Hollywood stuntman Ace had life changing decisions to make and time was running out. Bleakly, he saw a future of always being different, that was, until he met British beauty Nina Mae. Her enthusiasm for life was addictive.
Rich, party girl, Nina Mae was in love. But a demand to come home early and a simple mistake, changed the course of both their lives.
Would she ever get back to America? Or were they destined to be two people who met and enjoyed one unbelievable weekend, tied by the repercussions of those hours. Or was she simply his distraction?
When I described myself to my friends, I called myself an introvert, and they laughed so hard I should really be offended.
I also consider myself to be very lucky, as although born in Britain, I spent my formative years mostly in Kingston, Jamaica, with a long detour through Toronto and Nairobi. I married my college sweetheart and we have two kids and a cat. I LOVE cats.
I've come full circle and live in Nottingham, just 12 miles from where I was born.
My writing reflects all that I am and where I've been. I love mixing cultures and seeing what happens.
OMG I have read this author before but this book is the best I have read so far, in my opinion.
This is Ace and Nina Mae /Sabrine's story. This story will take you on a roller coaster ride of feelings and emotions. Sometimes you can meet your one true love/soul mate but you meet them at the wrong time in your life and this can put your life in a tail spin.
This couple belong together but the circumstances of their lives cause them to go on a 10 year journey of discovery. First they have to find themselves as individuals and then they have to find themselves as a couple. This story was fantastic and took me on a totally unexpected journey of what true love can endure and has to overcome sometimes in order to have forever.
This was a beautiful love story that had its heartache and pain, twist and turns but triumphed in the end. For me this is what true love is all about overcoming all barriers in order to be together.
This book is amazing love it from beginning to the end. There were times where Ni-Sabrina annoyed me but I understood her. I need me an Ace in my life he is so sexy. This book was written very well and kept me guessing as to where the story would go. It had heartbreak, mystery and happy times all round a good book. I've read all of this authors books and have not been disappointed. I can't wait to read the follow on book in this series.
I absolutely loved this book I didn't want it to end, I quickly fell in love with both Ni-Sabrina and Ace even though they could be irritating at times, I was often left wondering what route their relationship would take and took me through a wide range of emotions whilst doing so especially as I am a sucker for an happy ending, This book is deliciously well written and I cannot wait to see if there will be a sequel or series
OMG! This is up there with the others, I loved it that much I read it overnight, I could not put it down, once again brilliant writing, had me gripped from start to finish. Tops marks Caroline. Awaiting your next novel......hurry up!!! Lol. I highly recommend it as you'll love it... Well Done
His life is about to change with just one kiss, a promise and a mistake. He was a stuntman who expected his life to go one way but now it is going to go in a different direction. What is about to happen? What will they do in this new situation? One night will have many different changes so see what they are

This authors work is new to me. I was asked to read this book and I'm glad that I did. This was a beautiful love story. The cover really grabbed my attention because it's not what I am used to seeing. Once I read the synopsis, I was hooked. Ace is the hero with a very dangerous job, and Nina Mae is a beautiful British woman who became quite a distraction for him. They have a chance meeting and their whirlwind weekend of romance begins. I started reading and couldn't put the book down. The storyline flowed right along. I really hated to see it end. I will definitely be reading more of this authors work in the very near future. This is my first book by this author and I loved it. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed with such ease that I did not put it down till I had read from cover to cover.

I was given this book as a recommendation here on Good reads. By the cover, I thought this was going to be a historical fiction book. Who knew it was another meaning inside. The story of Alister/ Ace and Nina Mae/ Sabrina. As an exchange student in America Nina Mae kind of lived life freely. Her parents were successful, she had the support of a childhood best friend. So when she meets Ace, her life, takes a different path. For Ace, seeing this woman was something new. He wasn't going to explore it but she just kept finding away to be around him.
Black British, black British, Black British. I just want to watch a cool TV series with Black British people in it. Black British Africans, Caribbeans, and the British that are like Black Americans. We can't trace our roots but we developed our own culture. Reason why I mention British because the author is black British. Brexit and all.... never mind. Anyways, I like the book. I wasn't overly annoyed with the female lead and Ace was ok.... some times. I will say he made me very annoyed a lot of times.
I like the book, except for the quick pace. I didn't really like that. Since this is a series, the author could have definitely given the book a better pace, so that could have tackled the other story lines in the book, besides the love story centered around Ace and Sabrina.
Over all it was a good read. I don't know if I want to read the next book in the series but I might give it a try.
Perfect title for a riveting novel. I was distracted by Ace and Nina .. Couldn't put the book down because I wanted to get to the end. Caroline you have done it again. Bravo... Looking forward to the next one
