This series was offered as a 5 book bundle and a kindleunlimited, so I decided, why not. I was originally going to write separate reviews for each book, but I've decided not to, and here's why: Every single book in this bundle felt almost identical. They had the same exact formula. All the characters felt the same, they reacted to situations the same etc. Very generic overall. I'd rate most of the books in this series a 2.5 star with the exception of Kirkland. I'm going to rate that book a 1.5 star because the hero was such a manwhore. In other books in the series he was constantly parading around women and screwing them, at times not even knowing their name. Ummm no thanks. By the time I even got to his book I had little interest in his character, but I did complete the book, and still did not feel as if he redeemed himself. I doubt I will read anymore of this writers work. It just felt overly predictable and generic. Cardboard characters and plot. I am glad it was offered on kindleunlimited though.

Gray Wolf Security

I read it as a bundle, but you can read them individually, unlike others that have a strong connection between the books, the connections on these is not as strong and you can enjoy them individually without problem. The connection you can find is that in some of the books, especially the last one, they are fighting with a cartel, but is not a strong connection, is more that they work together.

The series has five books, and most of the time it feels like Ash is running a dating service and not a security firm. As expected, all the relationships are developed while on duty, one of the operatives even has sex with most of his targets. The books are about Ash and those working for him.





Book 1 Donovan: Donovan and Kate grew up together. Donovan was Kate's twin brother's best friend. Just before graduation, they started a relationship, but then, on their graduation day Kate's brother was killed. Kate blamed Donovan for that and told him to get lost while in the hospital. Of course Donovan felt guilty and left. Years later Gray Wolf Security is hired to protect Kate, her father requesting Donovan because he trusted him. Of course Kate is mad and wants nothing to do with him, but her father doesn't take no for an answer and Donovan spend the next few days with Kate. Of course old feelings resurrect, and before long they start having sex and realizing that they both love each other as if time hasn't passed.

Later, Kate recognizes that Donovan wasn't to blame, and that she was angry more because Donovan left, than because she blamed him for her brother's death. Blaming him was a reaction because of the moment, but what really hurt her was that she needed someone to help her with her grief and Donovan was gone. Then it turns out that her brother's girlfriend blamed Kate for his death, and was trying to kill her because of that. Donovan managed to stop her and saved Kate. After that they decide to resume their relationship and get married like they planned when they were teenagers.



Book 2 David: David is Ash's brother. He was an FBI analyst, but the night that his father won the elections for senator, he was driving and had an accident where his parents died and he lost the use of his legs. The doctors can repair the damage, but he feels guilty for his parents death and thinks that being in a wheelchair is his punishment. His brother practically forced him to work for him, and he is in charge of all things electronic and IT related. Ricki is a former hacker now CEO that hires Gray Wolf, but she needs tech help and David is the right person. He hadn't been in a car in years, but he is the only one that can help so he ends up going to Ricki's office and then spending the night with her. They start a relationship based on sex and mutual pleasure, but when she tries to make it more, he gets mad and ends up pushing her away.

At the end David finds out that it was Ricki who orchestrated the attack to her software and hired them to hide her participation, she is trying to sell her business in a way that will let her employees better off. She feels guilty because the code is not hers, but from the friend that David helped send to jail. He confesses that he was the one who built the case against her friend, but she tells him she knew who David was before they got involved. Her friend committed suicide and she feels guilty because she turned her back to her even after her friend gave her the code to start her business. He tells her she shouldn't feel guilty and she says that neither does he, that his parents' deaths are not his fault. She is not the only one blaming her for that death, and because of that, another hacker tries to kill her, but they are able to help Ricki in time, only David feels useless because he is in a wheelchair and couldn't get to Ricki faster.

Ricki decides to go meet the husband of her friend to learn about her last years and finds that her friend killed herself because she had terminal cancer. He also tells her that her friend never blamed her for anything and understands what she did. At the same time that she is talking to him, David is undergoing the operations that is supposed to help him walk again, only he gets an infection and gets really sick. When Ricki finally arrives and finds what he did she is mad, not liking that he lied to her and a little bit afraid of him walking again. She broke up with him once he is out of danger, but can't be apart, so she goes to the place where he is being rehabilitated and spies on his sessions. David notices, and once he is able to walk again, set up a proposal for her and she agrees.



Book 3 Joss: Joss doesn't speak. She lost her husband and son in an accident, and was so heartbroken that she simply stopped speaking. She works for Ash, but she doesn't do jobs where children are involved, only they had a new case and she is the only one that can help. She goes to work for a guy and her job is to protect his daughter. Of course, like was expected they fall for each other and get physical. Carrington at first is not sure if she will be able to protect them, and when he starts falling for her he is not sure if he wants her in a dangerous position, but Joss proves that she is capable on more than one occasion, but when the cartel that's after him gets into his house and try to take his daughter, Joss manages to fight off two of them and get the child to safety, but she ends up getting shot, and then when they are running she losses her for a moment, and breaking her silence bow she ends up screaming for her. Once they get to safety, she is taken to the hospital. After that, the three of them go away to a safety place while the others clean up the mess, but the cartel boss is mad because his son was one of the guys arrested and tries to kill them. Carrington had just broken up with Joss when the cartel guys get into the house. She manages to stop them, even killing the boss, but she is hurt again and ends up in the hospital. It takes a while, but eventually Carrington goes back to Joss and asks for another opportunity, which is good because once he confesses his feelings and tell her that he wants her, she tells him that she is pregnant.



Book 4 Kirkland: Kirkland is a man whore, he takes every opportunity he has to bed his targets and his protection almost always includes sex on the side. Apparently the women he protects doesn't mind, and he has kind of a reputation, but when he is tasked with protecting Mabel he is warned that he can't be involved with her, since she is Ricki's friend. Mabel is the owner of a porn site, but she is a virgin that ended up with that job by pure luck. She may be innocent, but she is a shark in the conference room and plays everyone to her advantage while making deals. She is a very intelligent CEO and knows what she wants. She starts falling for Kirkland and decides that he is going to be the one to finally take her virginity. He reluctantly agrees to have sex with her, and even lets another opportunity to have sex with a girl so he can be with Mabel.

Of course is not easy, they both have issues, and he has commitment problems, also, he suspects that she doesn't really like him but Ash. They have sex, and everyone can see that they are falling for each other, everyone but Kirkland, who is trying to run away from her, but when they find out that Mabel is in the hands of the one that was trying to kill her, he runs to her rescue and accepts that he is in love with her and that they belong together.



Book 5 Ashford: So, Ashford was engaged to a CIA operative, but she disappeared and he was looking for her when his parents died. He started his business, but never stopped looking for her. David found her, but Ash can't accept the information that he gave him, because he still loves her and can't believe she would leave him. Then he finds Mina, just about to give birth and ends up delivering her son. He feels responsible for her and takes her home. Ash doesn't know much about her, just that she was in a bad situation and that her ex was abusive, but it turns out that Mina was with the new cartel boss, and he is after Ash. She doesn't say anything at first, because she is afraid of her ex and thinks that telling what she knows won't help anyone.

They start to have feeling for each other and that finally gets Ash to go and confront his ex and he discovers that she never really loved him, she was too self centered to worry about what her disappearing would do to him. He finally realizes that he doesn't know her as well as he thought he did, and that she is not the woman he loved. After that he is free to go after Mina. At the same time more and more of Ash's people is getting hurt Rose is beaten almost to death, and their police friend is shot, so Mina finally confesses about her ex. Ash feels betrayed and pushes her away as he tries to find a way to protect his people. Everyone is at the compound when they are attacked, and at the same time he realizes that Mina is gone. Mina was trying to prove to Ash that she loves him, so she called her ex and had him pick her up. When Ash finds out he gets mad, but then David explains that Mina was acting as bait and that now they have the locations and information on them. They go to the place and with the help of the police, they attack the cartel. Thanks to the information they got thanks to Mina they manage to take the upper hand and take them by surprise. Mina is with her ex when the attack starts, and he tries to get her out, but she manages to fight him off and kills him. Ash finds her and help her get out of there.

With the cartel finally down and everyone ok, Ash apologizes for doubting her and they decide to make things official between them.

Grew up together and shared a secret love. Throw in an unfortunate death, a psycho B**ch and some sexy Green Berets and you've got yourself one hellova story♥♡

David & Ricki
Ok, so I thought I couldn't love any characters more than Donovan & Kate...well, let's just say I love them equally♥♡ David suffered a tragedy I can't even consider and Ricki did something she lived to regret. Together, these 2 broken souls became 1 whole in such a beautifully, sexy, no holds barred start and ended in an even hotter, sexier, more heart warming begining of forever♡♡

Joss & Carrington
Wow! Talk about the strength to survive what the cruel world throws at you. Their story was heart wrenching, action packed, hot as hell and so worth it!♡♡♥♥ If anyone deserves cosmic karma to rain a flood of good on 2 people, it's Joss & Carrington♡

Kirkland & Mabel
Kirkland, the handsome operative that could charm the pants off any woman, but he only wanted them for the night. Mabel, the CEO of top video porn site that had a big secret that could ruin her. One indecent proposal presented by Mabel to Kirkland♡♡ Wow!

Ash & Mina
Waiting was so worth it to get to Ash's story! Talk about emotional, his and Mina's story was the story to end all stories in this crew. To see how it all came together at the end...wow!

Don't pass it up! You will most definitely NOT be sorry! Gotta Love that Gray Wolf Security Team!!!!! Love em all!

I only went ahead and read this series because I got it through Kindle unlimited. Each story had to do with one of the Gray Wolf Security character doing a job and falling in love for their security detail, except for Ash's story. His was so far fetched that I pretty much rolled my eyes through his story.
By the way, I don't know what the author was thinking when she named some of these characters and Mabel and Kirkland's love connection never developed that I'm still trying to figure out how the hell they fell in love!

The only story that seemed to have the only love connection was Donovan's story! The rest were so unrealistic and I didn't feel the love connections with the rest of the characters, It all seemed forced. This borrowed book is one that I will be glad to give back!

I absolutely loved this series. They are perfect for me as I love anything mixed with romance and danger. This series contains five individual stories about Donovan, David, Joss, Kirkland and Ashford and each story keeps the other characters alive and well so you get to follow along with the same characters throughout the entire series. These are stand-alone books but it would be better to start with the first book because there are things that get resolved that will give you a better sense of completion. Glenna Sinclair develops her characters so well and makes sure we understand the background of each character plus this series is written from dual perspectives to help us understand each character more. I would recommend her books to EVERYONE!

Good series

Okay honestly I struggled with 4 or 5 stars. I went with the benefit and gave it 5. My main issue was every story was them falling in love with an operative. Not sure how easily it would have been for them to find someone else but it just seemed like it was the same song different singer.
What I really want is more Rose too. Man she seemed to have a story.
All the alphas were done well and written to show their strengths and weaknesses. They overcame a lot together. I was also wanting more than we got with Alexi I just felt like it ended abruptly.
Joss was my fave for sure as the female and David for the male in the whole series.

This story was so interesting that it had me from the beginning. There was so much action and excitement with each character that we got a look at how the story was going to be told. I fell in love with Ash for simple fact that he is the Alpha male and the person who held the family together. In time we got to see the interaction of every main character which I loved. This box set was purely entertaining. The author knew how to grab our attention. I believe that she has some serious writing skills and I would highly recommend any and all my friends that read. There was love, hate, laughter, tears, and finally family. 5 stars absolutely.

Exciting, intense, emotional, and heartwarming! These five stories were awesome reads and I highly recommend them. Each character, each book had it's own plot and storyline but they were all connected as well building on the story as you went. I love that kind of writing because you get to know and love the characters and want to see their happy ending as well! Excellent and I look forward to Glenna Sinclair's next series of books!

My only reason for the four-star rating is some editing issues I saw while reading, minor but often enough that I noticed.

Okay

I enjoyed the first four books except for the last book. It was as if it was written by a different author by not maintaining integrity of the story. Example: a character pickpockets a cell phone but in the next chapter it stated cell phone was given to character. Main character is the head of a security firm and then brings someone into compound with no thought about security. He was even upset that is operatives were wary of this person. Also the author should a dictionary for the difference between weary and wary.

Really?

Even though I'm giving the book two stars, it's primarily based on the disappointment in Kirkland's story. Why are so many of these writers are either too cowardly or artistically lazy to have a Black female as the love interest.
It could have also occurred in one of the other stories as well, but since it didn't, I hoped it would in Kirkland's story. I've only read two books, by major authors with an intimation that the love interest was a woman of color.
Come on and grow a pair!

4.5 Stars for the 5 book series

Thoroughly enjoyed all 5 books... the right mix of suspense, believability (I only raised a questioning eyebrow a handful of times), plus sexy love from alpha, not-over-the-top, security operatives. There was a nice range of strong characters with enough quirks to make them real. It was well worth buying the series together and I am headed to the next set in the series. Well done!

Loved this series!!

Each story was better than the previous one; if you can even say that!!

This is the first series about Gray Wolf Security which starts out in CA. There are 5 agents (operatives) and these are their stories. Donovan, David, Joss, Kirkland, and Ash, hang on for a wild ride.

I can't wait to read the second series which takes place in Texas.

A MUST read!! I couldn't put my Kindle down the whole time!

I loved meeting the "family" and how they came to be. I found myself going back a page or 2 to figure out who was talking but overall I really like these books. These definitely should not be read without doing it in the series since the 5 books brings about the completion of the plot.

Set of stories about the men of this security company, the women they save and woo.

Stories are pretty good, adventure, bad guys, romance, and family building. Always some hot scenes in each story. Each story connects with the others but stands alone as well. Author could use a good proofreader to go over the collection for misused words and other grammar errors.

Each story was intriguing in it's own way, but included all of the original characters. Action packed, but still contained love, a bit of lust, and definitely romance. Now for the next set! 🤗

This was a good read and I liked it even better because I could read the set all together. Alpha protectors and strong partners. All have gone through tragedy and are working through their pain. It takes each of the couples working together to heal and be able to move forward with love.

Emotional

The love story of the series was funny, sassy, sad with heas.

Each book tells the story of a couple , and each book intertwines to the next. Every couple in this series are relatable. It was so good that I immediately ordered the next book bundle. Glenna Sinclair won't disappoint you. Fantastic bundle.

Happy endings!

The stories are great, almost formulaic romance with criminal elements for extra tension. Could have used additional editing and proofing, but it didn't interfere with smooth reading.

Repetitive

All 5 stories were basically the same - too many grammatical errors which spoilt it - also there was a huge error in the storyline between book 2 and 4 where someone who was supposed to be dead reappeared!
