The highly anticipated final book in the bestselling Bad Boys of X-Ops series is here!

High stakes.
Low margins.
And everyone wants the woman I’m teamed up with dead.

BANE
Swagger, strut, snarl. Three things I can do with both eyes closed. Oh, and shoot the shit out of tangos. I always do my job, whether it’s patching up a fellow operative or taking down a serious threat. Apparently this time my job is to babysit Baby Spy.

We’ve followed the Los Reyes de Guerra cartel to the drug-trafficking capital, Mexico City. Our orders? Get in with the guerrillas and ultimately take them down. There’s only one problem—I have another set of mission directives linked to Kiki AKA Baby Spy.

Should be easy enough. Except it seems I’ve developed an unhealthy attraction to Kiki, along with an inconvenient conscience. She’s a wild woman with an unforgiving attitude that definitely makes me bone hard for her.

Nothing is as it appears, least of all Kiki Damage.

KIKI
Yeah. They call me Baby Spy. I’m fully aware the entire T-Zone team blames me for narking out a previous mission gone wrong. So, I can’t understand why the powers that be assigned me to this op. Or maybe I can, which just makes my situation even more dire.

I know Bane wants me, but I’m beginning to think he has an ulterior motive for keeping me close. And it’s not just the panty-melting hot sex with the big, gruff, silent killer. There’s something incredibly vulnerable in the way Bane watches me, like he’s looking for one last saving grace.

None of that matters now. When the situation heats up, I find out Bane’s real mission. I may have fallen in love with him, but it’s already too late. This entire web of lies goes a lot higher than any of us ever imagined, and my neck is only the first one on the line.

Bane includes a special series epilogue from the badass women: Jade, Tilly, Blaize, and Kiki.

I'm dying here, mourning the last of the sinfully sexy Bad Boys of X-Ops series! Thank you, Ms. Warren, for the awesome storyline wrap up!

Griffin Bane despises the woman he's dubbed Baby Spy, Kiki Damage. Except for the fact he wants her, bad. Paired together on an op in Mexico, Bane has no idea what he's going to do about the Kiki kill order he received from the T-Zone higher ups. He doesn't believe she's the one who betrayed the team, and the more he learns about her, the more he's certain that she's something altogether more special to him. What's a black ops dude with a killer instinct to do when the woman he wants needs to be dead, STAT?

Holy hummana hummana hotness, Ms. Warren is an erotic genius and I bow at the shrine of her filthy sexcapades! Been waiting on Bane and Kiki's story, and man was worth it! I loved these two together--the banter, the chemistry, the headboard bangin' bedroom boom-boom…everything combines to bring you a deliciously dirty read. Bane, with his "come here, girl" utterings had me drooling on my kindle, while Kiki's kick-assery was a lesson in fist bumping feminism. Together they made quite the team, from the Mexican barrios to the bedroom.

I can't stop reading Ms. Warren's dirty, smutty, raunchy and raw books in her overall Bad Boys series; they have such a fun and unique tone that I simply can't get enough of. This is the last of the Bad Boys of X-Ops spinoff series, but I can only pray to the goddess of G-spots that she'll be giving us more in the Carolina Bad Boys series soon!

Bottom Line: Just suck it up and start at the beginning with Carolina Bad Boys, Bad Boys of Retribution MC and Bad Boys of X-Ops. You can thank me later. - See more at: http://erotic.theromancereviews.com/v...

As much as I loved this book, finishing it left me devastated because it is the last in this sexy, suspenseful series. Rie Warren knows how to write a story that keeps you reading late into the night.

This story in the Bad Boys of X-Ops takes the uber-secretive T-Zone operatives to Mexico to take down a drugs/guns cartel. The op requires Griffin Bane to team up with Kiki Damage, not-so-affectionately dubbed Baby Spy by the rest of the guys. Everyone believes she compromised an earlier mission, but Bane isn't so sure. Bane's been given a special task by the higher-ups at T-Zone - deliver Kiki's dead body.

He suspects something is off with his orders, and he can't bring himself to terminate the one woman who ticks all his boxes. The tables turn, and he'll do anything he can to keep Kiki safe. And if the new plan still results in the take-down of the cartel, that's just icing on the cake.

As I've come to expect, Warren delivers a tale of love and duty, populated by badass soldiers and the women strong enough to love them. I have loved this series and looked forward to each installment. So sorry to see it finish, but I loved the way Warren brought closure for the team. Bravo, Rie. Can't wait to read more from you.

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Bane is the continuation of the Bad Boys of X-Ops. An off the grid team working together for T-Zone with Blaize leading the way.

Walker, Justice and Storm have had a hate on for Kiki since Walkers op was compromised. They all think that Kiki was the one that give up the intel on Walker to almost get him killed. Bane has always thought there was something about Kiki that he wanted to explore...in a bed...naked. When Bane and Kiki are teamed up on a mission he learns more about Kiki that he can't ignore. With all of T-Zone after her will Bane fulfill the orders given to him or will he protect her against the odds?

I loved Bane's story. It was fast-paced, suspenseful and had moments that had me laughing out loud. I think this book was the best way to end the series. I'm sad to see it end but so glad I read it.

Bane is the first book that I have read by Rie Warren. It will not be the last one though! I can't wait to read the beginning of this series.
Bane is an alpha male that does his job no matter what it is. He could be fighting, patching up someone, or babysitting someone. To him, a job is a job.
Kiki is blamed for a mission that goes wrong. Now, she's got a new nickname to go with that and everyone wants her eliminated.
Can they survive the web of lies and deceit?
Rie Warren has put everything in Bane. There's love, betrayal, lies, deceit, alpha males, and strong women. I cannot recommend this book enough!

This book was the end of a brilliant series. Bane the gruff take no prisoners guy is brought to his knees by baby spy. Kit is tough and has a black mark on her with the group. Suspicion is rife but Bane sees something in her. A truly great read

Bane was a great 4 star read.

This was my first read of this series. I didn’t feel like I was lost but I may have understood the characters more if I had read the first three in the series before Bane.

We meet Bane and Kiki who are part of T-Zone. They have been paired together for a new assignment with Walker, Jade,Tilly, Justice, Storm and Blaze. Unbeknownst to the group, Bane has been given an additional secret assignment.

Both Bane and Kiki have their strengths and I loved the way she would take over some of their conversations with the cartel, etc.
Bane is extremely attracted to Kiki and when they finally connect it is really hot. The sex scenes between these two were off the charts. Will it stay strictly sex or will they fall for each other? What will happen when the truth comes out about the secret mission?

I really enjoyed Bane. There was so much going on, it kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t wait to see what was next. I definitely plan to catch up on this series because from what I saw from Walker, Jade,Tilly, Justice, Storm and Blaze I want to know more. I loved them all. I really enjoyed the epilogue, we get to see into all of their lives. I wouldn’t mind seeing more from this team someday. 1-click and get started today. Thank you Rie Warren for a great read.

Review:
This is the fourth and last book of this series. Once again Author, Rie Warren takes us on a wild ride. This time it is in a drug infested region of Mexico. In this book Bane, the hot, sexy, heterochromia has special orders from T-Zone. Take Kiki Damage out. The plot of this story has Bane struggling with his conscience and his orders from his superiors. Things just don’t add up. As the team work to take down a drug cartel and infiltrate an illegal arms dealer, feelings between Bane and Kiki heat up. The chemistry between our two main characters is deadly. This is a fast paced, full of action book/series. The ending was explosive thanks to Walker. I loved how all the previous books tied in with the ending of Bane.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

This series kept getting better until Storm’s book which I absolutely loved. As the book after Storm’s, I was expecting great things from Bane’s book. Unfortunately, for me, this felt like a tag-on, a desperate collection of loosely connected activities as the series limps to its end.

The romance in this story is again between equals. Kiki (Baby Spy) come into her own in the story and there is something of both Lisbeth Salander and Jessica Jones about her which I loved. She is matched with Bane who has been a slight enigma through the series. The two street rats are well matched but the romance felt far too easy for two jaded, defensive former street kids.

The action in this story felt chaotic. There is a nod to the TV show Alias part way through and I couldn’t help but feel that too many ideas were borrowed from later seasons of the show. Too much happens in this last book with too little development. At times there is a whiff of unedited student writing: and then, and then, and then…

My last grumble is entirely personal preference. I like action stories. I like reading about badass men and women with unique skills who go on exciting missions to save the world. I enjoy a little bit of sex and romance with my action. If I wanted tender stories of marriages, babies and white picket fences, I’d read Nora Roberts, not a Special Ops action series. So I was more than a little disappointed when the main story in this book finished at 85% on my Kindle and a collection of sappy epilogues were tagged on to complete the series.

By the end of the epilogues, most of the heroines of this series are retired from action and tucked behind white picket fences while their men go off to save the world. Urgh. But again, personal preference.

Of the four books, I enjoyed Justice and Storm’s books the most. All four books probably need to be read as a series, not as stand alone novels. While I had a few frustrations with the series, I enjoyed it overall (though I think I’d skip the epilogues if I could choose again).

Josie's Review

I can’t believe this is the final installment in the Bad Boys of X-Ops and I’ll be honest, I’m not ready to let these guys go. Rie Warren has an incredible talent for writing suspenseful, romantic and steamy novels that keeps me glued to my Kindle. I have waited for Bane and Baby Spy’s story since we were first introduced to this amazing Uber alpha team. When we catch up to this awesome team are in Mexico and their target is the very lethal Mexican Cartel. As I’ve come to know in this series a mission for the team never goes as smooth as it should and Bane, Baby Spy and the rest of the X-Ops members are facing their greatest challenge, one that is just as deadly and skilled as they are.

Bane he is everything I thought he would be. He is good at his job and doesn’t have a conscious when it comes to a killer order. That is until Kiki (Baby Spy) is thrown into the team. He is immediately drawn to this dark, spunky and beautiful woman. I love these two together. They both have the same personality and are comfortable with their sexuality. They are sexually attracted to each other and their communication and connection is just as strong. You can feel it on every page. Don’t even get me started on their banter (So Funny). They each give as good as they get and when they fight there is no winner. I love that they know exactly what to expect from the other.

Bane and the team are faced with a betrayal so big they now how a new mission. Stay alive and take down the traitor. Bane finds something in Baby Spy he never knew he wanted and he will do anything to keep her safe and with him. I loved that Bane’s commitment and belief never wavered when it came to Baby Spy. And even though this is the end of this series, Rie Warren ended this series the way she started it, with a bang. If you followed this series and even if you didn’t you are going to want to read this exciting, emotional and steamy end to the Bad Boys of X-Ops series.

For me, such a bitter sweet review to write. Knowing that this is the last book in the Bad Boys of X-Ops Series makes me a little sad. I have loved each and every book in this series. I have been waiting for Bane's book, and to see the connection with Kiki a.k.a Baby Spy was amazing.

Bane is one of the toughest of the tough. He has the reputation for being a killer without remorse. When the entire team is sent on a mission to take down the drug cartel, Bane is teamed up with Baby Spy, Kike Damage. The entire team blames Kiki for being the leak that put all previous missions in danger. What nobody on the team knows is that Bane is given additional orders, take Kiki out. But there is one very big problem with his orders, he wants Kiki, in his bed, and nothing is going to stop him from having her right where she belongs.

Kiki Damage is an ex-FBI agent that has been recruited to work for the X-OPS team. She is smart, she is skilled and she has a thing for the dark and dangerous Bane. When the entire mission that they are on goes upside down, can Kiki convince Bane and the X-OPS team that she is not the traitor that they think that she is. Can she convince them that the cover-up goes way up that chain of command to the highest level before they decide to take her out.

What I loved about Bane and Kiki is that they get each other. Both of them had such similar experiences growing up. They are really quite perfect for each other. I don't want to give too much away, but all I have to say is that the protective instincts that Bane has for Kiki is like watching a tornado in action. Another amazing book in this kick ass series. I am sorry to see it end, but look forward to more stories to come. I give this amazing book 5 sexy stars.

Bane
Rie Warren
3. 5 stars

Bane is the final installment of the Black Ops series. I haven’t loved this series but I didn’t hate it. I think I just loved her other books more. It can be read as a standalone but you will miss out on the other characters events of where they are now and why.

Bane has been assigned with Kiki to complete a mission. Kiki has no idea what she is in store for as she believes this is an in and out easy objective – not the case. Bane knows exactly what is going to go down and that the mission is far from streamline. The special orders were only given to him leaving him wondering how this is going to play out and who can he trust.

Griffin Bane is a stone cold killer and his morals you could say are lacking. Hes always been there for the guys and certainly supports the loves they found but him .. nope. Kiki Dillion is throwing a wrench in his don’t give a shit attitude. There are some serious plot twist in this one and the characters question themselves rightly so.

I did like Bane but again this entire series these characters just didn’t do it for me in the scenarios they were cast in. Maybe as a reader I want to get away from the terrorist type of read and other things that go along with it. I don’t want to have to think that much maybe? I don’t know. If you love this series you will certainly love this book.

Click it on up --- I look forward to whatever Rie puts out next because again I do love her as an author. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Thank you for the ARC!

I devour each and every book from Rie Warren and Bane was no exception. After all who doesn't love a super hot Special Ops guy? Bane is tasked to take down the cartel with Kiki aka Baby Spy. However everyone thinks she screwed up an earlier mission and so Bane is told to return with her dead body. That order doesn't sit well with Bane since he isn't so sure she messed up. Not to mention the way she makes him feel.
In true Rie Warren fashion there is plenty of intrigue, chemistry and super hot sex! Bane is the perfect alpha male while Kiki can kick butt all on her own. The journey they take to not only bring down the cartel but find love with one another just proves how well Warren weaves the web that his her stories. The reader is sucked into that web and not let go until the very end. I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for the truth the come out and find out what happens. When I got to the last page I wanted to cry because now this series is complete.

I was nervous for this book as it’s the last in this awesome series and the fact I’ve lov3d Bane for a long time. But Rie didn’t disappoint me at all and I soon realised I had nothing to be nervous about.

I don’t know where to start with this so forgive me...... these characters are EVERYTHING especially Bane. Bane oh Bane!!!!! He is sooo HOT!!!! He a broody man, who just wants to keep his head down and get on with his work. He doesn’t try to get attached to anyone due to secrets he has from his team but then he is tasked with a mission involving baby spy (Kiki). He just can’t seem to help being drawn to her and his feelings begin to spiral out of control.

This book was an amazing read and Rie ended this series brilliantly..... That epilogue was truly wonderful and I can’t wait to read more from her.

This is the ending to the X-Ops Series but can be read as a stand alone However, as with all the series written by Ms.Warren, the stories are so much deeper when read in conjunction with one another. Bane and Kiki, their chemistry is off the charts. And as to be expected, the sex scenes are hotter than hot and not intended for work by any means. It seems like all the forces that can work against Bane and Kiki are in play here and I love the way the story is unraveled.

This book is full of all the action that you would expect from the X-Ops series. As Bane is charged with a secret mission that undermines everything else. I loved Bane the most out of all the X-Ops men. I am happy with the way Storm and Bane's back story came out. I also enjoyed how this series was ended. What I enjoyed the most is Kiki is an amazing character. She is strong and can hold her own. Ms. Warren always delivers unapologetic heroines that always make me envy their attitude and love life.

I can't wait to see what Rie Warren does next.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, twists & turns, passion, sexual tension, explosive action, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Walker (Bad Boys of X-Ops #1)
Justice (Bad Boys of X-Ops #2)
Storm (Bad Boys of X-Ops #3)

This is Kiki and Bane’s story. Bane’s job at the moment is to babysit “baby spy” aka Kiki. Really two missions take down a cartel and watch Kiki. Would be easy if he was not lusting after Kiki but really he just can’t help himself. Kiki knows the team blames her for the messed up mission so why is she included in the op? The chemistry between Kiki and Bane is about to explode. Who is going to be left standing in the end? Will the mission still be successful or will everything fail? In the end will all the lies get us killed or will they prove you can trust no one?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

This series just gets better and better! I’ve loved every book a little more than the last and this has quickly become one of my favorite series of all times… though I’m super sad it’s over.

Bane is known for being quiet but deadly and usually when he is talking it’s something sarcastic or smart-mouthed. Kiki aka Baby Spy is mostly hated by the group because of an incident in Walker. Bane’s had a hard-on for Kiki from the beginning and when the higher up’s at T-Zone, the under-cover agency the team works for, assigns Bane a kill-order for Kiki things get interesting. Kiki and Bane are thrown together and Bane quickly realizes that killing Kiki is going to be impossible when he’s falling in love with her…

I love that in each of the books in this series we get a little bit of each of the team members. This book is not only action packed but has the perfect balance of hilarity and drama to make it a real page turner. I can’t wait to read more from Rie Warren!

Rie Wareen is the master at writing dirty, hot sex. I know I should be saying how good the story, characters and action are - and they are - but this book his hot enough to melt your knickers off and I loved it!

Bane and Kiki are a perfect match out of the bedroom as well. It is clear pretty early on that Bane won't follow his secret orders but that leads to a whole different problem. Just like every book in this series we get great fast paced action and lots of banter. There is never a dull moment.

Bane, The Bad Boys of X-Ops series final book is wrapped up well with a satisfying epilogue. I've had a blast reading this series this year and I'm really going to miss these guys.

Of the 4 shadow ops, I was intrigued the most by bane. And I kinda liked him more when I found out about his eyes.

Early on the book, our famous and beloved Walker was still getting his ass (hahaha) in trouble and most of the 1st chapter was about him being stubborn and also – finally- about the dispute between storm and bane.

I would say that bane and kiki’s story was the shortest of the 4 because the rest of the final chapters were the conclusions for everyone. As you would already know, bane was ordered to kill kiki because of everyone’s suspicion that she was the one who sabotaged Walker and Jade’s rogue- mission, but since this is a good story with depth – it goes way, waaaay deeper than that. I have to admit, I really like the dark, brooding, rouged and the medical Griffin Bane (and my favorite part of him that is pierced. Yes. I like my men pierced. I’m pervy like that). They kinda opened up to one another, telling their past in quick, concise sentence(s), they both felt like an outcast so from there they kinda bonded.

There are lots of surprises in this book like James Lawless suddenly made another appearance *wink wink*

This book made me tear up because of the final chapters. The “what happened afters”, their Christmas party, the “bug” that has bitten the boys, and honestly just the confessions of each and every one of them. The Epilogue part was written in the Ladies’ POV and everything was just so heartfelt.

This is definitely one of my favorite series and the author will sure be one of my favorites. A good series to start my book binge 2018!

PASSION AT ITS BEST

That is what I feel has been conveyed in this story of Bane and Kiki or Baby Spy as everyone calls her.

The big badass and Kiki have been given an op together. What no one else knows is that Bane has been given priority orders ... kill Kiki. What Bane doesn't count on is falling in love with her!

This is the final book in this series and I'm going to miss these four men and their women! Well worth reading!

Mission complete

Bane and Kiki are one bad*ss pair to say the least. Bane sanctioned to kill her behind Blaize’s back. Kiki being used as a scapegoat by the higher ups in t-zone. Good thing Bane fell in love with her and let the whole team in on what was what. Taking down t-zone, starting a new and finding a very HEA.

World Building: The first half of the story takes place in Mexico and the second half takes place in the United States.
Characters: The main characters in this novel are Griffin Bane and Kiki Danger aka Katherine Dillon. Bane has always been dubbed the killer with no morals within the T-Zone organization and has just been tasked with the impossible. His head and heart are in conflict and the closer he gets to Baby Spy aka Kiki, the more lines between professional and personal get blurred. Can he take out the bad guys and follow his heart? Or will his head take over the decision making and have him do something that he will regret for the rest of his life? Kiki Danger has always been on the outside looking in, and her time at T-Zone hasn’t been any different. But one guy has caught her gaze and captivated her mind. Griffin Bane is the epitome of the strong silent type and she can’t get enough. When they are paired up on an op together, she can’t help but fall for him, and in the end is shocked by the news she receives. Can they work through the startling information? Or will she be forced to defend herself and become a lone wolf once again?
Plot: This story was all about taking down the bad guys and I loved it! These bad guys were a little closer to home and it was a twist that I didn’t see coming! But in addition to taking down the criminals there was a great romance between Bane and Kiki. The main characters complimented each other so well and I definitely thought they were meant for one another.
Writing: This novel is told in first person point of view of Bane! But what really made this last novel special was the different points of view in the epilogue chapter, which were all from the heroine’s point of view!
Curb Appeal: I really liked this cover! It screams Bane and speaks of his more simplistic side. It isn’t flashy like Walker’s cover was and I thought it fit this story perfectly! As much as the blurb tells you things, it really does leave out great shocking parts!
Ultimately: I loved this novel! I’m so sad that series is ending because I really loved all of these characters! They each grew so much from when we were first introduced to them and I can’t believe their stories are done! All in all, if you are in the mood for great high action novel with a healthy dose of hot sexy fun, please come check out Bane, and hell the whole series while you’re at it!!!!

✯✯5 Bane Size Stars!!✯✯

Well, it's true when they say the save the best for last. Because, that's what Rie did with this series. She left Bane for last and man is he my favorite. Bane had everything I was looking for including the whole Bane/Storm drama.

Bane got recruited to T-Zone by boss lady Blaize. He's the quiet killer of the group. Bane is the next up to run the next Op. His next in command is none other then Baby Spy or better yet Kiki. Nobody is happy about this. The guys have had it out for her for almost a year now. Ever since Walker's Op got compromised. Then, Justice's. Now, Bane has to go to Mexico with her. Before he goes the head of T-Zone call and give him another job to do while in Mexico. Kiki must be KIA and they want Bane to do it.

Kiki is making it her mission to prove to Bane and the guys that she wasn't behind all the damage on their Ops. She also can't help her growing attraction to Bane ESP since she can see his attraction in his eyes. They have a job to do and that's with the drug cartel. She runs into somebody from a past Op.It's a good things she's there because Walker and Bane aren't smooth talkers like she is. When everyone has to split up her and Bane are on their own. Legit on their own away from everyone else. It's there that both their decks of cards are laid out on the table. It's now that everything is blown wide, loud and messy.

I absolutely loved this book!! It was the end to another fantastic series by Rie Warren. All the guys and their fierce woman are all back. Bane and Kiki were perfect for each other. They had lonely lives and they weren't complete until they opened their eyes and hearts to the other one. But, their happiness totally didn't come easily. There was some major obstacles in their way. Luckily for them their best friends are fellow bad-asses and don't like following the rules. This book was legit non-stop everything including the epilogue from all the women's POV. If you haven't started this series yet hurry up!

Bane is a complicated member of the T-Zone team. He takes his targets out with ease, then turns around and patches his teammates up. He also battles serious demons because of where he came from, so he believes that he doesn't deserve happiness. The team is now in Mexico City chasing down the drug trafficking guerrillas to take them out, but Bane has separate orders to take out KiKi Damage, aka Baby Spy. It's believed that she's a traitor to the team after a mission gone wrong. The problem being, Bane feels a strong connection to her, and she feels the same for him. They are thrown together in close quarters the whole time, so staying away from each other is impossible, and strong feelings are developing at warp speed. As lies are unraveled, will they finally figure out who the real threat is before it's too late?

I've been with this team since the beginning, so I'm feeling very conflicted now. On one hand, I couldn't wait for Bane's story to come out, but on the other, I'm very sad that it's over. Yes, I have dramatic girly girl emotions flying everywhere. With that being said, I absolutely LOVED every minute of this fast paced, super exciting story. The character development is great, with the highly entertaining T-Zone team as secondaries. Flammable chemistry EXPLODES, like the gunfire of warfare, into dangerous SCORCHIN' HOT HOT HOT sexy scene goodness that left me sweating. Well placed humor had me laughing until my sides hurt, and the high levels of suspense kept my heart racing. Rie Warren's talented writing style shows new levels of diabolical twists and turns that kept me hopping like I was in the action myself. From the very first page, she had me hooked, and kept me a volunteer hostage, to the point of me tying myself to the chair until the end. While I have to reiterate the point that I'm sad about the series being over, I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book, author, and series to all!

The last and possibly the best of the four book series. Bane, like all of the Ops guys, is rhino tough, but there is a heart he tries to hide, a nagging guilt, some serious secrets, and an unmatched fighting ability. This time, he has the op, KiKi, AKA Baby Spy, is his partner. He has another order he can't share with her. He may or may not agree with the whole crew who thinks she is a spy and ratted out an op, almost killing Walker. There is no doubt about one thing—she is volcano hot, and he wants her.

We finally find out why he and Storm hate each other. We learn all of Bane's story and some secrets not any of the guys know. But don't think Ms. Warren just lays it out, she has to do a little tormenting with details first. The Ops is far from simple, easy or successful, at least not all of it. There is danger from more than the cartel for drugs and weapons. There is also danger to Bane's heart. Kiki is so much more than any of them knew. How can he fight his body, his heart, and his duty? Can he learn to trust her as he does the rest of the team?

For those who like the shoot-em-up-battles, you won't be disappointed. If steam and sexual tension is your deal (and whose isn't) you get plenty. If you want a character study of complicated people, here you go. We get to see the whole team working as a team, and we get the females giving their input in the epilogue—great way to end the series. As much as I wish the series could go on and on, I don't think you could find anyone who fits in with this group and wouldn't diminish the series. Although this is a stand-alone, you will enjoy it more reading in order to fully appreciate this team and their abilities, the women they pair with, and the reason they make the team work.

The highest recommendation from me.

*I received an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Bane's special mission puts him in a very conflicting spot and because of that he'll need to dig a little deeper to find out the why before he even contemplates completing his assignment. With the stakes rising on their joint mission he won't have to dig far.

Kiki "aka Baby Spy" is a handful. She loves teasing Bane to the point I almost hurt for him. But she'll risk losing at her own game once he decides he's through with her pleasurable torture and ready to lead the games instead of being played by them.

Blaize is her bossy self and thankfully she is, because their mission is FUBAR. With all the team members working together against more than they ever expected there is definitely no limits on the action. They'll divide and conquer.

Bane wraps up the Bad Boys of X-Ops series with a bang! Everything I wondered about throughout the series is learned and the bonus epilogues from the women's points of view was like putting a pretty bow on the already nicely wrapped box.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed with this one. It does wrap up the series quite nicely, but the story itself didn't fully pull me into it's grasp. There were parts that were narrative and described something that had happened instead of describing as it was happening. It doesn't happen that often, but for such a quick read it sure seemed as if it did.

My Favorite Moment: The Christmas Party is pretty hilarious. From the gag gifts to the ones people actually thought out, each was perfect for the one who opened it.
