Stella Waterhouse is an author and speaker, who specializes in autism and sensory differences.

Alongside written resources that offer practical advice, insight and solutions to help support those with autism and enhance family life she is also active in many FB groups related to autism and special needs.

Having been a carer herself, is passionate about helping families with sensory needs by setting up Koloko Direct a sensory friendly holiday site.

She is currently writing The Ciphers - the 2nd book in her series, Autism Decoded which updates and supersedes A Positive Approach to Autism (published in 2000).

This book really makes one think. Preconceptions disappear and the full complexity of the subject is clear. It’s put in a way that anyone can understand it and I believe is essential reading for anyone who is in any way involve with autism or its associated conditions. Stella Waterhouse has written a number of books on related subjects and I recommend those, too. Her experience and passion for the subject add new light on a much-misunderstood subject.
