L'éducation élémentaire: Pédagogie scientifique, tome II (Schum/Education)

Rate this book

If you want to know how to do Montessori in the 6-12 years range you need this book. It is hard to find but is worth whatever you have to pay for it.

I expected this book to be like the first book (The Montessori Method) but relating to elementary curriculum but found that it wasn't detailed in that way.

I took my time working through this. So many helpful insights and reminders regarding the philosophy and the design of the materials. I found this text to be inspiring. It helped me reground in my commitment to this pedagogy. It also was a great reference when preparing for a Montessori Math education night for families. I will say, however, that even as a lover of music, I did find the music section the hardest to get through.
