Joshua Long, World Champion Cowboy, is known wide and far as the ‘cowgirl whisperer’. His looks are fallen-angel handsome and his talents in the bedroom are legendary. Josh prides himself on being able to give a woman sheet-clawing, back-arching, toe-curling multiple orgasms. But at the peak of his career, Josh loses it all when his knee is shattered by a one-ton bull and his reputation is shredded by a scorned woman. After investing blood, sweat, and years into the rodeo, he has lost his career and the lucrative sponsorships that went with it. Returning to his hometown of Kerrville, a place he hasn’t always felt welcome, Josh is uncertain of the direction his life will take. But sometimes fate is kind and the lifeline that we need to hang onto our hopes and dreams appears just within our grasp. Josh has such a moment when he walks into Isaac McCoy’s HARDBODIES bar. There, surrounded by old friends who offer him a second chance, Josh’s gaze lands on a beautiful, blue-eyed redhead who draws him like a moth to a flame. Emma Zachary has lived life on a dare. There is nothing she won’t try, she grabs onto happiness with both hands, embracing every moment of joy she can find. Unwilling to accept the hand that life has dealt her, Emma refuses to let her blindness hold her back. She intends to make all of her dreams come true, especially the ones that include a certain cowboy who seems to always be there when she needs him. Emma longs to know what it’s like to be loved, so she takes a dare and bids on a date with rodeo Romeo, Josh Long. What she discovers is that one night in Josh’s arms will never be enough. Josh is tired of his reputation. He wants to be more than his father’s son; he wants to be more than just a buckle-bunnies fantasy man. Joshua wants a woman who sees him for who he really is, failures and all, and loves him anyway. Emma is tired of being alone. She needs someone who will look beyond her faults and want her in spite of the challenge she faces. Their journey together is filled with laughter, tears, danger, and sex hot enough to set the Hill Country of Texas on fire. Join Emma and Josh as they learn the true meaning of love. I dare you. **Content This book contains adult language and situations. It is intended for 18+ ONLY**

The guy is just too much of a man whore for me to enjoy him as a hero. He is in the bar for 5 minutes and three new chicks and a couple of his ex's come up to him asking/begging for a his "cowgirl whispering touch." Then, he tells his friend from another book (that I hated) that he is thinking of joining his BDSM club. DONE, this book is not for me. It doesn't make sense for me here and why I would try to make sense of it. I don't know!? Also, when he finds out she is blind he dismissed her right away! He thinks: "God, no. He stared hard at her face, making sure. No, nothing. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Sweet Emma was blind. His stomach sank to his feet. Well, hell. What a shame." Thus this is not for me. I can just tell where this one is going and I am just going to get mad. BETTER FOR ME TO SKIP IT!
I really loved the premise and thought I would really enjoy it, but I barely got through it. Mediocre writing. It was the writing that did not work for me.
Love Me, I Dare You! is a great addition to the Hell Yeah series. Sable Hunter really did a fantastic job with this one, I didn't want to put it down, and at the same time I did not want it to end. Joshua Long is a championship bull rider also know as the "Cowgirl Whisperer", until one big bad bull ended his career. Josh is handsome, sexy, cocky, arrogant yet lovable, but has no idea how romance works, besides he doesn't do romance. Emma Zachery is a blind bartender, strong and independent who never lets her blindness stand in the way of anything that she wants to do. She loves life and wants to experience everything it has to offer, and will do almost anything on a dare. Her friends Isaac and Avery McCoy, hire her to work at their bar, Hardbodies, and this is where she meets Josh and turns his world upside down. No one suspects the trouble that is about to descend on their quiet little town of Kerrville, and the havoc that an old enemy will bring to their lives. This book offers it all suspense, romance, steamy sex, friends, family and love. It was so great to catch up with the McCoys, and even my favorite couple, Joseph and Cady had a part in this book. I fell in love with Fergus, and even old scary Nanette Beaureguarde made an appearance. Sable, I just want you to know, you made me laugh, cry, and swoon. Talk about swooning, Joshua Long can be very romantic when he sets his mind to it, and the the last part of the book I cried happy tears until the last page. Five star read all the way!!
4.5 stars. What a great story! SB's books always made me feel deeply for h, including this one.
h was so brave and so energetic that her blindenees didn't prevent her from challenging anything new, not to mention how optimistic she was. When it came to H, she also went for it.
I didn't like H much at first due to his "man-whore thoughts". He didn't have sex with random women in this book, but he did a lot in the past. As usual, he didn't want commitment, and he pused h away once, that's uncalled for. However, he made up for it after he realized want he wanted.
I almost swoon when he said to h, "Let me be your eyes, Emma. Let me show you the world. I don’t want you to miss a thing.”
What a bonus was we get to get a glimpse of the McCoys'. Really loved to read more about their life and their adorable little ones.
“Let me be your eyes, Emma. Let me show you the world. I don’t want you to miss a thing.”
Joshua Long is known near and far for his skills in the rodeo ring, as well as for his talents as a lover. His good looks and charm have never failed him until, as fate would have it, an injury sidelines him in both arenas. Joshua heads back to his hometown to lick his wounds, and try to move on with his life.
Emma Zachary is never one to pass on a dare, including bidding on the most eligible bachelor during a charity auction—Joshua Long. But there is a catch…Emma is blind, and Joshua’s good looks won’t help him. How will Joshua win the heart of the one woman who can see him as a man, and look beyond his womanizing past.
Joshua and Emma’s story is a beautiful romance. Read it, I dare you!
Sable Hunter has become my go to author for cowboy romances! I want to step into her Hell Yeah world of the McCoys! Highly recommend any of her stories!
Another fantastic story by Sable Hunter. This story in the Hell Yeah series is about Josh Long and Emma Zachary. Josh is a injured bull rider and Emma is a blind bartender. Some say love is blind. I think it's true even if you can't see. This is one story that gets your heart pumping and melting. Josh and Emma sizzle in this story. There is a side story with Avery and Isaac, the badass of Kerrville. Love how both stories move along and so happy with how each ended. Love how Avery and Emma kicked ass big time in this story. I also love to catch up with the McCoys to see how life is treating them. Thank you Sable for another visit into Hill Country.
Love Me, I Dare You is another great Sable Hunter read. She is a great story teller. This is a 5 star read, but I knocked a star off because I felt there were just a few too many editing errors in the book. It is my own pet peeve. As many books as she has written at this time and with the prices also slowly going up, I just have a higher expectation for quality of the whole book. I'm not sure if some of these errors come from the software for converting to an e-reader format or where the fault lies. This is a great continuation of the Hell Yeah story bringing in new characters, yet not forgetting to continue the story of previous characters.
Ohhhhh wow! It took a moment to write this after finishing the book from Sable Hunter, I had to wait for the tears to stop! No spoilers but this Hell Yeah edition is full of.....every emotion, twist, turn and surprise causing gasps of any of Sables books. Ok I LOVED this book, Sables alpha heros are just that, but always with a heart of gold, and definitely fall for - hard! the heroines not usually perfect, but real all the same are friends you'd happily make. Read this book, the appearance of the rest of the McCoys with updates is brilliant and as always it leaves you wanting the next book, and the next.....
Fall in love with Josh and Emma . . . I Dare You!!
Another beautiful love story from one of my favorite writers, Sable Hunter, that for me, is a reminder that the only thing that holds us back in love and life is our mind and our heart.
Josh and Emma both have hurdles in their lives that they most overcome in order to be happy with themselves, but also in order to find happiness in love, and in spite of those hurdles they manage to do that and find their HEA with each other, and with a little help from their friends, Isaac and Avery.
Another out of the park Hell Yeah book. The hits keep coming. The latest book deals with Emma and Joshua. He's a PBR three time champion bull rider and she's blind but will do moist anything on a date. What a pair and what a journey to love. It a starts with a little sex. Enjoy!
This is another hit for Sable Hunter. This is a fantastic story, it is well written. I encourage everyone to get this book it is worth your time and effort. Sable Hunter is one of my go to authors, when you get a book of hers you know, you will have a good one. The characters appear real, they do not come off as being storybook perfect. I loved this book!!!!!
So this is what Elvin Bishop is on about in his hit "Fooled Around and Fell in Love"!
You can't help but hear this song as background music in your mind throughout this story. Josh and Emma are oil and vinegar but we all know what a delicious salad dressing the two make. The flavor is unique and combustible.
Emma just wants to be loved and Josh, man-whore that he is, is happy to oblige Emma...just as long as she knows the rules...no strings, just for fun, yada, yada, yada...Then you have Avery and Isaac pushing them together and even into Isaac's playroom at Hardbodies. Two things wrong with Josh taking Emma to the playroom: 1) It's their first date! Nevermind she purchased him at auction and asked him to have sex with her for their date-tacky, no other word will do. 2) Wrapping my head around a nice dinner in a BDSM room where others have been spanked, whipped, tied up and, okay, I digress-you get the picture--even if Emma is blind, your mind can paint pictures you can't unsee!
The true love at first sight in this story--Fergus! What a sweetie and scene stealer. Isaac sums it up best: "He sits by the door and stares at you like you're the only thing in the world." Fergus melts my heart with his compassion and loyalty for his owner.
Of course, Emma and Josh do the deed, discord drops into the relationship and trouble lurk for Avery when Ajax rears his head again. You know an HEA awaits so no need to fret. Getting to the HEA is a bit predictable and no real surprises.
If you haven't heard it in awhile, listen to Bishop's rendition and picture Josh and Emma, but for now, I'll leave you with his classic lyrics...
I must have been through about a million girls I'd love 'em then I'd leave 'em alone I didn't care how much they cried, no sir Their tears left me cold as a stone
But then I fooled around and fell in love I fooled around and fell in love, yes I did I fooled around and fell in love I fooled around and fell in love
It used to be when I'd see a girl that I liked I'd get out my book and write down her name Ah, but when the-the grass got a little greener on the other side I'd just tear out that page
I fooled around and fell in love I fooled around and fell in love since I met you, baby I fooled around and fell in love I fooled around and fell in love
Free, on my own, is the way I used to be Ah, but since I met you, baby, love's got a hold on me It's got a hold on me now I can't let go of you baby
I fooled around and fell in love I fooled around and fell in love, oh yes I did I fooled around, fooled around, fooled around, fooled around, Fooled around, fooled around, fell in love Fooled around, fooled around, fooled around, fooled around, Fooled around, fooled around, fell in love I fooled around, fell in love I fell in love, I fell in love, yes I did
This is the only book I've read in this series. I can say that I really liked it. The characters felt real to me.
Josh- He is injured during a bull riding comp and his career is done. He comes back home with basically nothing. He meets Emma while she's bartending. I liked that Josh want perfect and he messed up, which he rectified. Emma- she's blind, which is refreshing to have a H that has a disability. She doesn't let it stop her. I esp liked that even though She appears one way, we get to see her internal dialogue and feelings. She has an attraction from the first meeting with Josh, it helps that he's such a gentleman. I know my review is short and vague, but I just really liked that this book was different from all the others. I read 4-5 a week and this was a fresh breath of air.
Emma Zachary was a very special young lady that wouldn't let life's difficulties hold her back. She was living a very independent life working as a barmaid at Hardbodies, owned by Isaac and her friend Avery McCoy. The fact that she was blind had never stopped Emma from trying anything and she did her job well.
Josh Long was a bull rider that was back in his home town after being beaten by his last ride. The attraction Josh had for Emma shocked him, but could he ever get over the fact of her blindness?
Josh agreed to take part in a charity auction organised by the McCoys and even though Josh asks Emma to save him, he is surprised that Emma wins him with her bid. How will they go on the simple date he planned for his bidder? Could anything really happen when she was unable to lead a normal life?
Quite a sweet sexy story, with some adventure and drama involving cowboys and bikers.
Emma has been blind for 12 years. She’s independent, beautiful, and smart. She is a bartender and lives in a little trailer behind the bar. Josh was a bull rider until his knee is crushed by a bull. They call him the cowgirl whisperer because he can get any girl he wants. After his injury he returns home, starts some physical therapy with his friends wife, and starts working on the ranch. A benefit auction is held at the bar and eligible bachelors are being auctioned off. Emma buys him and she has a request, to have sex with him. The more time Josh spends with Emma, the more he falls for her. But will his past mess up his future? A sexy, hot story. I laughed and cried. Awesome story
Love Me, I Dare You! is a fantastic romance by Sable Hunter. Ms. Hunter has delivered a book that is not only well-written but stuffed with a stellar cast of characters. Emma is a blind bartender with a plucky, fun attitude. Joshua returns home to Kerrville after his knee is damaged on the rodeo circuit. Joshua and Emma's story is packed with drama, humor, steamy sex, action and suspense. I love this story, it's probably one of my favorites from Ms. Hunter. Love Me, I Dare You! is book 21 of the Hell Yeah! Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Nice story of the rodeo champ who is used to having the world at his feet and has it all taken away. Between the catastrophic run-in with a bull and the venomous female who spreads lies about him on social media, Josh is home and broke. He goes to work for Tebow Ranch and becomes involved with a bachelor auction for a local charity. The winner is Emma, bartender at Hardbodies who is also blind. When Josh sees how she navigates her world, he suddenly sees that his world view was lacking. However, Emma is playing for keeps and Josh realizes that he wants to play along. An old enemy has another thought though, and the men in their lives have to save two of Hardbodies' own.
One of my first thoughts were But oh did I find out and when I did I was surprised because as the story went along I almost forgot the disability.
Ms.Hunter had the ability to write Emma's perspective without making it feel as though it was lacking anything. And it what made the book so well balanced was how descriptive Josh's speech was.
Overall I thought it was a nice short read to take your mind off life for a little bit.
Emma is blind, and a daredevil. Tending bar, she meets injured cowboy Joshua, and they get off to a mutually attracted, mutually awkward, start. While neither was my favorite character of the series, their relationship was more complicated than simple attraction-to-action. Emma, specifically, is very layered, and while a Joshua gets less internal dialogue revealed, he still exhibits vulnerabilities and is more fleshed out than many other male characters in the genre. I did feel like The Lifestyle, got short shrift.
Josh has a way with the ladies. One night and move on. One woman took care of him not wanting more by bashing him on social media sites. After an injury takes him out, he goes home. Emma became blind at an early age. She has never let it get her down. She meets Josh at the bar she works at. At the bachelor auction , she wins the bid for him. She wants him to help her with something. They make a deal. Soon Josh finds himself only thinking of Emma. Can he settle down with one woman? Find out what happens on dares.
This is a story about two people who meet and find eventual romance. Emma has been blind since childhood but over the years has honed her other senses to be completely independent. Josh was a rodeo star until the bill in his last ride trampled him and trashed his knee. He struggles with guilt from his younger days and is unsure about his future. Together they both learn their own value and all about love.
This is one of my "go-to" books when I need a good romance.
Emma is blind from a genetic defect, but she hasn't let that stop her. She is a bartender at her friends bar. Josh is a professional rodeo cowboy. An injury, and a woman with a vendetta, has forced him from the rodeo scene. He heads home to recuperate.
The draw between Josh & Emma makes your heart melt. He starts to see the world through her eyes and she learns to fall in love and trust someone.
Another spectacular story! Joshua and Emma's story is great. Emma does not let her blindness hinder her accomplishing her hearts desire. Josh while having his world turned upside down and his career ended finds out there is more important things life then fame. This story is beautifully told!
I can't believe I forgot how good Sable Hunter's stories were. Joshua is a wounded rodeo hero... Emma is a blind bar tender who let's nothing stop her. I loved being back with all the McCoy's and HARDBODIES. Hot sex and cowboys...a lot of feels...some danger...and HEA...what more could you want?
Sable Hunter has again written a story that captures your interest and never lets up. This story has her unique touch in telling a love story in which the h has overcome her blindness and found the love of her life.
I've never read a book with a blind main character. The "view" of love and life from a blind perspective was captivating. A man's perspective on dating and falling in love with someone who is blind was equally captivating. All in all, this was a great read!
OMG... I just knew they'd be expecting at the end. I must read more of these two. Especially since she's afraid of not being a good mother because of her blindness. I LOVE when I don't figure out the ending.😀
Ok Ms. Hunter you had me all over the place! Laughing, crying, holding my breath, and swooning couldn't asked for a better read. These I'm going to lookup more of your luscious books.
