In part three of the new Dark and Dirty Tale serial by New York Times and USA best-selling author Kristin Miller, the time has come for Red to choose. But things are not always as they seem…

Before the night is through, I’ll join the Arcana wolf pack, declare a mate, and transition into a wolf for the first time. I must decide between Reaper, the devilishly sexy huntsman, and Lukas, the fiercely controlling Alpha. Both pleasure me senseless, taking me to heights I’ve never known. But I can’t have both.

Time is up, and I must choose.

But Lukas just dropped a bombshell. If I declare him as my mate, no other person is allowed to touch me. Ever. Not a handshake or a good-bye hug. Talk about stifling. Not to mention, the Omega has all but forbidden me to choose Reaper. As I stand before the pack, I must decide…the man who unleashes dark desires inside me, or the man I’m forbidden to love.

Get ready for scorching hot Alphas, a spitfire heroine, and a breathtaking ending!

The Dark and Dirty tale series is best enjoyed in order.

Dangerously Red is the third and final book in the series, A Dark And Dirty Tale by Kristin Miller. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Entangled: Scorched, and by the author.

I have loved this series from the start and couldn’t wait to see how it all turned out and this conclusion left me gasping. It was such a surprising ending and I loved it.

Woman in red cape with two men:

Ivy finds herself in an impossible situation. Her body is attracted to both the Alpha of the Arcana Pack, Lukas, and the man she first met in the garden, Lukas’s cousin, Reaper. The Omega has given her no choice as to who she must choose. But is that what her heart truly wants? And the Lukas that is now in front of her is not the same Lukas she first encountered. He is now cold and demanding. He has stated that once she claims him as his mate, no one but him will ever be allowed to touch her in any way, not even a hug or hand shake. For the rest of her days, he will be the only one ever allowed to make contact with her. Can she really live like this?

A wolf wouldn't even tear me apart like the way you did.:

Every time she sees Reaper, it seems like they can’t stop the magnetic pull between them and end up having sex, no matter what the risk. And let me tell you, these two together are like spontaneous combustion!

https://www.google.com/search?hl=en

As I said before, I did love this series. Before I read these, I have never read anything by this author before but I really need to change that. I love her style of writing and in every one of these books, even though they are short, she kept me on the edge of my seat. So if you enjoy hot shifters and lots of sexy times, this series might just be for you. This new Scorched line that Entangled is putting out is just that, scorching. And I love it!

'Dangerously Red' by Kristin Miller is book three in the "A Dark and Dirty Tale". This is a novella that is around 55 pages. This continues the story of Lukas, Reaper and Ivy. I strongly feel you will need to have read the other two books to enjoy this one. This book allows us to see what happened and who Ivy chose as her mate. This was another hot book that you just wanted to finish to see what actually happened to them. Overall great hot short read!

It's time for Ivy to officially join the pack and that means choosing her life mate. But will she pick domineering alpha Lukas or will she go against everyone and choose Reaper, the man she started falling for first but is forbidden from mating?

I'm sorry to say it but I just don't have a very high opinion of this series, not only is it very overpriced considering each instalment is only about 55 pages long but I never got answers to my questions regarding the world building and there is absolutely no character development. Lukas and Reaper pretty much treat Ivy like a toy to fight over and I don't think either of them particularly care about her or want her to be happy. Reaper is marginally better than Lukas but the shine has worn off him since part one.

I'm also finding myself cringing at every sex scene, Ivy has gone back and forth between two men multiple times in the space of a single evening and not once have they used protection so it kind of turns my stomach a bit. It doesn't help that I knew exactly who she would end up with and who was causing trouble in the pack from the first instalment, I kept hoping to be surprised but it was all as predictable as hell and quite boring really.

I can't recommend this serial, it's over priced, the world building is shoddy and the characters aren't interesting or memorable. I'm disappointed.

Hot! Hot! Hot! Dangerously Red is part 3 of the Dark and Dirty Tale. You will want to read these in order. Book 3 is the conclusion to Ivy, Reaper and Lucas's story. These are quick short stories about Ivy choosing her mate. It was hot, steamy and fun to read about two wolves fighting for a mate.

Its such a beautiful thought, that a person's one true love will cross their path and each individual would be spared to grief of a lonely (possibly singular) existence. Once the fated lovers/mates cross paths then they will live happily ever after or at least that is what the fairytales would have you believe. Can these chanced meetings that result in insta-love really end in a HEA? I really can't answer that but Red really tried her damnedest to make that a reality.

Our Red is in a very complicated situation. She has to find a pack and obtain a mate all before her 25th birthday. She with the pack she wanted but the mate part is a bit complicated. She has two hotter than hades males clamoring for the job and all she has to do is choose correctly. Choosing the correct mate maybe the hardest task of her life and to find out who she chooses you're going to have read for yourself. What I can say is that the author has whipped up a fast paced conclusion to her three part serial (Dark and Dirty Tales ).

Both alphas (Reaper and his cousin Lukas) are intense male leads with appeal dripping from the pages and both characters are as different as night and day. Reapers is dark, large framed and just a big softy where Lukas is lighter in coloring, slighter in build and a definite control freak. These differences in style and appearance help to show the reader how the story will unfold. Though Red's (Ivy) choice is the focal point of this last installment, the other elements of the story aren't lost.

Dangerously Redwraps up with a tidy Happy Ending, but I can't help to think that there is possibly more to had from this story. Though you're left wondering what will happen to Lukas next. He is definitely the bad guy of this three part serial but I get the feeling there is more to be told about his character.

The conclusion to Kristin Miller’s Dark and Dirty Tale serial basically reveals who Ivy picks to mate with, Lucas, the Alpha of the pack or Reaper, the Omega. Ivy’s spent time with and is attracted to both males but as time runs out she has to make a decision that she’ll have to live with for the rest of her life. Meanwhile, Reaper plans on continuing the search for his parents’ murderer with or without Ivy. Decisions, decisions right?

Everything is told quite quickly but with enough believability to make it worthwhile. It was pure curiosity on my part that had me picking up Dangerously Red after finding out that the first “book” wasn’t really a book but part of a novella. Yeah, I’m not into serials but I wanted to finish what I started. I did miss out on the second part of this serial but Dangerously Red manages to give enough information so that I got the gist of where Ivy was in this final installment, all without wasting precious time because at around 55 pages, every word counts.

Some readers might take issue with Ivy’s back and forth between Lucas and Reaper because she doesn’t just stop at being mentally torn between them. She lusts after both so, you can see where there might be an issue with some readers. It didn’t bother me that much to where I couldn’t get into what was happening, it all happens very quickly. There are one or two moments where some characters are redeemed a little bit in my eyes but I still took some issues with how controlling the males are. That’s what irked me. They treated Ivy like an object sometimes and worse, she let them do it.

Naturally since Dangerously Red is the last part of the Dark and Dirty serial, a lot of things have to be resolved but when there’s a serial like this a lot of things suffer. Things like character growth. It’s a fun read to be sure and if you’re a reader who doesn’t mind serials then by all means go for it but if you like more fleshed out stories then this is not for you. There’s no time to bond with characters or even get to know them. No background info save for what’s pertinent to the current events of the story, no moments where the characters are just being themselves, nada. The conclusion wraps up well though, there aren’t any major loose ends and all the important parts are covered: Who killed Reaper’s parents? What is Lucas hiding? Who does Ivy choose? What happens to Ivy and whoever she chooses?

Final Verdict: If you’re looking to score a really sexy paranormal romance and don’t mind the VERY short length, be sure to pick this one and the previous installments up.

In the third and last part of A Dark and Dirty Tale is the most exciting, and by far. And it would be difficult to be read as a standalone, you would miss a lot, and it would be a shame, because this is a fantastic trilogy, and not because it is fine erotica, but also because the story is fabulous. Don’t believe for a second, that you will get one tiny spoiler from me! With only a few moments left before having to choose her mate, Ivy is the involuntary cause of a battle royale between Reaper and Lukas, and she chooses. And oh my goodness, Ms. Miller almost made me have a heart attack! DANGEROUSLY RED is aptly titled because there is danger throughout the book and the gothic feeling adds to the tension, whether it concerns relationships, or the political angle.

As usual, Ms. Miller’s writing is impeccable, and very lyrical; the sex scenes are sizzling hot, but what impressed me the most is that in a novella, I felt so much, that my heart broke for Ivy and the decision she made, but more specifically for the reason she made her decision, and if that is not a major accomplishment, I don’t know what is. I also very much appreciated the subtle case Ms. Miller made for or against? some alphas. There are tremendously exciting plot twists, and one is an epic shocker! Ms. Miller also has the best description I have ever read about how it feels to shift, and for the first time, I would have wanted to experience it myself. DANGEROUSLY RED is absolutely fantastic!

This is the third novella in this series and has a really great surprise for readers in it! No, I’ll not say any more as I don’t like to give spoilers away if I can help it. I hadn’t liked the decisions being forced on Ivy at the end of Dominating Red but could see how she’d been influenced and reasoned things out. The revelations in this final story in the series bring everything to a much better close.

This is one series where it is very important to read them in the correct order. The story is, IMHO, erotica (something I normally avoid reading) but the love triangle, the tension and political situation made this a more substantial, if very quick, read. It is packed with twists and turns to keep the reader guessing and a superb surprise ending to bring it to a close. If you enjoy reading hot, paranormal romances with the heroine torn between two lovers, a mystery and plenty of intrigue packed into a very short novella, this is definitely one for you.

Many thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for gifting me an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

UGH!!!
Just ugh!

I knew this wouldn't be a life-changing read, but COME ON! When there's more sex than story, it's not even a story anymore but straight-up porn. And the porn was just so bland and blah that I kept turning the pages hoping for more. Alas, I was left beyond disappointed. Why? Because the premise was so good and part one, even with its glaring faults and pitfalls it was decent enough to hang hope upon. But part two started to drag (yes, drag in less than 55 or so pages). So I'm like okay, part 3 will end with me salivating. No. That didn't even remotely happen.

Why, oh why should a preshifter be forced to find a mate WHEN THEY KNOW NO ONE THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE MATED TO ... FOR LIFE??!!! And before you say, oh they could have the Omega choose for them, I say cop-out and REALLY?! I'd better understand if you had say a month or so to choose a mate or one would be chosen for you. You know something like that that is far more believable.

No onto the FL (I honestly forgot her name and I just finished this serial less than 5 mins ago). What was she to be portrayed as seriously? A come bucket? OMG!!! This chick kept flipping between the cousins faster than how I change my mind in a Burger King line. I swear in the ONE NIGHT she had sex at least two times more than me over the last week alone!
Her dick-hopping skill is something to be shamed with her jumping from bed to bed within literal minutes of meeting the two. And to her, it was no big deal bc she felt a connection. *Insert massive eye rolls*

So why, you say, did it get a 2 star not 1? Bc as annoying as it was to admit there were some parts that held my attention and wanted me to delve further (Bk 1). I just wished the author would've fleshed this out some more bc all three parts come to about 150-160 pages. If it got extended and made the characters (looking at you FL) more than a caricature of a sex-crazed fiend, then I'm sure this could be very decent. But as it stands, no. Just NO!

ETA: Honestly? This was based off Red Riding Hood?! Where?

So this dropped to a one star because it progressively got worse through the three books. I had problems with the spelling, the inconsistency, the characters and the cliche plot. It just wasn’t my cup of tea. Reaper letting her go to hunt his family’s murderers just shows how not up to par his love really is. I want the burning need to be so overwhelming that he says fuck it, i can’t let my COUSIN fuck her and leave her mate forever to someone else. This just fucking disappointed me and the way Ivy went between the two (though i can’t blame her, she was playing the field and she was counting down the clock to choose a mate) but we knew the cliche of Lukas being the murderer, big whoop, which again shows how dumb Reaper is to be gone for years on a goose chase while the real criminal was back home being alpha and enjoying Reapers’ birthright.

This is the last installment of the Dark and Dirty serial series by Kristin Miller. It's been one heck of a sexy ride. I've been looking forward to the conclusion of this serial to see who Ivy will pick for her mate.

It's a time of reckoning Reaper and Lukas clash over Ivy but we are reminded by the Omega that it is the woman who always chooses.

At the start of this part, Ivy is still stuck between a rock and hard place, or should I say between one sexy shifter Alpha and another?

As Ivy makes her decision for who she will choose as her mate, her heart does battle with her head between who she is instinctively drawn towards and who her head and the Omega tells her she needs to choose.

On the one hand, she is drawn to Reaper who is sexy and passionate, who makes her feel cherished and protected. On the other, there's Lukas who is demanding, dominating and controlling, who is able to take total control of her body and her responses.

While the time draws near for her to stand in front of the entire pack to make her decision, Ivy is still torn and as I read both how she feels and how Reaper feels from both their points of view, my heart aches for them and the impossible situation they find themselves in.

Ivy's decision surprises everyone and sets off a chain of events that is wholly unexpected.

I truly enjoyed the way Ivy's decision was revealed and all that transpired after. Ms Miller does a fantastic job of wrapping up the entire story in a very satisfying manner. And we also finally get to see the Omega in her true colors. Awesome!

No more cliffhangers. This is the end. I look forward to discovering what else Ms Miller might write. She's definitely won me over as a fan.

In this final installment we learn even more about Lukas, his character and how he leads his Pack. We also realize how controlling he can be when he tells Ivy that as his mate he will FORBID anyone (other than him) to touch her ever again. I can’t even imagine a life without the touch of anyone besides my mate. Never another hug from a friend, a handshake to greet a visitor, an encouraging pat on the shoulder as she learns to live life as the Alpha’s mate.

Ivy knows who she should choose. She understands how crucial her choice is to the stability and the future of the Arcana Pack. What she doesn’t realize is the impact her choice will have on the lives of all those she is learning to care about.

One of my favorite fairy tales when I was younger was “Little Red Riding Hood”. I loved the lines “the better to see/eat you with” – they always made me giggle. Now, as an adult, I have discovered the genre of “adult fairy tales” but obviously I enjoy them for very different reasons. Now the line “the better to eat you with” has a very different meaning *wiggles eyebrows* This author definitely knows how to write a smoking sex scene - I very much enjoyed the scenes in Dominating and especially Dangerously Red. More importantly, she knows how to emotionally connect the characters with the readers; in and out of the bedroom.

This author is one of my favorites for wolfies and this book does not disappoint! While I am not usually a fan of serials, I was able to read these one after the other so I didn’t have to suffer through the wait.

Great ending to the trilogy!

This has been a great trilogy but I must warn you to have all three parts ready to go before you start because you will get pulled in and need to know what happens next, especially with the cliffhangers of the two prior books (Desiring Red and Dominating Red) in the trilogy.

How will Ivy choose between Reaper, and Lukas? But time has come and she must choose a mate. Will Lukas or Reaper come out to be the winner in this little game?

Kristin Miller was a new to me author when I read the first book, I happily say that I am now a fan and I look forward to more of her work.

This one didn't end up going where I thought it would, given the series start (and the blurbs, and the covers--I know, I know, but I keep expecting things...) but ultimately they were entertaining.

I feel like I need to re-read the first two books again ( Desiring Red and Dominating Red ) just to check the consistency of the antagonist--one of the characters ends up doing a total turnaround from what they originally appear to be, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Things end up working out well for Ivy in the end--but does the change make it too easy?

All three books in the series are out now, and even back-to-back they'd be a quick read--not standalones, though; they really need to be read in order. If you're partial to werewolves and like your romances heavy on the steam but fairly light on plot, you'd probably enjoy this series.

Well, I didn’t see that one coming. I honestly thought that Ms. Miller was going to go in a different direction, or maybe the dirty side of me hoped she would but I didn’t see that one coming, nope I sure didn’t. Dangerously Red is the final installment in this serial series and it ends with a bang or should I say bite since we are dealing with wolves here? Reaper and Lukas both want Red for their own, but for very different reasons. Just as we think we know who she is going to choose, we find out that may not be the case.

Dangerously Red is just as hot and sexy as the first two, but this is the one when we find out who Red will choose to be her mate, will her heart win or will she do what she has been told is right? Well I am not going to tell you, you need to read to find out, but make sure you have read the previous books to know why her choice is so important. I really loved each book, and they are short reads so you can knock them out quickly, and with this book whore’s busy life, I need some quick, hot and sexy books from time to time.

'Dangerously Red’ is book three in the "A Dark and Dirty Tale". It is a novella that continues and wraps up the story between Lukas, Reaper and Ivy. I definitely recommend you read the previous two books to understand what is going on in book 3. There is a lot of action between the wolves -- Reaper and Lukas want Ivy for their own but they each have their own reasons for why they want her. I have a reason to think on who she will pick but her final choice will not necessary be who you think and her reasons on why she picked her final choice will grab your attention.
Dangerously Red is full of passion, of intrigue, of dangerous sexual attraction, of heat and love and of angst and pain. This is the story of Red making her choice for mate ; will her heart win or will she do what is expected and do what is right and chose the expected mate ? In order to find out, you need to read the final entry in this Dark and Dirty Tale, for you wont be disappointed.

Dangerously Red is the third book in ‘A Dark and Dirty Tale’ series by Kristin Miller. The books are meant to be read in order of Book 1 - Desiring Red, Book 2 - Dominating Red, and Book 3 – Dangerously Red. Each one is an exciting quick read filled with suspense and hot naughty scenes involving Ivy, Reaper and Lucas.

We are introduced to the three werewolves in book 1 and it ends with Ivy having to choose between Reaper and Lucas. The plot twists and turns in book 2 leaving you confused on who you would pick if you were Ivy. She is attracted to both and it is not a very easy decision! The conclusion in Book 3 was surprising and I was reading late into the night. If you enjoy an intensely hot paranormal werewolf series…look no more! The intensity of this novel continues in this part with it being where you will finally after all the anticipation get a choice from Ivy. Thus far this has been one raw and heated ride with the roughness that only a wolf can bring. Heat will pour off the pages so be sitting by something cool especially since this opens up with crash and bang. Ivy will also finally get her transformation also. This one is jammed pack with emotions that will help you release your tensions that have built from waiting. I also must say love when Omega has a key role in things such as this one. When all said and done things will be as they should be with us the reader having been along for the journey. Plus this one will be seared into us for a while. Especially after the wrap up that will last forever for two.

Some twists and turns for Red, the Alpha Lukas and his cousin Reaper. Red has to decide which male is to be her mate and neither is making it easy for her. Even grandma has her part to play in this tale.
The best part of this erotic story the power play is put into action and Red holds the cards on the final decision. I won't even hint on who came out on top but I will say I was more than pleasantly pleased.

Two alpha wolves, one female wolf who holds the power, some very hot sex scenes and a grandma that adds a new meaning to female power. A very dirty tale that grabbed my attention from the start and had a rather fitting ending. My only complaint is three very short parts that should all go into one book. But even with them being spaced apart they were released rather quickly.

This is book 3 in the fairy tale, and the conclusion it seems.... Red aka Ivy is torn between her draw and desire for Reaper, and duty and standing with the pack in Lucas. Both excite her and have her experiencing more organism in one night then she has had in her lifetime. Can she convince Reaper to give up his search for his parents killer and come home to the pack and her or will she have to choose controlling/demanding Lucas to be in good standing in pack?

The epic saga from Kristen Miller comes to its breathtaking conclusion with Dangerously Red.

The big question is which wolf does Red choose and what happens when she makes that decision?

I'm not going to give away spoilers but what happens I didn't see coming and it was fantastic.

Lots happens in this final part and it kicks off fast from the first page and continues till the end where you finish with a satisfied sigh.

It was a brilliant idea to split this story up so as to build the drama.

I look forward to more from both this author and Scorched.

This is the last installment of the series. Picking up after the mayhem at the end of the second novella, Ivy has a choice to make, but is it really hers?

This was definitely the ending I was hoping for, with everything wrapped in a bow. My only complaint was (as I mentioned in my review of Desiring Red) as this is a serial novel, the novellas themselves are short and therefore lack the background details and can make some of the scenes feel rushed.

Dangerously Red by Kristin Miller is Part 3 of A Dark and Dirty Tale. The final installment to the series is here and dayummmm is it hella hawt! Each installment is a quickie read of approximately 50'ish pages. Love me some Kristin Miller! Her writing style is amazing and the details so crisp and clear that you could be right there in the thick of things. Even with each installment being so short, nothing is sacrificed for the sake of length...kudos Ms. Miller!

I absolutely loved this whole novella trio from Kristin Miller! It was a real treat. I've been a huge fan of Kristin Miller's for a long while, and this one was definitely her steamiest yet. I liked the characters, and while I wanted a little more from the plot, I overall thought it was a really great read. I read part one, then moved instantly on to part two, and finished off with part 3, needing to just devour the entire story!

Each instalment in the series garnered different reactions. The series opener was attention grabbing, the second instalment was downright off-putting for this reader and book three held some redeeming qualities for some of the characters. The stand out characters for this reader were Reaper and his Gran - the Omega.

Dangerously Red is part 3 and the last one of the Dark and Dirty Tale.

Each part starts where the previous one finished. This time we finally know who will be chosen by Ivy. Reaper and Lucas want her and Ivy is torn by her feelings for both men. I enjoyed this conclusion to this hot and sexy Tale!!!

Well now, that was a nice surprise! I was really ticked off with Ivy's choice at the end of Dominating Red but OMG what a twist. Never really liked Lukas anyways. I just can't digest all that ego and arrogance. But Reaper, what a darling he is. Ivy, you lucky lucky girl.
