An age appropriate overview of Manatees geared towards the middle grades. Since we stay in Florida a lot in the winter we've seen Manatees and the girls enjoyed learning more about them.

This informational book is about Manatees. This book is a broad overview of manatees. It covers everything from eating habits to how they groom themselves to mother-calf relationship. The book has sidebars giving fun facts about manatees. It also has both pictures and illustrations.

I enjoyed this book. There was a lot of good information about manatees in the book. The book featured beautiful photographs and illustrations and the captions were often humorous. This book also has side bars with interesting fun facts. This is a good book for elementary school students to learn about researching a topic.
