AN SS./ASG. SYFY. Deep Space Action Adventure (TF) (HAD)

Ss/ASG. have penned a short story about a new butter bar, recent graduate from the academy, reporting aboard for her first assignment. She is different than most new 2nd LT. because she is from a family of Marines that goes back hundreds of years. Unfortunately, every Marine on board the Heinlein are aware of her history. She sets her own goals to lead those that are assigned to her. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

It's a short story complimenting the novels, and it shows in the sense that it's not something closed, not a cliffhanger, but a snippet to make you interested in the novels

This was just a short story featuring Ashlyn Shaw in her start as a new Lieutenant but I loved this addition to the series. This snippet of her beginning as a Marine officer would have been great to read prior to the first book.

Ashlyn's first mission as a Marine is well written and gets to the action in a timely manner.
