I have a confession to make: I STILL haven't watched the tv show. I know, it's bad. Ever since I once got a single issue of the Bob's Burgers comics I've been told (and also I've really been meaning) to watch the series as I've enjoyed the comics.

I've heard that if you love the series, you will also love the comics. I can add to that: even if you haven't seen the series, you can still have a lot of fun with the comics. It contains sort of constant parts (like Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction and Gene's Musicals) together with some more random parts.

Looking forward to the next one!

Just as the first volume was, Well Done is a really fun read. It more than kept me entertained for the duration, and I am enjoying the continuing storylines.

The writing is solid, especially for Louise's stories--Pester-geist was my favourite story in the volume. The art is easy on the eyes, but the art for Peter Pants was especially stand out. I also enjoyed the extra art and covers in the back, especially the issue #5 variant cover by Ashley Armstrong.

I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of Bob's Burgers. That said, I think it stands well on its own, and makes for a funny and charming read regardless.

What can I say about this collection? Well, it’s “Bob’s Burgers: Well Done,” and the very name “Bob’s Burgers” is synonymous with good comedy. If you’re a fan of the show, I encourage you to get this asap.

Another good volume of the series. The things I said in the review of the first volume still stand, but I just love the show and characters so much it's hard for me not to like the comics. I suppose if you were only a casual fan of the show you may not find the comics entertaining, but if you really like the show, you should enjoy the graphic novels.

I was really excited about reading this since I LOVE the TV show, it's just so original and fresh, a very lighthearted comedy.

In this collection of stories, we read about the Belcher children and their adventures, where we can find things like "Gene's Rhymey Rhymes That Could One Day Be Songs - with Captain Gene-O" (featuring Gene with a mustache) and "Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction Presents", including Tina's love stories. These last were my favorite! Tina is hilarious, especially in one where she plays Romeo in a Romeo and Juliet retelling, alongside her lover Jimmy Jr as Juliet. I love this girl.

We don't really get to see much of the parents here or anything to do with the restaurant, although we do see Linda as Tinkerbell. Tinker-Linda, to be more precise. And, even though I love the parents, I still enjoyed reading this a lot. The Belcher kids are just hilarious. I just love this whole family so very much.

There's also a lot of great art by different artists, which I really liked :)

My only complaint (which isn't really about the book itself) is that some pages were a bit hard to read, since the speech bubbles looked kind of blurry, this happened mostly with Tina's stories. But I was still able to understand what they said, maybe it was just the provided copy for review.

If you're a fan of the show, I think you might really enjoy this. And, if you don't really know much about Bob's Burgers, I think this might still be fun for you, it doesn't follow a story line, it's a collection of stories about the children of the family and their daydreams and adventures.

Now that we kind of have a continuity between volumes it feels more like a comic series than just a funny little one shot event. Gene's stories continue to be my favorites in the bunch, though I really must say that Tina remains charming with her erotic friend fiction. I wonder if they will ever do plot arcs with Bob and Linda and the family instead of the kids and their fantasies, as that could be a fun change of pace. Waiting for the next one now!

I love Bob's Burgers...just amazing characters. My favorite in this one is Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction with a gender bending twist on Romeo and Juliet! :)

Ugh, this one was not good. WAY too much fairy-tale reimagining. Not enough actual Bob's Burgers content. Skimmed most of it.

More enjoyable now that I know what to expect from this series. Although I still think Gene's rhyming stories are the weakest, the tales devoted to Tina and Louise are quite fun and full of clever references.

I love Bob’s Burgers, but the amount of stories that were “To Be Continued” just to be finished a few pages later was semi-annoying. I know this is a collection of issues, but it still felt bumpy.

Funny stuff! I love Tina’s Erotic Friend Fiction in this one because Louise and Gene help her write the story so you really get two stories in one.

Containing art, writing, and even illustrations from the writers, artists and creative fans of the hit FOX animated series "Bob's Burgers", this funny and well-done compendium of issues 5-8 of the popular comic book series will please any fan of the show (including me). Between artists renderings of various covers from the different comics, as well as of the family, the ongoing stories include "Gene's Rhymey Rhymes That Could One Day Be Songs" (the Peter Pan tribute is the best), "Louise's Unsolved Mysteries and Curious Curiosities" (even though this collection only contains part one of the wonderful "X-Files" riff, leaving readers hanging!), and - by far the best - "Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction" which features Tina finally going after Jimmy Jr. in a "Romeo & Juliet" motif, as well as a wonderfully silly Casablanca parody that opens the book (if you're a big Tina fan, these will probably be your favorite parts, as well). A quick, fun read to keep you going in between episodes, Bob's Burgers: Well Done is a very tasty collection featuring the Emmy-winning Belchers from one of the best (and funniest) animated series to ever hit the air. ****

Bob's Burgers: Well Done is the third collection in the series. It continues with parodies of well-known stories and characters including The X-Files, Captain Nemo, Peter Pan, Casa Blanca, Romeo and Juliet, and more. There is also a lot of extra art in between the issues and in the selection at the back, and the art is always fun to look at because it covers a variety of styles. They seem to have done away with Linda and Bob's segments in favor of the children's segments, although there is a "family photo" gag that is ongoing throughout the volume, but I really liked having a look at the whole family's antics. As usual with Bob's Burgers, there's a lot of puns, which has always been my favorite thing about Bob's Burgers. However, I did not enjoy these pieces as much as I enjoyed volumes 1 and 2. If you're a diehard Bob's Burgers fan, this might be for you - but if you're looking for something as good as an episode of Bob's Burgers I would skip this one.

Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

It’s really sad to say but the quality of these comics stopped significantly as they made each of them (though Pan Fried came out after this and I rated that a little higher - maybe just because I read it first. If I’d read this first maybe it would’ve been a smidge higher.)

What got me most was the constant “to be continued…” stories that then end up having very unsatisfying conclusions. I would’ve rather they keep up the really short one-shot stories that were actually fun.

The story about the bug trucks and the kids being aware of them had promise, but then it had such a random and nonsensical (not in a fun way) conclusion.

The Gene “songs” are becoming more and more tedious and the Peter Pan one literally fell flat with the pirates just suddenly not being interested in fighting? Aside from that comic, too, Bob and Linda were barely even present in any of these stories!

The first volume (just “Bob’s Burgers”) and Medium Rare were so good that they set me up for disappointment. (Also, is it just me or did they have the Rudy/Louise sandwich story Aka Tina writing their story as the X-Files Comic in Pan Fried, but it didn’t actually conclude anything…? It almost just felt like I was reading the same story twice.)

My Recommendation: They're still evolving and I'm enjoying them. Gene's fell off in this batch, but Tina's and Louise's held their own. I'll read the remaining issues in the next few months when I need some filler for the blog :)

My Response:Similar to the last two ( Volume 1 and  Medium Rare ), we get to spend more time with the Belcher children off-screen.

We've got more musicals from Gene, Erotic Friend Fiction from Tina, and mayhem and mystery from Louise. I really appreciated that with this collection we got a couple of longer stories and a continuation from the previous collection. The authors were always great at pulling in various details from the show and making these comics feel like they're part of the show.

This is a very fast read but is hilarious. I cried laughing many times. If you are a fan of the show, then definitely check this book out. It has comedy, surprises, and even cliffhangers thanks to the "Best Secret Agent" Louise. If you have never read any bob's burgers comics then this is a great one to start with. What is great is that they never keep a story going into the next comic. Every story ends in that one book. If you are not a fan of language then be careful. This book is not littered with swears but Miss Louise says a couple of things that we can't mention here.

I love Bob's Burgers so much! I've seen all the seasons multiple times, rewatch it every opportunity I get, and so when I found out there was a comic book... I about lost my mind! I HAD to have it. It is very well done (pun intended), with the art being very similar to the show, and the writing is phenomenal. I hope they animate some of the comics into actual episodes, although I hear the dialogue in the characters' voices. I'd like to see Bob and Linda get more "screen-time" with their own recurring sections like each of the kids, but it's great as it is.

Starting with this one there is a lot of more over-arcing plot and multipart stories. I like Linda's family portrait segment better than the old letter to the editor. I still wish that we got stories about Bob and Linda, and that there was more continuity with the show, but it's understandable. Seeing as I don't have much left until I'm done with the series, I'll definitely see it through to the end, I just wish that the execution for the comics had been better.

This is a solid collection and I love Louise and Tina's story types the best. Gene's musical ones are funny but I'd rather watch/listen to them in show format. Bob and Linda only got like 2 pages each though, which was disappointing. I liked Bob's burger names and Linda's letters! This time Bob just has some vehicle designs and Linda has failed family pictures. Not much personality there.

Ok, I am discovering that they kind of need to be read in order, but not really. This one had a lot of episodic stories, and I don't know if that was a stylistic choice, but it was still great to see the expanded worlds in the imaginations of the children.

I also appreciate how the characters work over different art styles, and also in paying homage to many different established tropes.

Loved the stories, loved the art. So great to see Bob's Burgers's dedication to quality and character in extensions of their show. All the stories felt true to character and worked well in a comic format.

I very much have enjoyed the segments carried over one volume to the next of “Louise’s Unsolved Mysteries and a curious Curiosities”. Would make an excellent long-term semi-cannon spin-off either on TV or within comics of their own.

I didn’t think that this volume of the Bob’s Burgers comic series was as good as the first two. The stories are still anywhere from really fun to pretty fun, but I don’t think they were as strong. Gene’s stories in this one felt especially bland and were my least favorites.

I loved the Louise and Tina stories, but not so much the Gene ones. I purchased this trade paperback at my local comics store and was not obligated to review it in any way.
