Keepin' The Faith

I had always been a good girl ruled by my catholic guilt, until one little slip-up in college led me down a different path. Now, I’m just trying to be the best mom I can to my little girl, making ends meet - cleaning houses by day, hosting sex toy parties at night, and holding out hope that Prince Charming truly does exist.
Then I met him - handsome, successful, and hardworking. The perfect Prince Charming. Right? Wrong. So wrong.
I’m carefree.
He’s a perfectionist.
I’m broke.
He’s rich.
I’m a single mom.
He doesn’t have patience for kids.
And…Did I mention, he’s my new boss? A boss who has me thinking more impure thoughts than a teenage boy with their first dirty magazine, a boss who is totally out of my league, and a boss who I’m impossibly attracted to.
Sometimes a girl must give up the illusion that fairy tales exist and realize happily ever afters only happen in movies. I’m not a princess, and he’s not a prince.
But when an unconventional fairy godmother intervenes to work her magic, maybe just maybe, I’ll get to wear that crown after all.

Ever since I can remember, I've always had a passion for Creative Writing. There's something special about being able to travel to a different place or become a different person with just the stroke of a pen--or in today's world a touch of the keyboard. Maybe it all started with the soap opera-level drama I used to script for my Barbie dolls. Plot twists, emotional arcs, surprise twins—it was basically a writer’s room before I even knew what one was. Whatever the spark, storytelling quickly became my favorite way to explore, create, and shake up reality just a little. I love stories that keep me on my toes. The kind that push me outside my comfort zone and introduce me to characters I either want to be friends with... or dramatically argue with in a fictional diner.

I love traveling to scout out new and exciting settings for my books—but nothing beats a peaceful walk in the woods or a seat by the ocean close to home. Turns out, plot twists and inspiration show up just fine with a sea breeze and squirrels.

Keepin' The Faith is a rom-com based around the life of struggling single mother. Faith is a maid and a sex toy saleswomen. She's struggling to make ends meet when her fairy god mother swoops in. In the form of one of the owners of the houses she cleans. Sylvia becomes Faiths confidant and helps her take care of her daughter Joey while Faith is starting her new job.
One thing Faith doesn't know is that Sylvia is the grandmother of her handsome boss. When feelings start to develop and things progress between Faith and her Prince Charming.

I enjoyed this book it was a good read. Better than I expected, Joey was so adorable and funny. Faith was sweet and kind. I loved her personality. I liked this book it was a good read.

Keepin’ The Faith by Beth Rinyu
4.5 stars!!!

“Yes, our love story had all the elements of the perfect fairy tale, but instead of a fairy godmother, we had a chain smoking, spitfire grandma who didn’t need a magic wand to create a happily ever after. Instead, she used her domineering stubborn ways to make it all come together perfectly…and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

I have read a few books by Beth Rinyu and this book is up there as one of my favourites of hers, from a meddling fairy godmother to a precocious little girl and a hero and heroine that were to die for, this book had it all. I adored this story, adored the characters (all bar one) and just couldn’t put it down, from laughing out loud one minute to swooning the next, this book ticked my boxes and left me a very happy chappie.

Faith was a single mum; she had fallen pregnant while in college and rather than take the easy way out she embraced her impending motherhood and embraced the situation. She was a fantastic mum, worked all the hours to provide for her daughter, with a little assistance from her parents and a flaky dad that was kind of on the scene still. He provided no financial support as he was still at college after changing his major so many times he was a perpetual student, he lived in a fantasy land.

Faith cleaned houses for the elderly ladies she knew and also hosted sex toy parties at night. Faith’s aspirations were to somehow finish her degree while still giving her daughter the life she deserved, her answers seem to come when she shockingly gets a job where she bombed the interview. However, all is not as it seems… one of the elderly ladies that Faith cleans for, Sylvia, is actually her boss’s grandmother. Faith and Sylvia have a fantastic friendship and Sylvia also idolises her grandson Gabe…so she becomes a matchmaker…she has put them in each other’s paths…now it is up to them to do the rest…but not before she meddles some more.

With Faith trying to keep the family unit that her daughter deserves she learns the hard way that leopards do not change their spots. With a job that pushes her mentally but gives her a new lease of life, Faith kind of goes through a metamorphosis with new found confidence that is only fuelled by her extremely handsome boss, Gabe.

“I was definitely feeling like I was in an alternate version of Cinderella with my naked Prince Charming lying next to me. But who needs a fairy godmother with a magical wand when you’ve got a boss with a magical dick?”

Gabe and Faith have a huge physical attraction, but the more these two work together the more the attraction grows into something special. Gabe is relationship averse after being burned and a complete workaholic but Faith gives him the incentive to change, to live a life, rather than be a monotonous robot. The fact that Faith’s daughter, Joey, idolises him, is just another added bonus.

“Why invest time into things that are only going to fall apart…”
“Because maybe one time they’ll fall together.”

As always, the course of true love never runs smooth but with a meddling Sylvia, these two should have just given up the ghost, admitted defeat and sailed off into the sunset. Sylvia was a hoot, she brought the light and humour into this cute romance and totally blew me away. Everyone will want a grandmother like her. Joey was ADORABLE and this little girl will melt the hardest of hearts. But most of all, Beth Rinyu brings you an honest and real romance, where opposites do attract, fairy tales do exist and love conquers all. Totally loved it.

I loved his book! This book was just everything! It totally blew me away. And just like Easy Silence, When The Chips Are Down, Two Of Hearts, & Straight To The Heart. This book did not disappoint.

I was laughing pretty much from the beginning all the way until the end. My heart broke for Faith a couple times in this book. I've never been a single mom. But I was raised by one. And growing up it was pretty hard. Faith's main goal was to better her life for her daughter Joey. And I felt this book did a good job conveying that.

Faith-
I loved everything about her. Her character was portrayed perfectly. She was all over the place. She had several jobs to keep her afloat. She was always tired. And she had the best attitude when certain situations presented itself...(c*ck rings!lol) she was a little too trusting. She always tried to find the best in people. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. And she took chances. Sometimes they didn't always work. But she tried. She loved her daughter with everything she had.

Joey-
That little girl had me laughing throughout this book! All her phases she went through. Oh my gosh. She was just too much! When she committed to something... she really committed to it! Just like her mom. She put her everything in the things she did... to the people she loved. That little girl had such an big and open heart. To be quiet honest. She reminded me a lot of my niece. My sister is a single mom raising her daughter and my niece would say and do things to crack me up. She has a very wild and out there personality and imagination.... Just like Joey. And I loved that!

Cole-
“The genetic contributor". He turned out to be a royal A hole! I thought in the beginning that things could maybe work between Faith and Cole. He seemed like a good father. Flawed... but seemed to go somewhat go out of his way for his daughter.
But... nope. He turned out to be the worst!
I couldn't believe how far he went towards the end.

Natalia-
Faith's best friend Natalia was not always to my liking. She had a strong personality. She had a I know best attitude. And instead of talking with Faith she was always talking at Faith. I really had wished that Faith would have said something to her. And in a way set her straight. Because no matter what's going on in your life. You're supposed to feel comfortable going to your best friend for everything. And Faith couldn't. Natalia wasn't a bad person. But I felt she need a friend adjustment.

Sylvia-
Omg! Did I love that old lady! The things that would come out of her mouth! "scoochy coochy”, "weenie beanie”! LOL
She lived a full life. She was so open. Never letting things get her down. She truly was always there for Faith. Giving her words of advice. Being there when Faith needed a shoulder to cry on. And helped her with Joey. She never judged Faith. Just gently nudged her in a certain direction.

Gabe-
Well he had a type A personality. Very uptight. Never letting anything get past him. Not flexible at all. So it went against everything in his soul to hire a woman like Faith. She crashed into his life. Shook it up. Made his perfect world unbalanced. She really brought the best out of him. She softened his hard edges. Took him out of his comfort zone. She was his "beautiful mess". He fought his feeling and tried to stay true to how he believed he should live his life. But... once Faith entered his life. Things could never go back to the way they were. But not only did Faith break down his walls. Joey did too! She had him wrapped around her little finger. She broke down so many walls. Had him thinking about things he never thought he would be thinking of.

I wish there was more at the end of this story. And maybe there will be with the niece?? (Hopefully!!) I just didn't want it to end. Faith and Joey definitely got their Disney story book ending!

"Yes, our love story had all the elements of the perfect fairy tale, but instead of a fairy godmother, we had a chain smoking, spitfire grandma who didn’t need a magic wand to create a happily ever after. Instead, she used her domineering stubborn ways to make it all come together perfectly…and I wouldn’t have it any other way."

You know when you're craving something like chocolate, chips or pretzels? Keeping The Faith totally satisfied what I needed!
What a sweet, fun, sizzling story that you sink into and absorb yourself in.
Man did I laugh and giggle during so many parts! Sylvia is a hoot and I'd LOVE to have her in my life.
Precious little Joey just absolutely shines in this story, she'll surely put a huge smile on your face while you read.
Faith is one amazing gal with lots on her plate. She's real, kind, a ray of light and was in need of confidence and self-esteem after she'd been beaten down emotionally by Joey's dad, Cole. She wears her heart on her sleeve. So caring to others and giving.
Gabe is HOT and needed to open his heart to let others in. A workaholic to avoid emotions. He needs to be able to enjoy each moment.
Put the 2 opposites together and you feel the connection, the chemistry and they just sizzle together!
Beth Rinyu did a phenomenal job in writing this story and these characters. I truly loved this story and didn't want it to end. Such a joy to read and it put a big smile on my face.
Reading is therapeutic and this story really delivers such a nice escape!
I very highly recommend you read! Get to know these characters and enjoy the ride.
Thank you Beth Rinyu for delivering such a well developed story where I was totally engrossed.

I absolutely loved this book. The main characters were great but really set it apart was the secondary characters. Normally children in romance novels are just an after thought but the little girl in this book was fantastic. The way Beth Rinyu built her cute yet sassy personality into the story was great! The grandmother was perfect! It was just a really well written contemporary romance!

For 85+% of this book I was in love, the last 15% or so, knocked the book down for me.

Faith got pregnant when she was 20. Dropped out of school, got 2 jobs so she could raise the best 'mistake' ever, her daughter, Joey. When she has a sex toy party for seniors, a request from one of her other job's clients [cleaning houses], this leads to fortuitous events.

Sylvia, the woman, hires her to clean her house, then when she learns Faith's friend want her to interview for a job she isn't qualified for she tells her to do it what could it hurt. Unknown to Faith the company is owned by Sylvia's grandson, Gabe.

Gabriel is a hard ass boss, a perfectionist, married to his job and his company. His one real relationship end because of it and in a bad way. When he meets Faith he is drawn to her for reasons he doesnt want to admit. When the top 2 interviewees withdraw there name, he is given a hint "by god?" to hire her and give her a chance. He will be pleasantly surprised there.

Working together and being so close bring his walls down brick by brick. When his past comes back it ruins everything.

THIS is where this book took a huge step down. Something major will happen to a huge secondary character to help to two get back together but it is treated so blase' that it took a lot away for me. I mean the person is close and loved by both Gabe and Faith and this occurrence to the character is like nothing really happened other then a little internal dialogue. Then when a secret is revealed soon after there was minimal reaction to the 'betrayal'.

It was a good read but i think 2 more chapters and this could easily be an all time fave. Faith is amazing and Gabe even with his walls and attitude was great and Joey is a little scene stealer, loved her.

This book really frustrated me in the beginning, while I was laughing. I really didn't like Cole, Faith's ex. He irked me to no end. I wanted to slap him most of the time. You really got to see Faith grow in this book. She didn't have much back bone and let her mother and best friend talk down to her and just be negative influences in her life.

This all started to change with the introduction of Sylvia, her 'fairy god mother'. Sylvia was probably one of the best side characters that I have read in a long time. Just freaking adored her scheming and manipulating in the background. She was hilarious and really made this story. I also fell in love with Joey, Faith's daughter. She was a hilarious and I loved her interaction with Mr. Gabe.

As Faith began her relationship, as an employee and friend, with Gabe you could really see her transform into a stronger woman and she began to stand up for herself because of the confidence he helped in still in her. Also, I'm sure that hanging with Sylvia instead of her negative friends also really helped her as well.

Gabe.. oh Gabe. This man, and the way he treated Joey really filled my heart up with pure joy. He loved her and treated her as if she was his own daughter and that is what every single mom longs for in a relationship.

If you have never read a story written by Beth, this would be a good one to start with, to begin the binge read. Because, her books are like Pringles, once you pop you won't want to stop reading her book. She just has a way of making these characters come alive that you will be engrossed in the stories and never want them to end.

These are my happily ever after novel thoughts.

Tampon angels, and cockring friendship bracelets

I came across this book by accident scrolling and looking for another book I intended to read. The cover is what actually grabbed me it just looked fun and adorable, and when I read the quick description I decided to take a chance and take the plunge. I'm happy to say it was way worth it! Omg I was cracking up so hard I couldn't breath I tell you. The shit this author was coming up with, Lord almighty it was brilliant. It did seem to get good, the slow down, but that was ok, it made me respect this love story even more. Sylvia was a hoot, god i love old ppl I tell ya, she just was out of control. Ok now let's get to faith, ugh this girl was taking shit like a punching bag and you just wanted to poison the assholes around her seriously. Gabe well, where does one begin with this mess of a man he was, lol. but you know how the old saying goes, can't help who we fall in love with and in this book it's told so beautifully. I will tell you i laughed so hard, and cried even harder, then fell in love with happiness. Great book Beth rinyu ...you are a riot.

ERIN'S REVIEW
5 STARS

This story kept my attention from start to finish. The storyline is incredible and flows effortlessly. The characters are all very well developed. Sylvia and Natalia kept me in tears from laughing so hard. Faith is an incredible person, taking on the full responsibility of raising her daughter, Joey, alone. Joey is absolutely adorable and will have you wrapped around her finger in no time. Gabe is a very serious, business first type of man. He has not time for relationships and being tied down. With a little help from his meddling grandmother, Sylvia, he comes to see exactly what he has been missing in his life. Faith and Joey. The relationship these three develop is beautiful and you will be just as invested in the outcome of their story as the characters are themselves. The only thing I thought was missing was the scene where Cole, Joey’s sperm donor, get a god-awful case of crotch rot. What a douche canoe! Definitely another homerun for Beth Rinyu.

5/5 Stars!!!

Oh my goodness! I loved Keepin' the Faith!

I don't want to say too much, because, while there is no real mystery here, too many details will spoil the book for you. So, I'll leave it to this...Faith is a single mom who gets hired to work for sexy, anti-love, never-wants-children Gabe. Sparks fly, but things don't really go like you would think. What ensues is hilarious, emotional, sexy, romantic and just plain fun.

I loved Gabe and Faith. Even though Gabe was infuriating at times, I still couldn't help but love him. Faith was strong and such a great mom and so realistic. I felt her insecurities and her hopes and dreams. I felt her frustration at Gabe. Joey, Faith's daughter is so much fun and then there is Sylvia, Faith's elderly almost best friend.

This was seriously so much fun to read and it will appeal to any fan of romance!

Adorable little 4.5 star read.

I've never heard of this author, so I had no idea what to expect. What I found was a heartwarming little romance with a cute kid and an even cuter grandmother to help things along.

I loved the storyline, all except for Joey's biological father. I can't imagine why someone so seemingly devoted to his kid would suddenly switch on a dime. It was the only point of contention of the story.

Finally, I read a story with a slow-building love. It was refreshing. It didn't really drag, and all the characters were entertaining.

Loved it!

I must say I was excited to read this after reading the blurb. I wasn't the biggest fan of Faith in the beginning. She let Cole just walk all over her and sweet talk his way into her house. I couldn't believe that at all! I like to call him the Peter Pan of college lol. He's one of those guys who will never grow up and take responsibility. I still couldn't believe she let him see Joey when he wasn't paying support. Anyway enough on that jerk. I loved Grandma Sylvia and so wanted more of her! She was a riot, you never knew what would come out of her mouth lol. I loved Gabe from the beginning. I know he was kinda a jerk but with the help of joey, he softened up and realized what was important in life. I loved what it took to finally get them together, that was hilarious and a little demented but it worked. This book was a fun, sexy and so hilarious at times. I enjoyed it!
