Haven: Renegade Saints MC

Rate this book
In my world, there’s no such thing as a safe haven.
I wasn’t always like this. I used to be a good guy – well, a better guy, at least. But things change. After my fiancée died, I put the nice parts of me away. I traded in the good knight’s shining armor for a leather jacket, black as sin. And I swore to myself I’d never try to save a girl again.
Years later, I haven’t looked back. I just accepted the presidency of the Renegade Saints MC. It ain’t exactly an easy gig, and some might say my life expectancy just got a fair bit shorter. But I like this living thing. I intend to stick around. That means I need to keep my head in the game. At first, I do just that. But then comes Victoria, daughter of the former president, with bruises on her wrists and an abusive boyfriend hot on her trail. Nothing gets my blood boiling like a man who lays his hands on a woman. Those old, dormant instincts flare up, and before I know it, I’m saying things I never expected to say again.

Things "I’ll take care of you." and "You’re safe here."

And, craziest of all… "Marry me."

I brought her into my world to protect her. But as things get bloodier, it looks like I might've done just the opposite.

I might have damned us both.

This was horrible. This is not a mc book; I mean it's in the background but the club believe the President killed the precious Prez...huh. One minute the H is loved with the wonderful woman but in the flash to past moments you wonder how much this guy is a loser.

The h is on the run from her abusive long-term boyfriend whom she keeps reminding everyone will kill her. But she hates being watched by the club or having to have an escort so what does do sneaks outside. WTF?

There is twist for the ending and the miracle of I love you so much!!!!

Everything you want in a good MC book...love, drama, suspense, shootings and of course sex! Well written, with a great cast of characters. Would definitely recommend. ARC provided for a honest review.

What a fascinating and interesting book this is and I thoroughly and absolutely enjoyed reading this book. The story covers Victoria (aka Tori) who's deceased father was the leader of the MC "Renegade Riders" she has a problem with a abusive controlling ex-boyfriend and goes to Max Adams, current leader of the MC gang and he is prepared to help her by marrying her, what Tori does not know is that Max is still in love with his deceased fiance and this is where the story really becomes so interesting. What you will find in this story is, drama, suspense, intrigue, a ex-boyfriend, abuse, being scared, break-up, stalker , threats, appeal for help, a man prepared to marry a woman in order to protect her, amazement, memories of a deceased fiance, emotional feelings, getting married, sleeping pills, nightmares, friends disagreement, escaping, arguments, escape again after phone-call, tied-up in a hotel room, bomb threat, sniper shooting, rescue, want to leave, declaration of love and intense erotic scenes. I found the story-line and plot to be well thought out and written and the characters individual personalities reacted well, to the situations they found themselves in. I would recommend the book to people that like to read a well written MC romance with a HEA.

Victoria (Tori) is being harassed and stalked by her abusive ex-boyfriend, Silas. Victoria is the daughter of an ex-President for the Renegade Saints MC, Kristoff. Kristoff was murdered so she doesn't have any choice but to go to the new President, Max. The more of how he hears Silas treats her the angrier he gets, Max made a vow to Kristoff to always protect his daughter. In order to get the protection of the MC, Max offers to marry her. What she doesn't know is that Max is still in love with his ex-fiance who supposedly died in a car accident, 10 years earlier.

It took me almost half of the book to really get into the story, Tori goes from a physically abusive relationship to a verbal one. Max treats her like crap, until something bad happens and he realizes he's in love with her. Tori in my opinion was very whiny. I liked the fact that he was always there for her, protecting her. Once Max gets closure from his past he's committed to his marriage with Tori and they get their HEA. After everything they've been through separately and together they deserve to be happy. I thoroughly enjoyed the ending it was full of drama, bomb threats, guns, and revenge not achieved... there was a lot going on.

I received an ARC in exchange for a truthful, honest review.

This was the first book that I have read by Ellen Harper, and I do not think it will be the last.

Overall, Harper did a great job creating the two characters for me. Victoria and Max were very strong characters that I understood them right from the beginning. Victoria is in trouble (no spoilers) and goes to her friend Max for help. This book has a bunch of twists and turns, some that I saw, and others that I did not. Some slow spots, but it led to a great couple page turners after that! Overall a really good book, and was happy to read it!

Cannot wait to see if Danny is coming next in the Renegade Saints series.

Two books in one.

Book 1: Haven: Tori and Max's story was ok. There was a lot of grammar, punctuation, and spelling mistakes. Tori was a weak character and let Max treat her badly on occasion. Max was a very dominant character and was always trying to keep her safe, but on times was very rude about the things he said about her.
Second book Unholy: this is the story of Johnny and Charlotte. I couldn't finish it because it was like each character was just telling a story. I only read fifteen percent. There wasn't as much conversations as story telling. Sorry this book wasn't for me.

When I first started reading the story i loved it... new angle on a mc book.

Found Victoria was too clingy-- the ongoing dialogue in her head was a bit irritating ... same as max.. not enough actual talking between them and also other people....because of this the story jumped very quickly. a firm relationship wasnt ever really established...i havent decided if id read further

as far as the "mc" part--- aside from max being in an mc there wasnt really anything that would make this a true mc book - this book mostly surrounds itself around domestic violence and crazy ex's than anything else.

If zero stars were an option, I would have chosen it. The plot was ridiculous, and not romance book ridiculous but *literally* roll-your-eyes-sigh-how-much-did-I-pay-for-this-roll-your-eyes-again-bc-once-isn't-even-close-to-enough.
Honestly, I skimmed 3/4 of the book and even that was painful. Sorry, not my cuppa. Literally awful.

The worst book I've ever read and I've read thousands. Literally.

How do I get my time back?

Disapointing

The first book the. Characters especially the guy was whiny and constantly thinking of his "lost love" or bitching about his wife the main female character. He only spends time with the main female at night for sex and decides a couple pages from the epilogue that he loves her. And her so called best friend wasva joke

Second book is better which is why it recived 3 stars instead of one

Great book. Victoria and Max were meant for each other. Silas was a psycho but there is a bigger psycho in the story I won't give it away so you have to read it to find out. It's worth the read, I loved the twist!!! Max was so hot!

Worth reading

This was good read. Love can blossom in even the weirdest of situations. Temperamental, protective, loyally devoted Bad Ass MC Prez. Yep Max rocks!
