Retired Delta Force officer Brad Taylor’s thrilling new short story takes us back to before the Taskforce was created, revealing the origins of Israeli agents Aaron and Shoshana as they are tasked with eliminating a former Nazi officer hiding in plain sight.
Includes an exclusive preview of Brad Taylor’s eleventh Pike Logan thriller, Ring of Fire, coming December 27, 2016.
1998. A year after a disastrous mission in Amman, Jordan, Israeli operative Aaron Bergman and his Samson team feel more like outcasts than ever. Fearful that his team is about to be disbanded, Aaron is thrown another curve: a cast-off operative named Shoshana, who nobody in the Mossad trusts, and who all feel is a traitor. When the new commander of the Mossad summons them immediately after being sworn in, Aaron’s fears are confirmed. The team is cut free from the Mossad but not from serving their new leader.
Unsanctioned by the Israeli government, their mission is to assassinate a Nazi murderer from Auschwitz: a man who stood guard on the wall of death and has since escaped to Argentina, and who is running a lucrative business with his sons. When Aaron and Shoshana accept the mission, it sets them on a collision course with an active operation involving a reborn Nazi web intertwined with Iran, forcing the pair to trust each other as the evil they were tasked with destroying sets its sights on one last strike against Israel no one sees coming.

His final military post was as Assistant Professor of Military Science at The Citadel. He holds a master's of science in defense analysis with a concentration in irregular warfare from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
When not writing, Brad serves as a security consultant on asymmetric threats to various agencies. He currently lives in Charleston, SC, with his wife and two daughters.
In Brad Taylor short story The Target we learn about Aron and Soshana backstory. I love this short story. Aron and Soshana are two of my other fav characters beside Pike Jennifer. It was superb audiobook to listen to
Audiobook Review - This Brad Taylor short story takes place before the task force was formed and features the Mossad agents. It takes place in 1998. The Samson Team, Aaron Bergman and Daniel, are sent off to Argentina on an “unsanctioned” mission to assassinate a Nazi murderer from Auschwitz. A new team member has been assigned to the mission, Shoshana a disgraced female agent. Shoshana discovers a Nazi web interwoven with Iran that is planning a strike against Israel. To intervene Aaron and Daniel will need to trust Shoshana. Shoshana displays loyalty, endurance and skill. The story is well written and action packed. It is a two and a half hour short story so the pace is rapid. Erik Signer does a good job narrating.
What a great short story. Tells us about the history of these two Jewish fighters...Aaron and Shoshana. Very enlightening and a very good read. You don't need to read any of the other books to enjoy this short story.
This is the first time I have read a book by Brad Taylor. Several people have recommended his books to me. I thought I would use this short story to sample his writing. Taylor is a retired Delta Force Officer who writes military thrillers. This is book #10.5 in the Pike Logan Series.

I love these short stories that Brad Taylor writes. We find out some really interesting backstory that is related to the characters in the previous book. This time, it's the backstory for Aaron and Shoshana. I found it most interesting because we find out more about Aaron, who is a bit of an enigma in the full-length Pike Logan novels. Brad Taylor has great character development and the story is fully fleshed out, unlike some of the other short stories I've read by other authors. If you are a big fan of the Pike Logan series, it's well worth your time to read the short stories.

This is a very short novella by Brad Taylor, used to introduce the backstory of two Israeli operatives that evidently are players in later books in the Pike Logan series. The list I had used listed this book as the first one to read, and that is probably not correct. About two years ago I read "One Rough Man" and "The Dig," and was first introduced to Pike Logan. I have not ready since then, but have decided to get back into this series. I like the writing of Brad Taylor, the stories that he tells, and the characters as he unwinds them. I am looking forward to reading Taylor's books, and seeing these Israeli operatives introduced -- and how Pike Logan responds and reacts.
Not a long book but an interesting spy novel none the less.
Without giving too much away at it's core it is a secret Israel force hunts a down Nazi. While the list of characters is short it keeps the story moving and keeps your interest.
Good read overall if you are looking for a quick special ops novel.
This story answers questions raised in the series about how the relationship between Aaron and Shoshone came about. It also provides more history on the Israeli conflicts.
This is a short book. I liked it. The start of the side characters Aaron and Shoshoanna. The beginning of their working relationship and the hunt for Nazi bad guys is always a good read. No Pike Logan or team.
This is a short story compared to the other books. This story is based upon the small team that’s been helping Pike and Jen. This is how their small team started and how the woman got onto the team.
First book by this author. Tough subject, sometimes difficult to read, and extremely unlikely to play out irl as presented here. Yet a strong tale with plenty of objectively verifiable real-world events, even if the details involve a bit of fantasy.
A very good short e-book by Taylor which shows how Israeli Mossad officer, Aaron and Shoshanna came to be paired together and their first mission tracking an ex-Nazi in Argentina.
Good story, but it's too short. Seems as more authors are writing these standalone short stories. This one filled a gap in the history of the Israeli team members.
Another great story from Brad Taylor. Loved the David and Shoshana characters from previous books. I'm hoping he will write a stand alone book with these characters.
I enjoyed it, I do like these characters. The only thing he seem to make her even more psychic. Before she could read people, but it seems like he made her more psychic.
