Great overview on how to evaluate a coursebook, adapt teaching and learning to the strengths of both teacher and learner, and what to pay attention in setting up a teaching course. The examples taken form coursebooks are evaluated with a commentary on both their strenghts and possible modification. So, a good book for ELT students and teachers.

choosing your coursebook is a good book for teachers and course designers because it contains a lot of information about the steps of textbook selection, analysis, and evaluation. this process involves the use of some checklists which consist of different criteria of evaluation, the criteria are about the content selection, the course abjectives, and the teaching the four language skills.
Cunningsworth has introduced a lot of criteria and different checklist either to be used as they are , or to be adapted according the learning/teaching situation,in order to analyze the textbooks in use, or to select them fro future use, and also to evaluate their suitability in a particular context
