Can Maisie find what she’s always been looking for from behind a blindfold?

Maisie is in a rut. With piles of coursework, a demanding job and a tiny apartment, she never has time or money to enjoy herself. Life just isn’t giving her any breaks. The only good thing about it is her roommate, Kian.

Then a note arrives from an anonymous friend of Kian’s asking her to meet up with the mysterious admirer. It’s wild and romantic and just what she needs. The caveat? She has to wear a blindfold. The meetings start to become the one thing Maisie looks forward to after long, dreary days. But her affections for her mystery man are complicated by the long-stifled feelings she has for Kian.

Does she choose a man who is perfect for her, but out of reach, or one who’s mysterious and pushes all the right buttons?

An inveterate traveller, Kait has set foot on three continents and has the other four on her bucket list (yes, even Antarctica). Until she can see them all, she writes romances that take readers to far flung locales, often to places she’s been or hopes to one day go. For now, she’s settled in England where she spends most of her time plotting, scribbling ideas on every available scrap of paper and trying out dialogue on her cat.

Riiiigggghhhhhtttt.

Maisie Edwards is far too busy to think about dating. She's fine with her life revolving around work and hanging out with roommate Kian Walker. When she gets a surprise from a secret admirer, Maisie is intrigued enough to go along with the blindfolded date. Will Maisie be on board with getting to know this mystery man with her eyes wide closed?

BLIND SPOT is a quickie read that was short on words but long on eye roll moments. I mean, let's break this down: Maisie receives a secret admirer note. She has no clue who it's from (but the reader knows immediately even if it's not implicitly stated until the last chapter), but her roomie Kian vouches for the dude. She meets this guy (using the word "meet" loosely), in her blindfold, doesn't recognize his voice, and pretty much immediately starts with the sexcapades. She's inexperienced, has never had the big "O" or given oral sex, but HO, HEY – mystery dude busts down all her barriers and soon she's got an anal plug in and she's falling in lurrrve. ALL WITH HER BLINDFOLD ON. Now, I don't know about you, but no. Just no. There's fiction and there's completely ridiculous, and BLIND SPOT most definitely falls into the category of the latter.

Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; condom use; BDSM/kink (blindfolded sex with unknown partner); no sexual assault; no violence/murder.

This book is aptly named. Maisie is a naive character who suddenly receives her heart's desire... a secret admirer who romances her like none other. All her fantasies are coming true... even the sudden anal fun with a butt plug up her little untried bottom. This story was odd for me. The concept was sweet with a not so secret admirer. It was pretty easy to figure out who the admirer would be. The rapid slip into light bondage was kind of sweet too. Overall, this book was just a bit too short and flimsy for me. The kink was light. Maisie was a bit too shallow. Her roommate, Kian is too good to be true.
