivers the heat, as well as provide enough action to propel the story forward at a steady pace. The characters are complex, and very relatable. The only downside to this novel was that I found the villain to be kind of cookie-cutter, but other than that, I found the book to be quite entertaining. In fact, I can't wait for the third installment to be released. This review was originally posted on I Was Angelized_1st

Tamara Post may be an opportunist and just about every name she's been called, but one thing that's not in doubt is that she loves her niece and would do anything to keep her safe. And even though she's fiercely independent and determined to do things her own way, she knows that's she out of her depth and needs to accept the help of the B-Squad to keep her niece safe from her father.

Isaac Camacho is a lone ranger by choice but his hero complex means that he won't let Tamara fight by herself to protect her niece. Well, that and the fact that her hot body and her ice-cold attitude keep him hot and bothered. One might consider him a glutton for punishment especially because of Tamara's reputation but on closer look, she uses her reputation and frosty attitude to keep people away.

This was a very exciting read for me and I haven't read any of the preceding books in the series, but it's pretty clear that Tamara is the girl to hate based on her conduct in the previous book. What I love about her is her independence and her take-no-prisoners attitude. She knows that she hasn't lived a stellar life and she owns it. Isaac on the other hand hides his hunger to belong behind a nonchalance that anyone can see through but he's the guy you want having your back when things go sideways because he won't quit on you.

Overall this was a really engaging and enjoyable read because it had passion, action, suspense and great characters. The camaraderie among the team and the way they enfolded both Tamara and Isaac into the team and supported them was something I really enjoyed and I look forward to more of the series.

REVIEW:
This was a fun, fast paced story that kept me eagerly reading to see what happens next. Of course, Isaac is a super-hottie with charm to spare. I like how Ms. Flynn kept that southern charm from becoming too overblown. Tamara is a determined woman who has learned to show others just what she wants them to see. I did have a hard time liking her, but I cared too much for her goal to let my indifference get in the way. Which is a good thing because it was worth the read. Overall it was a sexy romance with enough action to keep you glued to the pages. I am a fan of the B-Squad and will wait impatiently for the next installment.

Another action packed story from Avery Flynn!

This was filled with action and some serious chemistry between Issac and Tamara. Honestly, I wasn't sure I was going to like Tamara being the heroine in here after what she did in Brazen. Don't get me wrong, she had the best of reasons for her actions, but when you try to come between the hero and heroine, I don't like you LOL Part of what turned my feelings for her around was that she also thought she didn't deserve the kindness of the B-Squad cause of what she did. Thankfully, they all thought different :)

Tamara is the girl everybody loves to hate. The only person she trusts and depends on is herself. Isaac is the lone wolf. He doesn't work for anyone or with anyone. But he can't seem to let Tamara be. When everything she's done till now to keep her niece safe falls apart her first instinct is to run. But Issac and the B-Squad won't let her fight this battle alone. She is one of them now. Together they must learn to trust each other and work as a team. And trust the B-Squad to have their backs.

Loved this book two of the B Squad.

This is Issac and Tamara's story and it is full of suspense of the love variety and also what will happen to both Tamara and her niece, Essie, after a bounty hunter has tracked down Tamara.

Now it's a mad scramble for Tamara and Issac to get to Essie before she is taken. And while both of them feel like they must go this alone, this might just make them rethink that decision.

I love Ms. Flynn's writing and have since the first book of her I read. She is a definite must read for me.

I'm telling you right now if you haven't started this series you're missing out. Another winner by Avery. I could not put this one down. We met Tamara in Brazen and boy I was not a fan of her, but this book has changed my mind. This book shows you the true Tamara. Then you add in yummy Isaac into the mix what a combination. This book has what expect when reading a book by Avery; passion, humor, action, suspense, and intrigue. This book has left me wanting more from this series!

Isaac is a southern, sexy man and I loved that he has manners, "I don't think so." He shook his head. "My mom would skin me alive for having guests over and not feeding them properly." I loved Isaac, I enjoyed this book.

"The day we met I promised I'd only lead you true. In reality, it was you who showed me exactly where I needed to be"

If you are looking for a fast paced, action packed story, full of romance, sexual tension, intriguing characters with strong personalities, then look no further than the next instalment in the B-Squad series, Bang. If you read my review of Book 1, Brazen (Go on, I'll wait while you go and refresh your memory -link to my first link: review

Tamara is the ex wife who tried to bribe Taz and destroy his relationship with Bianca. Of course, the B-squad found out the truth and real motivation behind Tamara's actions, and took her under their wing, giving her a job and a second chance. Our male protagonist, Isaac, is the self professed lone wolf of the B-Squad team, not fully committing to the group, preferring to answer to no-one, responsible for his own actions.

Now, there are some who would wonder why Tamara deserved a second chance, but I thought there would have to be some pretty big issues that would make her behave that way, and I was right. Apart from trying to keep her niece's whereabouts a secret from her cult leading father, Tamara also had memories of her mother's words that had taken up residence in her psyche and wouldn't let go. Fast forward some years and Tamara has sworn herself off relationships, trying to put her past, and her mothers conditioning, behind her. She has shut herself off from getting close to anyone, relying only on herself, trying to handle everything on her own, at times to her detriment. Case in point, the situation she now finds herself in. As her life is threatened, and therefore her niece's, Tamara thinks she can handle it, not wanting to burden everyone else with her problems. Of course, Isaac will not let that happen. What follows is a race to stay alive long enough to warn her niece and get her to safety, putting this pair in more than a few dangerous and tense situations.

As outside threats close in and threatens the entire team, Tamara calls on the B-Squad for help and she soon finds out just what real family means. She discovers just how important it is to have a good support network, how soul nourishing it is to know you have people around you that will always have your back. Tamara really was carrying so much emotional and mental baggage, along with the constant anxiety stemming from her nieces situation, that it was any wonder she was so stubborn and closed off. But she did have her aha moment and I was glad to see her evolve and let people in.

Isaac is a complex character and as we begin to understand more of Isaac's past, we learn why he is so reluctant to depend on anyone and be tied to them. A stint in Afghanistan and traumatic departure from the service, left emotional and mental scars, memories that keep reminding him why he thinks he is best working and living alone. Working freelance for the B-Squad, he is extremely good at his job, protecting the vulnerable, ferreting out the bad guys with precision and efficiency, earning him the reputation as one of the best.

Isaac and Tamara are drawn to each other, each a kindred spirit, experiencing feelings far beyond the physical attraction. As they are forced into constant, close proximity, their mutual attraction reaches fever pitch, the smoldering sexual tension and chemistry, evident since their first meeting, taunting them with every look and every touch. And when they finally let go and trusted each other with their hearts, it was all that was promised. I loved these two together, they clicked and connected immediately. They each had the others measure and knew intuitively where the other was coming from even if they didn't know it themselves.

I can always count on Avery Flynn to give me a story that keeps me guessing, characters that require realistic growth to find their way to each other, and satisfying thrilling suspense that keeps me turning pages well into the early hours. Tamara and Isaac sounded like opposites on paper but they were written so well they worked and meshed beautifully, and you couldn't help but be drawn to them finding the love, trust and loyalty that they had been missing. Bang was a roller coaster of suspense and action with a great romance seamlessly woven in. Of course the other members of the B-Squad are fully involved in the storyline and we are given lovely teasers about the next couple in focus. There was a great balance of light hearted and serious moments, those that gave me pause and those that had me smiling from ear to ear. I love a good, gritty romantic suspense and Bang delivered in spades.

Fun and steamy romantic suspense with lots of banter!

"Things so seldom go exactly the way we plan."

Bang by Avery Flynn is the second book in her B-Squad series and an intriguing read. As with Bulletproof, the prequel, and Brazen, Bang is hot and steamy with plenty of sizzle and sass. Fans of the series will enjoy catching up with the B-Squad gang with their family-like dynamics. The bantering between the characters is a hoot - wicked, yummy and rife with witty snark. This is the story of two complete opposites - opportunist Tamara Post and private investigator Isaac Camacho.

The story picks up where Brazen left off with Tamara on the run from her brother-in-law's henchmen. It’s a rough road, but Tamara finally comes to realize that she cannot keep Essie, her niece, out of her twisted dad's clutches without help. And the B-Squad is there for her with stalwart Isaac leading the fray. Now, it’s a race for Tamara and Isaac to get to her niece before her father grabs her.

Tamara was first introduced in Brazen. It was not a favorable entrance. She’s Taz’s ex-wife and a thorn in his side. She almost ruined his relationship Bianca. She is a combo of a hot body and a cold attitude. The team has forgiven her for her previous actions, but she’s still a rude, conniving shrew. Avery pulls off an admirable and somewhat successful recharacterization of Tamara by unmasking her past and explaining why and how she became such a nasty person. As the story progresses, readers are treated to a primer on behind the scenes at beauty pageants and baton twirling.

Isaac is a freelancer with the B-Squad. He doesn’t always play well with others and prefers to work as a lone wolf. Isaac is quite likeable and he’s taken with Tamara. He loves her ice queen demeanor and that she’s trouble personified with a fanatic cult leader hot on her trail. Adding her to his long list of problems is not the smartest thing he’s ever done. Regardless, he’s got it bad for her and is determined to protect her no matter how many times she insults him, pushes him away and insists that their night together was a one-time meaningless thing. (Stupid, stupid woman!!!!)

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from B-Squad:

This was going to be like hunting black cats at midnight on a moonless night.
---
"Just dinner?"
If there was a God in heaven, no was the answer to that.
"Whatever else is up to you and that little voice inside you telling you to jump my bones like a trampoline, darlin'."
This time she did roll her eyes. "How charming."
"Trust me, my charm isn't what the ladies love most about me."
---
She pushed a finger against his shoulder, pushing him so he was flat on his back on the bed. "Now behave yourself and I'll show you how much fun I can be."
---
He'd been going out with his right hand for so long they were practically common law spouses.

Even though this is the second book in Avery’s B-Squad series, it can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone, if that is your preference as it has a self-contained plot and romance. Actually, if you haven’t read Brazen, you will come in to this story without a preconceived notion regarding Tamara – which would not be a bad thing.

I always enjoy Avery’s books. They’re fresh, emotional and entertaining. Avery has described the B-Squad as Charlie’s Angels meets the A-Team meets Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The books each feature feisty heroines and alpha guys. They are fun and steamy romantic suspense with lots of banter. While I, personally, never did really connect with Tamara – that doesn’t mean that another reader wouldn’t. I still thoroughly enjoyed reading this installment and I look forward to reading Blade which will be released this coming Spring!

Suggested Reading Order:
The B-Squad Series
Bulletproof (Prequel)
Brazen (Book #1)
Bang (Book #2)
Blade (Book # 2.5) - Coming March 2017

I am loving this series from Avery Flynn, and Isaac and Tamara are my new favorite couple!

After reading Brazen, we have good reason to hate on Tamara a bit after the stunt she pulled on Taz just when he was trying to solidify his relationship with Bianca, but we also learned she had a reason for her actions. For years the only person Tamara had to think about was herself, but when her sister died and begged Tamara to save her 16 year old daughter Essie from her unbalanced cult leader ex-husband Jarrod, Tamara can't say no. After stashing her niece with a trusted friend, Tamara has stayed in Texas and has been informally adopted by the B Squad ladies despite her actions.

Isaac Camacho is a lone wolf private investigator loosely attached to the B Squad ladies and Taz's brothers. After being dismissed from military service for failure to follow an order, being a PI is the next best thing that he has found to utilize his skills while having the autonomy to operate as he sees fit. When Taz asked him to check into Tamara, Isaac ran down all the information he could which is why he recognizes a bounty hunter heading her way in time to get her the heck out of Dodge.

Tamara's ice queen act has been a steadily cultivated image that has gotten her through life so very many times, but Isaac can see through the facade way too easily for her comfort. And the sex on legs cowboy is far too dangerous to her mental health to allow him to get too close because a distraction is the last thing she can afford right now. Her motto in life has always been "trust no one" thanks to her mother who we soon find out would never win any Mother of the Year awards. She has a plan B, C and D to back up her original plan to keep Essie safe, but when Jarrod finds her against the odds, Isaac is determined to make her see that she is not alone and she can trust him and the B Squad ladies to have her back- even if there is a running office pool on how long it will take for Tamara to give into him. If he has to play a little dirty to bring her around to his way of thinking, he is certainly on board with that plan... and oh my are they combustible when they do finally give in to that undeniable chemistry between them!

Tamara may portray an icy front to the world, but she is all heat and passion beneath that facade. She is a bit of a ball buster and had me laughing at her sassy little comments to Isaac, but he is more than a match for her in every way. Isaac is a natural born protector who has been a bit adrift since leaving the military, and he can take what Tamara dishes out with ease. When she tries to throw up roadblocks, he tears them down or just goes right around them. When she throws uncomfortable truths at him in an effort to push him away, he absorbs them and derails her by acknowledging them. When Taz tries to lay some misguided big brother/ ex-husband heavy handed caveman routine on him, Isaac doesn't hesitate to call Taz on his bullshit. Damn I love this guy!

The suspense of waiting for the other shoe to fall in the form of Jarrod finding either Tamara or Essie doesn't last overly long, and from there it is go time! The B Squad jumps into action to help whether Tamara likes it or not, and she doesn't waste time in realizing she actually does like it despite her tendency to be a loner. The urgency just intensifies the feelings between Tamara and Isaac which leads to some bumps in the road. Relationships between the other B Squad ladies and some of Taz's brothers are developing too, and that is just as much fun to watch! All in all, I am really enjoying this series, and I will be eagerly awaiting the next story. If you haven't read the previous books, I do recommend them but you can read Bang as a standalone and go back to them later so definitely add this book to your reading list!

Are you ready for more kick-ass action, snark and sass from Avery Flynn and the gang at B-Squad? Of course you are, silly question. This time B-Squad is back with the story of Tamara, the character that made readers either love her or hate her after her appearance in Brazen (Book 1). To be honest, I started in the first category but ended up in the latter by the end of that book and after devouring her book, I can say with confidence, I’m 100% team Tamara.

Pair her up with the ever surprising Isaac Camancho, (seriously, the man has more facets than a diamond and all of them are appealing) and you get the trademark sass, snark, high octane, unputdownable read that is another B-Squad book and one that I have no doubt will change a few readers minds about Tamara.

From the beginning you will be hooked and feeling the heat and spark that Tamara and Isaac create. These two are a perfect match for each other. They both see themselves as loners in the group even though both are pivotal to the team but when paired together to save Tamara’s niece from her father they make a team that’s unbreakable and make the other realise that being part of a team has its advantages.

Plus these two burn hot for each other, really hot and when the line from snark to sex is crossed, holy hotness batman. Isaac may have a reputation as a ladies man, but he can certainly deliver on his promises. (fans self thinking about it). Oil and water never mix right, well you haven’t met Isaac and Tamara.

The other squad members will have you cracking up with their nosy antics when it comes to this pair. It wouldn’t be B-Squad if they didn’t. Plus we see the ground work being laid out for the next couple of pairing’s and I for one cannot wait for it to happen. It’s going to be hot.

Anyway back to Bang, this book was hands down a fantastic read. I’ve been a fan of this author from her first book and each one only gets better and Bang is proof of this. She managed to make a character that polarised readers and made her not only likeable but lovable and gave her a hero who is not just hot, swoon worthy and dream boat material but…….sorry lost my chain of thought thinking about Isaac. I loved him maybe a little too much. Sighhhhhh.

Back on track now. This can totally be read as a standalone or as part of the series. It’s up to you, but I suggest starting at the beginning and binge reading them. Or if like me you have already read all the books, RE-READ THEM!!!! Why not? Hot men, feisty women, action and suspense what more could you ask for. Avery Flynn you rock with this series, now write faster so we don’t have to wait as long for the next book

Avery Flynn knows how to write action packed, scorching hot books. In Bang, the second book in the B-Squad series, she brings together two unlikely people who are explosive and a perfect match for each other.

Since she was a child, Tamara Post’s mother has drilled into her that looks and money are everything. Forced into competing in beauty pageants and being with sugar daddies, Tamara has created and maintained an ice queen persona to keep her feelings at bay. Now, with the death of her sister, Tamara is thrust into survival and protection mode when her niece's father tries to sell her off to the highest bidder. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do to make sure her niece is safe, even if it means blackmailing her ex-husband.

Isaac Camacho believes himself to be a lone wolf. He’s running from and haunted by his past. This former Marine always tries to do what’s right. When Tamara tries to blackmail her former husband, Isaac is tasked with looking into her life. When he discovers her brother-in-law is the leader of a cult and that there’s an arrest warrant out on Tamara for kidnapping, the good guy in him has to help her out.

Tamara never expected to find an ally in Isaac, in helping to protect and rescue her niece. Neither expected to fall in love with each other or find a home with B-Squad, the company owned by Tamara’s ex-husband and his fiancée.

I'm a huge fan of Melissa Cutler's ICE Black Ops series and the B-Squad series reminds me of that series. Bang is really good. Avery did a wonderful job of putting in details that allow the reader to visualize what's happening. I just wanted more shoot ’em up, bang up action that I know Avery is capable of giving. While the members of B-Squad make appearances, I wanted more time with them.

The characters of Tamara and Isaac surprised me with their depth, heart, passion and true personalities. They made it extremely easy to lose myself to the book and their story. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

This is a great book, this is the second book in the B-Squad series written by Avery Flynn. Isaac Camacho is a freelance investigator and has a weakness for bitchy blondes and former beauty queen and gold digger Tamara Post fits the bill perfectly. Tamara Post has never cared what anyone thought of her except her sister. When her sister dies, it's up to Tamara to hide her teenage niece so the girl's dictatorial father can't marry her off to one of his disciples. When the bad guys find her, she knows that Isaac is the only one she can depend on to help her. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

"Bang" by Avery Flynn

My Thoughts....

This was another good series B Squad #2 by this author of 'Bang' that was definitely a attention grabber and being a 'bang' of a good read by this author. I would really suggest that you read B Squad # 1 Bazen to really understand what has happened earlier for some of these characters. I loved this story that was about Tamara [Taz's ex from B Squad #1]former beauty queen {who was on the run from her brother in law's {Jarrod's} henchmen} and Isaac Camacho [private
investigator/security specialist, and ex marine] that was truly a sweet love story. Be ready for fun, 'action packed read, with suspense, humor, intrigue and some sexy steamy scenes.' I loved how this author brings out that southern charm that Isaac seems to bring out to the reader in the read. I also loved how the author brings to us a true Tamara. This author brings two very unlikely people together who seem to be the perfect match for each other as the reader is given the 'depth, heart, passion and true personalities' of each of their own story. But is that to be? Will Isaac be able to protect and rescue Tamara's sixteen year old niece as well as Tamara? I loved how the reader is able to visualize from this author's storytelling of what's happening as they read through this good read. I found all the characters very well developed, portrayed and very intriguing giving the reader quite a good read in this series #2. Will Tamara and Isaac finally get their HEA? This is where I say you will to pick up this good read to see how well this author presents it to the readers. It will be one entertaining good romantic suspenseful read!

I loved every minute of this thrilling and sexy story! Ms Flynn did a 'Bang' up job of redeeming Tamara the 'Ice Queen' after the stunt she pulled in the previous book, Brazen. She has lived her whole life believing that she could never trust anyone but herself. Her mother brainwashed her to believe that she had to hide her true feelings and do whatever it took to marry for money. So she perfected her blonde bitch persona. That is what drew sexy former marine, Isaac to her. He loves a challenge and blondes with bad attitudes did it for him. Isaac was a lone wolf, telling everyone he wasn't a team player after what he endured in Afghanistan. Both Isaac and Tamara didn't know how to trust anyone but themselves. When Tamara's sister is dying, she asks Tamara to protect her daughter, Essie from Essies' father. Tamara proves she is not just a dumb blonde but is smart, strong and resourceful. She has a multilayered plan to keep Essie hidden and safe away from her cult leader father before he could force the young teen to get married. When things don't go as smoothly as planned Tamara can't help but turn to the sexy southern investigator and her new family, the B-Squad. Isaac and Tamara are great together. They challenge each other, their banter is their foreplay and their chemistry is off the charts! The rest of the B-Squad are essential to this story. Their interactions were sarcastic and fun but also steamy at times and they always had each others backs. This story is fast paced with several twists and turns that keep you turning the pages. I loved this exhilarating, suspenseful and sexy story so much! I can't wait to read more about the B-Squad!

I wasn’t too sure what to expect going into this one since I wasn’t too keen on the heroine from her appearance in the last book, but in the end, this one really worked for me. Throw in that snark and sass that you can always depend on in an Avery Flynn book, and this was an action-filled, fast-paced, fun read with some great characters.

Tamara has some real trust issues, Isaac is plagued by his past and considers himself a lone wolf, together these two should have all sorts of problems…but somehow Avery Flynn manages to create two characters who, as unlikely as it is, fit together perfectly. Not that they didn’t have their share of issues along the way, but from the beginning it was easy to see how Tamara and Isaac were just what the other needed.

And of course when you throw the rest of the B-Squad in to the mix you know you are going to get all sorts of colorful characters to help the story along. I loved getting to know Marko and Elisa better – I can just tell these two are going to be all sorts of trouble together. And seeing the B-Squad pull together to help one of their own – makes me want to be one of the group.

This one can be read as a standalone, but getting to see how these characters have evolved was a treat, so I would recommend starting from the beginning. If you like your romantic suspense fast-paced and action packed, filled with snark, sass, and sexy times, then this one needs to be on your TBR!

Wow! This book has a little bit of everything – action, suspense, gun-fights, a bitchy heroine, lone wolf hero, with a side of insane cult leader to boot. Seriously…Can it get any better than that?! Well throw in a smoking hot sex scene and off the charts chemistry between the main characters (and even a few of the secondary characters) and call me HOOKED!
Tamara Post, a former beauty queen and reformed gold digger finds herself pursued by her brother-in-law’s henchman. Isaac Camacho a private investigator/security specialist is instantly attracted to Tamara’s cold persona and decides to do whatever it takes to ensure her safety.
What I liked – The pace and writing were great. I enjoy a bit of action with my romance, so this book satisfied both those needs. The main characters are well developed. It took a little while for Tamara to grow on me, but once I found out why she was so distant my heart melted instantly. Isaac was an instant hit for me. I can’t resist a hot-guy hero with a penchant for difficult woman. After all that sounds like a man after my own heart!
What I found difficult to accept – I didn’t really dislike anything about the book. It’s a solid read and very entertaining. With that said, the conflict and drama was a little bit over the top for me.
Overall, I rate it 4.5 Wacky Sexy Stars! I can’t wait for the next 2 installments. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Elisa and Marko.

BANG

This book is very well written romance about Isaac Camacho, man who is believes he can't be a part of a team so he does side investigation for the B-Sqaud and Tamara Post, a woman and ex beauty queen, raised to believe she is nothing more than arm candy for rich men. I actually started out not liking Tamara because of her antics in the previous book. Boy, was I wrong!! Tamara turned out to be a very strong and intelligent woman who can take care of herself but had never been given the chance to prove it. Camacho is the perfect match to show her she is more than a pretty face. This story was riveting with internal conflict and seduction. I LOVED it!! Can't wait to read the next book in this series, they just keep getting better and better!!

Bang is book 2 in the B-Squad series by Avery Flynn but it can read as a standalone without having had read the first book.

Issac Camacho is a freelance investigator for B-Squad but he is determined to melt the ice around Tamara Post heart, even if he has to drink fruity Cosmos in a bar with her. But he has to rescue you almost immediately from a ruthless bounty hunter who has been sent to find her and her niece by her brother-in-law. Once he finally melts the ice queen they are taken on a wild ride trying to avoid and then rescue her niece from a cult leader, who wants to marry her off to one of his followers.

Tamara Post is a former beauty queen and just wants one thing to keep her niece Essie safe from her cult leader father even if they have to move from place to place to keep her safe. She doesn't want anyone's help but when Jarrod snatches Essie and takes her back to Idaho. But what she learns is that the B-Squad which is run by her former husband Taz, is they protect and help one of their own even if she doesn't want help. When Tamara and Issac frantically rush to rescue Essie from her father it will take the entire team plus Issac to take down a fanatic cult leader with the help of ATF and B-Squad.

The action scenes are awesome and of course when Issac finally melts Tamara's ice with a bit of hot loving will have you asking when is the next book out?

If anybody writes the hot sexy loner with deep seated issues well it's Flynn. Isaac is the guy with issues from his service as a Marine, doesn't want to be part of a team but yet seems to crave the closeness of friends. Tamara is the girl we loved to hate when she got between Taz and Bianca by blackmailing him for the sake of her niece. We met her in Brazen and her story continues in Bang with Isaac as she struggles to keep her niece hidden from Jarrod. Jarrod runs a backwards cult/militia and wants his daughter so he can marry her off and gain power over the group again. Isaac and the B-squad team come together for family and are determined to rescue Essie. Not only do we have this awesome group of bad-ass men and women willing to put their lives on the line but we get a little romance too. A little wham bam thank you ma'am in between missions is just perfect to release the pressure. Not to be forgotten is the fantastical sexually charged banter between everybody - Tamara and Isaac can't help themselves, and Elise and Marko are sparking a small fire. Plenty more lined up in this series, you could jump in and read anywhere but that's not fun, start with Bulletproof. Thanks to Avery for my early review copy!

**4.5 stars**

Tamara Post does not want anything to do with a man. She is still trying to hide her niece that she kidnapped from her crazy father. She has to watch her back at all times. Being part of the B-Squad should make her feel safe but the truth is she doesn’t want to bother them with her troubles.

Isaac Camacho is a freelance Investigator that does some side work for the B-Squad. His latest job is to get information on Tamara Post and keep her safe. Being known for having a weak spot for beautiful blondes the instant reaction he has to Tamara is nothing short of lust. Right?

Tamara was introduced in the B-Squad series one book as the crazy ex-wife that was trying to get money out of her ex-husband. Even though I was not crazy about her in that book she has won me over in this book. Her intentions are good and all she wants to do is protect her family. Since she is stuck with the one man in the world that drives her crazy this book takes you on an intense read. Being a part of the B-Squad means you have people that watch your back for you.

Though I did not read the first book in the series, I thought this book worked just fine as a standalone. There were a lot of interesting characters with unusual personalities which made the book quite interesting. Tamara was definitely not your typical sweet nice heroine. She was prickly and closed off. Sometimes, she came across quite harshly. Fortunately, Isaac had a thing for blondes with an attitude. He spotted trouble coming before Tamara did and was determined she was going to let him help her. A bounty hunter was on her tail , and her former brother-in-law wanted to take her niece away from her. Tamara thought she had all of her troubles hidden and that no one on her team knew about them. She really didn't think they would be interested in helping her if they didn't know. She couldn't have been more wrong. Isaac and the rest of the team pull together to keep Tamara and her niece both safe.

Even though I was not familiar with this series before now, I have read and enjoyed several books by this author in the past. I am happy to have another series to add to my reading list.

I fell in love with the B-Squad in book two and now Bang has taken that love to a whole new level.

Tamara is in hiding from her brother-in-law after she stole his daughter into hiding. He was trying to sell his daughter to a rich man in exchange fro money. Now Tamara is working with the B-Squad while hiding from a finatic who has now hired bounty hunters to find her and his daughter. With all this on her mind Tamara didn't think she'd find time for love but Isaac Camacho wants her bad and she wants to let him have her.

Isaac lost a lot when he was in the war and so he's dubbed himself the man who doesn't play well with others. He likes taking the lead and doesn't like following orders. Despite this he ends up working for the B-Squad. When he finds out about Tamara he knows he has to help her.

I thought Bang was great. It was a fast paced read with good characters and a lot of action (both bang bang and sexual). I liked the story and found it exciting. I can't wait for the next book!

Bang is the 2nd book in the B-Squad Series and can be read as a standalone, but it does help to read the first book "Brazen" because you get the background information on all the characters. In the 1st book Tamara is the character that everyone hates because she is a former beauty queen and ... a bitch. She tries to extort money from her ex-husband. In the 2nd book "Bang" you find out the reasons for her actions in the 1st book, and you begin to like her.

Isaac is a southern hunk with charm and muscles to spare. He is a freelance investigator and because a sucker for a bitchy damsel in distress, he naturally helps Tamara protect her niece from her evil brother-in-law. As Isaac has 6 sisters, he knows when to keep his mouth shut and went to push Tamara. He is attracted to her right away, but she fights it. And when she finally gives in ... well lets just say Ms Flynn sure knows how to write a steamy scene! I throughly enjoyed this fast paced book and can't wait for the next book in the series.
