You're probably better off using google or looking for a youtube video. Learning how to tie knots through this book isn't intuitive. I couldn't figure out a bowline knot until I saw a video of it.

Yeah, this was an awesome read.

Life changing book!

I too found this book great, and also followed along with it while tying my own ropes to practice.

Now,
Having been a Scout for years, a lot of this came as second nature - having learned it all before. But, it was a good refresher.

Also going camping soon, so this will help out.

Would recommend!

Use Google instead

Not worth the price. The diagrams are not intuitive and some are hard to puzzle out. Google "knots" and print the pages.

Really awesome book with practical knots. The illustrations are pretty lacking and confusing at times which is the only reason it's not five stars. But the knot selection is great.

This is the second knot book I've read. The first one had way more knots overall, but this book is actually better. The first one had way too many specialty knots and variants, whereas this will get you totally competent in no time with all the crucial knots to have in your tool belt. I learned a lot from it.

When the illustrations are lacking you can always search how the knot is tied on YouTube.

Too elementary and not practical compared to others

Find this knot book to be too simple for my taste, which reflects in the inexpensive price. So read in 35 minutes and gifted to a friend!

Sorprendentemente interessante e utile.

(Not really an art book, but I'm only reading books about knots for art so...)
Absolutely bizarre. This started out great, it had a nice list of definitions with illustrations to go along with each one. Then it completely failed to explain when each knot would be appropriate to use.

After that, half the book was a preview for the next book and included stuff on bouldering and what parts of an animal to use in a survival situation.

Bizarre. Not what I was looking for.

_____________
This is a graphic guide to make different knots, step by step, very useful and with easy-to-follow explanations. It is a good idea to learn them, since more than one will be essential for any outdoor activity.

This is a great book to learn how to tie and how to use knots. Knots that are useful in many of your daily endeavors. Everything from fishing to survival to securing a hammock in your back yard. Good knots may not be a necessity, but they can save you time, frustration, and even keep you safer. A good read and a good book to keep on hand for reference.
