Ever wonder what goes on beyond the glitz, glamour, and dollar bills of a strip club? Only the strong can survive this game! Some make it out and some get swallowed up!
Once you read one short story, You've read them all
I was interested in reading this because I'm very interested in the dancing lifestyle. The nitty gritty doesn't get talked about a lot because all we see is glitz and glam. The story was written by a dancer(former dancer?) so I was interested in the first hand perspective. Maybe I expected differently, but the story was based on familiar topics and circumstances by several different women. However, after the first few, they all read the same and you knew what direction is was going. Some I felt like didn't even have a proper ending. I think had the focus been on fewer girls in the same club it could have really been fleshed out. There was also quite a few errors in spelling, extra words, and grammar. Way to much showing and not enough telling.
Hey Kenisha! My name is April Reese I'm from your hometown I'm practically family I went to school with your dad and I'm very close with your Aunt Jen and I also knew your mom so to see you writing this book makes me very proud and being the Avid Reader that I am it was very interesting to see things from a dancers point of view it makes you look at things differently as everybody has their own reasons for doing what they do it's not always about the money I love each and every story and didn't want the book to end I'm looking forward to reading future books from you great job keep up the good work
I couldn't even finish the book. I'm all down for a collection of short stories but let the short stories end. They all just fell off there was no conclusion to them like you had to guess what happened at the end. I tried to get through it and I just I couldn't do it anymore. Then there was too many grammatical errors and spelling errors it was just a hard read for me.
Proofreader ! Outside of that being necessary , it was a good quick read . Please don't diminish you
Proofreader was necessary ! Too many typos . Other than that , a good quick read . Please going forward , respect your readers . If we read , we expect proofreading , typos are unacceptable and diminish your message . Much success to you and others who participated in this endeavour .
I could not put this book down, to see the other side of the glitz and glam was a real eye opener. It can't have been easy to lay bare some of your inner turmoil and secrets and I commend them all for that. I would love if this became a series of book's. Well done Tip Drill
Kenosha has taken her time with this one! The book is so vividly detailed you can envision every aspect of it as you're reading it. It's like an entire mini series going on inside your head as you read each chapter. I'm praying she's able to convenience VH1 to turn this book into something like "Tales" on BET. I can't wait to see what comes from this....
I loved this book, because it's reality and like Tip Drill said at the end, everyone has a story to why their dancing. At the end of the day we all are humans and have made some bad choices. I enjoyed all the stories in this book.
I loved this book. The stories, characters, plot, etc was just well put together. Not only am I a fan of hers through tv and social media now I’m a fan through books.
I never been a dancer but some of each women story I can relate in some ways. Everyone handle things different . Only you have to do is live in your truth
I understand what each dancer going through. I could see some of things they was going through I could relate in ways. Every one handle things differently . You just have to hold to your truth.
The book is good but I would’ve took your last story and put it first to explain what I was reading and why. Other than that the stories was good but to interesting just for one chapter this one book could’ve made you 5 or 6 book easily.
