I absolutely loved this book. It's book two in the Breaking Free Series BUT it is a stand alone for sure. The friends are all mentioned and we interact with them but this story is all Bentley (Bents) and Alyssa's (Aly). Aly is with a verbally and neglectful boyfriend for far too many years but she's loyal and they have ties she's not willing to give up just yet. Bentley is the man who sees her worth and loves her for them and her cute little imperfections. When they share a house together, it becomes clear they are meant to be together but Aly still has some things to work out. Throughout the book I kept wanting to move in and hang out with them. The characters are well developed and very likable, even the evil ex-boyfriend, we come to see as just a broken human. If you have not read Finding Home, Book 1 in the Breaking Free series do yourself a favor and get that first then come back and read Finding Peace because in the next book, I'm hoping to hear all about Lexi and no one should miss out on her adventures. I'm in book hangover and it's been a week, I'm imaging Aly is baking something wonderful for Bents right about now while he lovingly sings to her.

I loved this book.
Bentley is in the friend zone while Aly is with Mike, aka "The Tool".
Aly and Mike don't have the best of relationships and after so many rows Aly moves into Bentley's other apartment to see if she can salvage her relationship with Mike.
Bentley has a "thing" for Aly, which is under wraps while she's with another man.
So we have an attraction between Bentley and Aly that has to be kindled and what a pleasure it is to read about.
We also catch up on all their friends that we met in the first book.

Finding Peace was absolutely amazing. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC OF this amazing book. Becca Taylor has yet to disappoint me in both of her books in this series.
This book is the 2nd book of the series and it was absolutely magnificent !!
Bentley and Allyson are a couple that you can't help but to love and hate all in the same motions.
I screamed and yelled, I cried and sobbed, but most importantly there story is so true to life that it filled my heart with butterflies as there story grew into something so beautiful even with everything they went through.
The thing I loved most about this book is the fact that this is what happens in real life. Things set you back and good things are or can be right in front of your face the entire time. Becca's writing is so clear. You never have to wonder who's pov that the words are coming from.
I highly recommend this book and this series to anyone who loves the real life love. And let's not forget the hot steamy parts as well!

Alyssa's eleven year relationship with Mike is getting worse. He is emotionally abusive. She decides to move out and hopes it will give him incentive to improve. She rents an apartment from her friend Bentley, who secretly loves her. Mike's attitude doesn't improve and a physical element increases, causing her friends to fear for her safety. She breaks with Mike but when they meet to finalize the sale of some land they jointly own, he gets physical. She makes the final break and gets a restraining order against him. Meanwhile Bentley has begun trying to show her he wants to be more than a friend. Their relationship blossoms and a happily ever after occurs. OK plot but this group of friends is one drinking, partying, sexy bunch. And we must remember anything Aly and Bentley do is as friends, not crossing the line until Aly is free. Sorry this lifestyle was not acceptable. The story tells us one thing and shows another.

This series is built on an amazing premise, that finding love is possible even when it takes you what seems forever to get there. Throughout Bentley and Aly's story, we get to throw our kindles when neither of them just take the plunge, but eventually we are rewarded for our patience, resulting in a sweet, romantic, and incredibly hot story of mistakes, self discovery, and new beginnings. Yet another couple in this group of friends gets their HEA, and I giggled, yelled, cheered, and was left all warm and fuzzy. Can't wait for more!

Alyssa and Bentley are probably my favorites so far in the Breaking Free Series by Becca Taylor. Finding Peace is a sweet story that shows through heartache there may be a silver lining if you only give yourself the chance to heal and allow someone to love you. Bentley is the knight in shining book boyfriend of your dreams!

I'm seeing a pattern with this authors work. In the first book the heroin has issues with her ex. Then in this book you find Aly is dating Mike for 11 yrs. He does the exact same thing to Aly that was happening to Kat in the first book. Puts her down, neglects her and lets her know repeatedly that she isn't good enough. To help their relationship Aly decides to move out to give them space. She ends up renting off a Bentley who has had a crush on her from the first moment he saw her, not realizing she was taken.
While Aly keeps breaking up and getting back together with Mike she starts to realize she is seeing Bentley in a new light. When Mike one last time storms off she makes a pass at Bentley. He knows she is reacting to her recent breakup. It's not long after that when they become a couple but of course a moment that Aly has to see Mike gets out of hand and Bentley thinks it is more than what it is and of course just like in the first book assumes the worst and takes off.
These books are so similar and I know that the next book in the series, just from what happens in the first 2 books you know Hunter keeps breaking up and getting back with his girlfriend. They are a easy read and a good story but repeat issues. Couples face many different things in a relationship that you don't have to have all of your characters facing the exact same problems.

I’m so glad Aly and Bentley got their own story in Becca Taylor’s Finding Peace; Breaking Free Series Book two!! You’d be doing yourself a huge disservice if you don’t check out Finding Home (book one in the series) although it’s not necessary; Kat and Caleb’s story is also five star quality!!
The love triangle of Mike, Aly, and Bentley is intense and filled with drama. Roommates becoming friends...becoming more. Is it possible for any of the three to survive with their hearts in tack? With the same characters returning, the women in this click will have you in stitches!! Best line ever...”Do you work for Fed Ex because I’d like to receive your package?” An amazing must read!! I’m so ready to get lost in Lexi and Hunter’s story, Finding Reason!

Bentley and Aly. Aly has been with her boyfriend for a long time. He moved in with her and it did not get better. She decides to move out thinking that might make their relationship better. Her new friend, Bentley has a duplex and offers her the other half. She accepts. This did not seem to help Aly and her boyfriend. And to make matters worse, Brantley and Aly get along great and do a lot of things together. This does not make her boyfriend happy. Not only that but Brantley is having feelings for Aly and trying to keep them under wraps. The big pickle is that Ally’s boyfriend is getting angry all the time and yells constantly. These two are on again and off again. Sounds like a bomb ready to go off. Will Brantley be there for her? Does he want to be? Will Aly see how harmful her boyfriend can be? Guess a lot of questions need answering! Good luck!

This is the second book in the series and I felt the author did an awesome job. I wasn’t the best guest fan of the first book but I think the author did a lot better and was finding her voice in that book. The characters were complex and the story was addictive. There is a slow burn but at a fast pace if that makes sense. I really liked Bentley and Aly. They were both complex but easy to get a read on. I loved seeing all the characters from the last book and their interactions with each other. Full of laughter and sadness this book is perfect for fans of friends to lovers reads. The author did an awesome job with some touchy subject matter. I can’t wait to read the next one. 4 Stars #2OCCJD

I love this So much!!! I adore Alyssa and her resilience. I was mad with her and sad. then mad at her foe staying with the tool but swooned at the mention of Bentley!!! (swooning) Bentley... now that's a man after my heart. Sweet talking, shoulder to cry on, friend to pick you up... yes indeed. I loved seeing Alyssa grow out of her shell that Mike had shoved her in. I cried and laughed loved and swooned. I loved this so much and loved it more as I continued to see characters from book one continue their story. Definitely left me wanting more of them all and cannot wait to read book 3!!!

She wont let go of a relationship long dead hoping beyond hope that it will work out. He sits in the wings waiting for her to get a clue and leave the guy she is with. While he plays a waiting game he is also making himself a part of her life in a real way. The she does gets old, and is the only drag or downside to me about the story although I love that they take the time to grow into their love for each other. I love that even though he is instantly hooked that the author lets them have a friendship first. Great read I love this group of friends and the way this writer makes it all happen.

This is Aly and Bentley’s story, if you read book 1 then you know who they are. Aly has a boyfriend Mike, they have been together 11 years. Bentley is pretty much a bachelor. But when he sees Aly something changes and he wants to be with her. The only problem her Jerk of a boyfriend. I loved the story but I also hated the story. I hated how Mike treated her and how much of a jerk he was. But Bentley is a dream. He’s what every man should be. Definitely can’t wait to read book 3. Hunter’s story is going to be interesting!

Alyssa and Bentley’s story was sweet. He’s a sweet guy. She was unavailable for part of the book because she was with a guy who just wasn’t very nice. I mean I can see where he was jealous of Bentley but it sure doesn’t make him nice. But the thing with the ex came to an end before the book ended and it kind of felt like it fell off after the tension with him was gone. It was still a god read and I would read another in the series.

There's nothing harder than letting go of a worn out relationship. Alyssa's boyfriend has changed over the years and neither of them sees that clearly. Then Aly meets Bentley. They are everything each other needs but Aly can't see that yet. I loved Aly and Bents story and the epilogue was perfection!

Oh my.....

I just floved this book!!!! What a brilliantly written book. The circumstances are so real. Bentley oh my gosh these characters and guys just get better with each book. Just really floved it. Finding Peace is the second book in the Breaking Free series and I really enjoyed the way that this story was written. It was written well with the storyline enjoyable from start to finish. I found the characters to be extremely enjoyable and I really loved the relationship between the two main characters.

Book 2

I complained about the grammar issues in the first book, however there was far fewer in this story.
We met Bentley and Ally in book 1, this story happens around the same time frame, however the author didn't repeat it all over again.
The situation with Mike comes to a head, but gets resolved. While Bentley and Ally get their hea.

Its a very heartwarming story toward the end. The beginning and middle are a little concerning with the treatments Ally gets from her then 11 year relationship. But as they say, he finally showed his true colors and enough was enough. She finds love, friendship , and the man of her dreams. Loved it . Good stiry.

You met Aly in book 1 and couldn’t help but feel for her. Her partner is a knobhead and she knows she needs to make some changes. These changes end up being bigger than even she planned.

So freaking good

This was such a great book to read. I love love love the characters and their chemistry and their interactions and their storyline. It was good from beginning to end. I only wished it was longer to read. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
