Deborah Bladon has never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She's a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you can often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan is definitely her second home.

She cherishes her family and believes that each day is a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.

This is a review of all three books. I guess if you read enough of the short ones you're going to run into a clunker. That is not to say that this was awful. It was really good in the beginning and then it just got worse and worse with each book. So much of it was just same story different book and then the rest of it was just ridiculous. I was rolling my eyes so hard at one point that I was like okay let me just finish it so that I can say it's done with. I definitely wouldn't read it again...

Part 3 wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. It was just

and more useless drama.
I would not be surprised if there ends up being a part 4, because they are only safe for today.

I was hoping for more but still one great read...

I must admit after the highs I went through on the first and second book, I am now going through the lows. That's what happens when I read a good trilogy. I usually can't wait to get a hold of the next book and when I finally do, I then feel sad it has ended.
Having raved about the first two books especially the 2nd, this 3rd and last book was not as exciting as the first two were, it lacked some heat and steam as far as Jax's emotions are concerned. Somehow he gave me an impression he's not emotionally invested in. He's way too cryptic and always seem preoccupied. It seems the only times he's in the zone with Ivy is when they're having sex. Half the time he just disappears even in the most crucial times when Ivy needed him the most. His strong desire for revenge almost eclipsed his desire and love for Ivy. It's that feeling that made this seemed rushed, so many things left unfinished that left me scratching my head wondering. What happened to other characters that played a major part in the story. All in all, it was one great read.

Hoping for a little more

I'm a bit disappointed in the final book. I was hoping for a little more in regards to Jax and Ivy's future. Marriage, babies, what became of the investigation? I guess that is where imagination will take over. Still a good series though.

A lot of useless drama and the story barely went anywhere. Yet, for some reason I'm still continuing on to the fourth book.

Nice short series

This was a good conclusion to this short series. Although Ivy just ticks me off with her habit of not looking into things completely, lol. Hope the next one has a good epilogue.

Would you look at that?! I swear I keep getting the wrong copies that are missing pages. I refuse to believe, the structure and main characters in this novel, isn't an accident. Ivy is annoying and feels sorry for herself way to much! When she isn't feeling sorry for herself, she's bitter and trudging her way through a tug-o-war with her ex-fiance and the new "love" of her life. He claims he "loves" her too, but I think he loves his company more. Mark is such a rascal but I love him nonetheless. At times, he reminds me of Nolen Adams from 'Black Butterfly' by Sienna Mynx

It's the same old games and drama from books 1 and 2, then a beautifully worded letter, followed by the acknowledgement o.O
Now do you see my problem? I can't understand how this can be called the conclusion to the series, when only Ivy has gotten her answers. Then again, even she should need some loose ends tightened.

Other than Mark and his mischievous self, the remaining characters of this novel were completely ignored, even when they were needed to confirm and tie a bow on this bad boy! There are too many holes and what ifs, which brought to light for me, that Book 3 didn't really progress. It answered a few questions, brought up a hell of a lot more and then ended. Hence, the reason I don't believe that this is over, as their are too many loose ends and a big "what the hell happened?!" at the end.

On the bright side, I felt twinges of connection with Jax this go. I am no where near loving him status, but he shows potential. I would have loved to be included in the build up that led to his complete 360 on the literal last page of the novel, maybe even that one scene could have made a difference.

Let's not even talk about what was really in that video on the flash drive. It could have been more creative. In trying to find Jax, I ended up losing Ivy's character. I give up on trying to understand and navigate this novel and remain on her side. She fluctuates between the Ivy from the first chapters of book 1, to the naive, lonely, desperate Ivy of books 2 and 3. I just wanted the bag of wit that had me engaged when I began reading this series.

All the above and more was bearable because this is a short novel. With time, you can read this novel in a hour and a half tops. I don't mind novella material but being that it is suppose to be the "last" book in the series, we could have gotten some more pages because we really did need it.

I am starting to wonder if it is the length of these novels that diminish the attributes of Jax that compels Ivy. My dislike for him lessened by 5% with this installment but I still am unable to connect with him and vote for him in the land of book boyfriends.

The sex was fast and to the point, so thank God for that and Jax being a douche. Mark is a little criminal with a whole lot of mouthy. I expected more and not just as a reader, but as an observer. A ton of questions were left unanswered. Like where is Mark now and why the sudden change in Jax?

It doesn't feel like an end to me and the eye rolling was back with a vengeance in the beginning chapters. I am unable to completely write off this series, because I believe that it is filled with potential but in need of more pages and for the characters to share the small moments that are more important than they think. 200 more pages and we could have had a star!

I enjoyed this book but got sick of Jax cracking it and not trying to sort it out with Ivy, but in saying that Jax does have some very endearing qualities. As with the previous books in the series which could have been 5 star if there was a little more detail and not so rushed. Don't get me wrong I did enjoy the book/s but there are some story lines that needed further development that would have made this series great rather than good. One more book to go...

What I Loved:This story picks up the minute Part Two left off, with Ivy’s heart once again being shattered into a million pieces because of Jax’s secrets. Once again I sucked back into the crazy roller coaster of a relationship, and my heart just ached for Ivy who has to pick up the pieces of her life. I probably for the first time in this series went into this book kind of hating Jax, you definitely have a sense that there is more to the story and as you read you see there is, but initially I was not team Jax. I do love that we got to see Ivy making her own business decisions, and eventually going with her gut about what she wants out of her professional career and her personal life. I love that she is becoming more sure of herself and self-confident, because she was sorely missing that in the other two stories.

Not So Much: I really don’t like how Ivy kind of makes these split second decisions, and is all ready for her to pick up her life and go one way then back away from that decision. It’s making her look kind of flighty and not as steady of a character as she could be. I get why she’s making those decisions but I can’t take someone seriously who is all about the drama one minute then going back on all that the next. Plus I felt like the follow through with certain scenes wasn’t there, I wish there was more padding from one scene to the next. I get that this is a short story, but I feel like twenty more pages wouldn’t have hurt.

What I Loved: Wow! I thought the first story was dramatic, but damn this one blows the first one out of the water!!! Once again we find ourselves plunged into Ivy Marlow’s world, and her trying to put the puzzle pieces of Jax’s relationship with her and with Mark’s company. The first story ended with a big cliff hanger, and this story picks up right where the first one left off. I love that this story line isn’t just a love story but also somewhat of a mystery. We find out some more things about Jax in this story, but once again by the end you feel like you don’t know him at all. On top of Ivy trying to find her way around Jax and Mark’s relationship, she gets a whole other bomb dropped on her that puts her into a tailspin. Hell if it was me, I probably would’ve punched someone in the face and then faint!

Not So Much: I don’t enjoy how transparent Ivy is in this series so far. I hate how many of the female leads in these types of stories kind of lay out their feelings and their lives to these men who give them very little in return. Jax shares almost nothing with Ivy, and although it frustrates her at certain points I wish she would be more insistent or hold something back herself because their relationship to me, is very unbalanced. For once I would love to see the female lead be the mysterious one, holding more power instead of the other way around.

** Review for the series total can be found here: Still Obsessed **

"You are the shining light of my life. I love you more than I ever thought it was possible to love someone. You hold my heart in your hands. It is yours. That is forever."

I was heartbroken at the very beginning of the book...

Thank God, things cleared out through the book. Pheeew !

Obsessed Part Three is the continuation of the saga between Jax and Ivy. I liked the story. I wish that the book would have been sold as a whole unit as opposed to three shorts. After reading all of the stories I liked the relationship between Jax and Ivy. True Jax is a little controlling, but the author was able to convey a softer side of Jax, especially in this last installment. Overall the book was a little like a kiddie rollercoaster ride. There were twists and turns, but none where too severe. I do feel like Ivy was overreacting a little towards the end. I mean the girl had forgave him for much worse and she gets upset that he bought the company that was showing her work so that she doesn’t lose her source of income. Jax has done much worse. I also like that Ivy finds her back bone in this story. She decides that she is going to put her “big girl panties” on and get what she wants and deserves. The story doesn’t always go as expected, but it was very entertaining and I would and have recommended it to a friend. The sex is hot, the drama does get to be a little much, but only a little. In conclusion, I would want to read more about this couple and intend to read Still Obsessed.

When I read a romance, I typically fall in the love with the man, but that wasn’t the case with this story. I didn’t trust this man at all so the whole way through the story I questioned everything he did, whether it was genuine or whether there was some hidden agenda behind it. In the second book I got very frustrated with Ivy and just wanted to smack her because she was so irrational and so much in denial that she wouldn’t listen when people were trying to open her eyes to the truth. This story was a roller coaster of emotions. One minute you’re rooting for Jax and Ivy and the next minute, you want Ivy to run as fast as she can away from him. Then you’re rooting for them again, and then wanting her to run! At one point, I was hoping she’d turn from Jax and go to her lawyer, Nathan! So, initially I couldn’t say that I absolutely loved this trilogy, but now that I’ve reached the end, I have to say that I really did like it. As much as it frustrated me and took me on a roller coaster ride, I just had to know, was Jax a good guy or a bad guy? I just HAD to see how it was all going to end! So kudos to the writer for keeping me on the edge of my seat and taking me for a ride!

I am not rating just this novella but the whole series an overall 3.5ish stars...

Here are some side thoughts:

>The connection between Jax and Ivy seemed forced at times...

>There was an insta-love that had me WTFing?????

>Ivy was a complicated mess at times I loved her character and thought she was very classy chick while other times I just thought she was a moron...

>The secondary cast was lacking...

>I never understood why Jax was so obsessed...

As with all my reviews I always keep in mind when rating how much the book kept me engrossed in the story. This series of novellas (one book broken into 4 parts) did just that... I just want to go on record that I think it is ridiculous that this author (and many others) are splitting up one book essentially, into 4 parts and then calling it a series...Because it's not!!!!!!! Any whoooooo..

Happy Reading Ladies...

This book begins with ivy distraught over seeing the beginning of a video that is the grounds for her ending the relationship with the man she loves.

He begs her over and over to watch the whole video because she doesn't understand what really happened.

She flat out refuses to get the whole story despite her trusted friend and legal counsel advising her to do so.

I HATE BOOKS ABOUT WOMEN WHO ARE TSTL!!!!! (Too stupid to live!!!!)

This is how this book starts 46/130. Im already pissed! Not holding out much hope for the rest....

Thankfully the book got better.
The plot around the video got explained reasonably well although I still don't get why he did not tell her the truth instead of leaving room for that horrible discovery....

The ending separation and reunion does not make sense to me. My problem with this author's plots is they are so very improbable if not impossible. That removes some credibility and ruins the story for me.

Im interested enough to move on to book 4.

Yet again Ivy Marlow finds herself caught in a web of lies. Mark is no longer the reason for her anguish. It is Jax that haunts her now. The images of Jax and Brooke and their scheming, cheating, lying ways. She thought she knew Jax. Knew that he loved her, but just like Mark, all he wanted was her interest in their business. Crushed and hurting, Ivy is determined to move on. Except Jax is not ready to give up. He will never be ready to give her up. Struggling to convince Ivy of the truth, Jax will stop at nothing to win her back. The third installment of Obsessed is a battle of wills. Jax knows what she saw and what she thinks the truth is. Ivy can't make herself see more of Jax rendezvous with beautiful Brooke. He insists she needs to see it all to know the truth, but the truth is they are done. Jax might have lost one battle, but the war is far from over. Deborah Bladon surely knows how to keep the intrigue, mystery, and heat on. And then there is Still Obsessed…

Part three of Ivy and Jax's story. Even though more has been written about them in 'Still Obsessed' this could have been left as an ending to their story. Though it seems obvious you do need to read part one and part two to follow this story. Deborah Bladon also has a 'Reading Order' as I' told past characters appear in future books.

Well what can we say, after being left at another cliffhanger we finally get the answers we wanted. I think all three parts could have easily been put together in one novel and it was dragged out slightly to fill three shorter books, but it was still enjoyable to read.

Some 'erotic' scenes seemed added just to fulfill the genre more than add to the story but that's to be expected.

Part one was still my favourite but I have enjoyed reading Ivy and Jax's story, overall I give it 3 stars!!

What a crazy ride this series was...after everything I have to say I was a little disappointed in how it ended and would have liked to get an epilogue but overall, a quick enjoyable read.

My thoughts:

Quick hook or slow starter? 5 (after book 2's cliff, dived right into this one)
Character development: 4
Level of Romance between characters: 4
Passion/Heat level: 4 (more hot sex for these two)
Angst/Heartbreak: 4 (a lot of misunderstandings to work out in this one)
Cliffhanger?: Nope, this is the end for Ivy and Jax although a wrap up Novella would be nice!!!

Overall, at only $.99 each for these books it was an entertaining series...will defiantly have to check out more from this author.

I loved it! All the twist and drama going on in this was just too good to stop reading. I felt it was kind of rushed at the point when it jumped to Mark confessing but it didn't matter. I really wanted to see Jax open up and the two of them make it a couple days together without breaking up. The ending was great if it is not the last we read of them. For him to just drop everything with nothing planned screams for a fresh start in another story of these two together. I was really surprised that someone didn't have AIDS. I just knew Brooke was going to be in some hospital on her death bed and that was why Mark was so beat looking. Either way it was a good story.

Well at least Ivy came to her senses. She really annoyed me in this one. Her insecurities were truly annoying. It was almost like she had more faith in him before she knew the truth. Then once she had the truth she lost all faith. She let everything Mark did manipulate everything she felt with Jax. I seriously didn't get why she's was annoyed with Jax at the end when he wanted to go after Marks portion of the company. Mark deserved to lose everything? Although I was happy they ended up together, it was so genuine and touching what he did for her at the end, I'm pretty sure Jax got screwed.

5 awesome stars for Ivy and Jax story. Now all the lies has been out and the truth always saved the day. I just wish the ending, I wanted more than the ending that I just read. A more of this and a more a that, hopefully. But then again I'm super happy how their relationship continues and Jax is truly a a change man because of his Ivy .

Great job Deborah. Part 2 and Part 3 I read it on the same day. Because I'm dying to know more about what happen to Mark, Brooke and Liz. All the lies, betrayal, greedy and meaningless sex is truly a big major trouble.

I loved the series but book 3 could've been better. Ivy was annoying at times. Her confidence from Book 1 didn't follow over. I loved the letter at the end and wished we could've seen more of those feelings and that commitment to her way before the end.

Unanswered questions:
Where is Brooks?
What's Mark going to do since he had a heads up?
What happened to Ivy's secretary friend she talked it up with in book 1?
In the end, did Jax really have to go that extreme to prove his love? Couldn't he just dial back a little?
What happened to that apartment he put a new bed in for her?

I find the storyline a bit over the top. In my option, the fixation of Jax on Ivy is not believable. I guess I don't believe in love at first sight. Lust at first sight yes. I am not sure how you can fall in love with someone you don't even know. Jax does his research and he learns what he can on Ivy. He does surprise her. But..... I guess I am just a doubting Thomas......

Overall the storyline is good and there are twists and turns. The title is fitting but I get the willies with how Jax is almost stalkerish infatuated with Ivy.

One has to admire the persistence of an author who makes it to four books what could perfectly well fit in one. Jax and Ivy finally make up, he confesses his undying love and... well, hadn't he before? and she hops from the apartment the former cheating boyfriend paid for her to a jewelry store this other one gave her. Honestly, feminists are probably setting up a fire as we speak with her name on it, regardless of allusions to how talented she is as a jeweler. She's a complete moron in everything else.

Great conclusion to the series! This series was great from the beginning. Deborah Bladon created an amazing story with these characters. The intrigue of lies, secrets, and deceit had me skeptical of how the series would end. I must say, I was not disappointed by the end of the series. I actually hope to see more of Jax and Ivy in the future. These two characters were mesmerizing. It was a rocky road, but they smoothed the way.

I really enjoyed this series of books. It was well written and the characters were strong and likeable. There was plenty of suspense regarding who you could trust or believe with so much betrayal and so many lies from all those around Ivy. I must say that I loved Ivy's neighbour Mrs Adams, she was a sweet old lady but very wise. A much recommended series.
