I have now been married for a  few years so was able to see how true the points made in the book really are. It was one of those books I wish someone had given me to help me better prepare for my first few years as a newlywed. But instead I had to learn everything on my own and we are still learning and will continue to learn for the rest of our lives, as that is how marriage works. Feinberg has done an excellent job in preparing this book. She has provided information that every engaged couple should read and discuss together before marriage. This would make an excellent premarital counseling discussion tool, going through chapter by chapter each session, reading the chapters alone for personal information and then discussing together. I thought that the author’s best chapters were on sex (so many Christians fear talking about it) and in-laws. Both were very well written chapters that point out many truths people do not know ahead of time. Feinberg has written a very realistic, personal book that is easy to read and highly enjoyable, as well as very informative. I highly recommend this book to any counselor and definitely to engaged or newlywed couples.

This lady gives a lot of good information and advice to couples who have just married. My husband and I have been married almost 15 years but I still enjoyed the book and learned from it. I am giving this book to someone who I love that is getting married in March so hopefully she will be able to glean advice from it too. I thought it was a great book and the author also writes bible studies as well.

I am learning how to be married and be part of a couple. It is very insightful. But I wish there was more information on how to do some of the stuff that it suggests with the addition of a child already in the newlywed's life. My husband and I have a 2 1/2 year old and we have only been married for 3 months. Overall, I do love this book.
