This little children's book written in Spanish came at just about the right time for my own attempts to learn the language. The Duolingo language course I'm using is now focusing on the future tense, and this book is written in the future tense. Great timing!
Aside from that, it's a nicely illustrated book focusing on the imagined adventures a child would have if he could fly. The title is literally "To Fly I Want", so would be more correctly translated as "I want to fly" rather than "I want to learn to fly." The text is actually the lyrics to a song that appears at the end of the book.
This was one I found I didn't have to look up a lot of words to understand. So for those also using Duolingo, you might find this a good book to test your skills at Spanish.
I want to Learn to Fly is a beautifully illustrated children's book written in rhyme with music at the end to sing it as a song with the children. It stimulates the children's imagination about all the places and things they would like to pretend to fly off and see. One of our favorite times is when we finish this book, sing it and then each child gets to tell where they would go when they pretend to fly away. Often the children carry the game to our treehouse that pretend flies to lots of fun places. Great children's books stimulate children to use their thinking skills and imagination and this is one of our favorites.
