Protection Crisis is the perfect trademark of Rochelle Paige’s books: the perfect balance of sweet and steamy. Low angst, and a sure HEA/HFN that is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face, are the perfect finishing touch!
Kael is an absolutely perfect hero, protective, caring and smoking hot. Even before meeting Chloe, from the very moment he first takes a look at her photo, he is lost in her. She became his dream girl, that never once thought he would see, let alone seduce and conquer her heart!
“It was months before then, Chloe. I saw your face staring up at me from the cover of a magazine and that was it for me—I was fascinated.”
“You always seem to know the perfect thing to say.”
“Only with you.”
Chloe is such an adorable heroine. She couldn’t have be more distant from the diva type, so down to earth, and giving. Her hidden fragility was the perfect counterpart to Kael’s alpha protectiveness, but with a touch of delicious sass.
“There will be no going back from this for you and me. If you give yourself to me, I’m taking you. You’ll be mine, and I won’t be letting you go.”

This story was the PERFECT insta-love smutty read. Which I love dearly! The touch of adventure coupled with the romance and their sizzling chemistry rapture you from the very beginning, and before you even realized you just finished the book, and want to dive right into Rochelle’s next book! And after that hint of a teaser I can’t wait for Brody’s story! <3

This was a really short, and sweet story. Rochelle Paige gives her readers the perfect formula for an amazing romance. A celebrity who has a stalker, and an ex-Navy Seal who will do anything to protect her.
Kael & Chloe had a some intense heat but I didn't really find their insta-love connection that believable. It felt a bit forced I guess... towards the end it got a bit better but that is one of the main reasons this wasn't a 5 star read for me. Also I felt like we needed more sex! lol I think there was just a couple of scenes and I felt myself skimming over them... I am just full of contradictions today! :)

Rochelle Paige brings us another safe, sweet read.
Kael and Chloe are thrown together because her fame has gained her a stalker. Kael, a former navy seal, is asked to watch over Chloe as a favor to his grandfather's friend. (No hardship since he has had a "thing" for her since he saw her gracing a magazine cover while on a mission.) First, he has to find her. With the help of some of his Seal contacts, he sets out to find his girl.
Chloe, the furthest thing from a Hollywood diva, goes off the radar to avoid her stalker. She is hiding out in an out of the way hotel when Kael comes knocking.
-hot navy seal
-sweet down to earth heroine
-safe from cheating or ow/om drama
-instant attraction for both of them
-no pushing away
-a few steamy moments
-not a long enough epilogue
*I don't know if there will be other books in this series. I'm hoping since there wasn't enough of an epilogue. It was great to hear mention of Tex, from Susan Stoker's Seal of Protection series. It's a fave of mine.

This was a good read.
I would especially commend RP for writing a book more of a contemporary style as this had more story than sex- and I'm good with that.
Book starts with Kael getting hired to protect the gorgeous actress Chloe from a stalker.
How they meet, fall, get over the stalker issue and do it(that's almost at the last 1/4th of book) form the rest of the book.
This book is an introduction to another series and will be sure to check it out.
Safe read and really sweet.

Kael just left the Navy and visits his grandfather. His grandfather asks him to do some bodyguard work for his neighbors granddaughter. The granddaughter turns out to be none other than the actress he's been lusting after for months. And Chloe has herself a stalker.
When Chloe and Kael meet the Sparks start to fly. Their relationship moves very fast as they are spending 24 hours a day together. I was slightly surprised who the stalker turned out to be. It gets wrapped up quickly with an epilogue 6 months into the future.
I liked the story a lot but it wasn't my favorite of RP's books. There was just a little something missing for me. But still a good read worth the time.

I see Rochelle Paige on a book and I immediately want to dive in. This was just what I was needing. Kael and Chloe were like fireworks when they came together. From the first moment they met it was kindling and a match. Kael stole my heart when he said he'd not thought of another woman from first sight of Chloe in a magazine, not even in person. This is one suspenseful read and I seriously ate it up. I adore how faithful and loyal this authors characters are and I count the days till her next release.

DNF’d at this line…
“As insane as it sounded, watching him jack off was the most sensual experience of my life.”
The h went into hiding to escape a stalker. A man knocks on her motel room and knows who she is. Does she get scared? No. She lets him into the room. Yes, he claims to be there to protect her and we as readers know this but she doesn’t!
So they sit on the bed and he explains her grandmother sent him (which was about a paragraph long). Then they kiss. WTF?? He then asks if he can take a shower. Whilst he is in the shower she hears his phone buzz and wants to read the text but needs his password. So she walks into the bathroom, knowing he’s naked (a complete stranger), and sees him masturbating.
THEY HAD LITERALLY JUST MET!!
Seriously?! This stuff is genuinely unbelievable…and I read Alexa Riley so I know how ‘insta-love/lust’ works but this was the wrong way to do it.
I would have been able to understand this a bit better if they had known each other in the past and it was a second-chance romance but it just sounded so creepy considering they are strangers.
Random Ramblings:
•It’s starting to become a pet peeve of mine when heroines say things like “that only ever happens in a romance novel” – hello?! This is a romance novel!!
•I don’t understand how the H can be close friends with other SEALs but then have no idea that some of them are married…surely, they can’t be that close?
•This is going to sound strange but the story, at times, felt very ‘scripted’ and not very free-flowing

Wondering if seeing her in person will diminish what he’s imagined is wiped instantly when he meets her. She’s the reason for why he’s here.
Chloe has no clue the situation she finds herself in will lead to forever. But in Kael’s arms is where she belongs.
Steam factor is off the charts. No cheating just a guaranteed happily ever after!

Kael is home now and is visiting his Gramps, Niall. Kael is honestly at a loss as to his next move. He's recently, as in hasn't even received his separation papers yet, left his position as a Navy SEAL. Gramps offers up a solution...he knows a woman, Edith, whose granddaughter, Chloe, needs a bodyguard. When Kael finds out who it is, the woman he's felt an unexplained connection to since first seeing her on a magazine cover a few months ago, he knows there's no way he can resist helping her.
As for Chloe, she's in hiding. The most recent email, a very explicit one, terrified her and she knew she had to disappear for a while. Plus, the cops are limited with what they can do and the movie executives only see the potential dollar signs the situation could bring them, not the potential danger. She's just a small town, down to earth girl. She'd tried out for a play during college out of curiosity, nailed it, and was discovered by an agent from Hollywood, thus changing her plans to be an accountant, like her Dad. Holy schnikies on the way that went down, right?
Once Kael is able to track Chloe down, after being "introduced" to Tex (from Susan's SEAL of Protection Series, though he's liable to pop up in any series because he's Tex, he's everywhere) through a friend, he quickly explains who he is as he senses her fear that her stalker had found her. Chloe is intensely relieved to not be alone anymore in trying to stay safe from her stalker. She's also completely aware of how flipping hot her new bodyguard is.
Can Kael keep her safe? Who is stalking Chloe? Can Tex work his technical magic and help Kael figure out who the bad guy is? What about the immediate connection that's continually growing between Kael and Chloe? Will they get a chance to explore it? Or will Chloe's stalker do everything to make sure that doesn't happen? “Once a SEAL, always a SEAL,”
Sexy, Fun, Fast and Exciting. Protection Crisis had everything I look for in a steamy quick read. Part of Susan Stoker’s Kindle World, Protection Crisis has a crossover character from Susan’s series. I personally haven’t read her books yet but I am intrigued to try them out nor. I have, however, read many stories by Rochelle Paige and I really enjoy her style and stories and this novella was just as enjoyable as the others by her I have read. I do believe that Rochelle’s suspenseful stories with hot alpha men are truly where she shines.

Chloe was raised by her Grandmother in Indiana after her parents died. She was a Finance major in college but ended up in the school's production of Sabrina where someone from Hollywood saw her and wanted her for a movie. She's now Hollywood's most in demand actress, she's even won an Academy Award. Kael Stewart has just signed his retirement papers after being a Navy Seal for years. He's visiting his Grandpa who asks him for a favor. Chloe's Grandma and Kael's Grandpa both live in the same retirement community together and they're friends. Chloe has a stalker and he/she is escalating so Chloe has fled LA and is hiding out. Kael's Grandpa wants him to find her and keep her safe. This was a fast paced and entertaining book plus we get a visit from Blaine and Delia from Identity Crisis.

Received a copy. Protection Crisis is a short and fast read. Rochelle Paige brought Kael and Chloe to the pages and it was a page turner. Kael is ex-navy and Chloe has a stalker. These two characters take you on adventure. Kael is smoking hot, a protector and all alpha. Chloe has the sass but has fear to overcome from the stalker. This is an insta-love of two characters that are very much hot for each other. From the beginning Rochelle Paige doesn't hold back with Kael's character and it makes you fall for him fast. I enjoyed this short story and I love reading the words that Rochelle Paige brings to the table every time.

Kael & Chloe's story brings together two of my favorite worlds! I absolutely love crossover-type stories!! : ) This was a quick story full of insta-love, action & passion. Fabulous! : )

I have been on a Rochelle Paige streak for the past week, and when I came across Kael and Chloe Porter's story, I did not hesitate to one-click, as I knew I'd enjoy this one too, and yes, I definitely do!

Chloe is a new actress who is making it big really fast and that comes with a stalker. Kael is sent from his grandpa to find and protect her. Instalove at it's finest. alpha male who wants nothing but to protect and love Chloe. it's told in dual POV. It was a cute story with just a hint of suspense and I loved it!

As with all of the other novella's I've read from this author, I'm seeing a pattern. Super sweetheart, bad ass alpha male, love and a lot of heat! All things I'm loving! Kael and Chloe just fit together perfectly and they had a lot to their personal stories. I would have liked to know more about their background. Over all though..HOT!!! Quick, fun, sexy read! 4/5 stars!

This book is part of Susan Stoker's new Kindle World. I've never read her before, but I have read Rochelle Paige, and I'm a fan, so I dove right into this one.
Kael is barely out of the Navy when his Gramps asks him for a favor. Gramps' friend in the retirement home has a granddaughter that's in trouble. She's a famous actress who has a scary stalker, and she's gone on the run from him. Kael is familiar with Chloe's work and he's a big fan. He first saw her face on a magazine cover after coming back from a failed mission, and it comforted him. He's been keeping up with her career ever since. Of course, he agrees to try to help her.
Chloe is running from her crazy stalker. She's been getting scary texts and letters and strange gifts, and now that her movie shoot has ended, so did her security detail, which the stalker seems to know about. She's freaked out, so she runs. She thinks she did everything necessary to stay off the radar, but she wasn't counting on Kael.
Kael uses his Navy contacts to find Chloe. He shows up at her hotel in rural Oregon, and vows to protect her. There's definitely a lot of insta-lust happening between them, but Kael doesn't want to take advantage of her vulnerable state. However, intense situations force you into close proximity, and cause you to get to know someone much faster than would be normal if you were dating, and feelings get amplified by that.
I really liked both characters, and their chemistry was great. The identity of the stalker was in question right till the end, so the suspense aspect was good too. I really liked the communication between the 2 main characters, and how quickly they became an important part of each other's lives. Even though it was quick, it wasn't really that far out of the realm of possibility, given the situation they found themselves in.
There were some side characters in this story that really intrigued me, and I was so glad to discover that they have their own prior book by Rochelle Paige! I'll definitely be looking into reading that one ASAP! Overall I really enjoyed this story, and I'll be glad to read more from this author!

I absolutely love anything written by Rochelle Paige, and Protection Crisis was no different!
When I first found out about the Kindle Worlds of Susan Stoker books I was ecstatic! Then to see majority of my favorite authors writing these short novella just sealed my reading schedule for the next couple days =)
Chloe is the shy and down to Earth actress who has recently made a name for herself with her Oscar winning performance. But she's attracted the attention of someone who isn't just a fan, but a crazed stalker. With the latest message she's determined to hide out until (hopefully) he gets tired of trying to find her.
Kael is your Alpha male. He's a recently retired Seal, so you know that when it comes to protecting those he loves he'll do it 100% and with everything he has. He never expected the minute he got out he would be asked to protect Chloe Porter, THE CHLOE PORTER! From the moment he sets eyes on her he knows he has to have her!
**"I couldn't compete money-wise with guys like that, but I was the one who'd chased her halfway across the country when she was in trouble. I was the man who'd stand between her and danger, regardless of the risks to myself.**
This is a short novella and very much a sweet insta-love/insta-lust kind of read. I enjoy getting to go back and revisit some old character's from Stoker's finished book series!
