This is the best college English book I have ever come across. I own two copies of the 1954 edition (in my opinion the 1954 is the best edtion), and one copy of the 1960 edition as well as one of the 1977 edition. My original 1954 edition has lasted for over 30 years of vigorous reading and now sports a nice duct tape spine...The newer to me version I just bought recently. None of my copies are for sale, but I heartily recommend the book to any avid readers of fine Prose.
