4.5 stars!!

“…sometimes, the toughest fight of your life is outside the cage.”

For a debut novel I was seriously blown away, this author has a lot of talent coming out of her pinkies. I didn’t even realise that this was a debut novel until I went back to look at what they had written before and couldn’t find a thing. This read was as a result of a trawl through Amazon as I do from time to time looking for something to catch my eye and it was the synopsis on this that called to me.

I love my emotional reads and it was that I was jonesing for in my search and I picked a blinder of a read, I hit pay dirt. Yes, it is emotional, yes it will tug at every single heart string, yes, it is heart breaking but this book has a great underlying message, actually has quite a few and it was this that resonated the most with me at the end. But also, this was a great romance, a bad boy MMA fighter and a woman with a heart of gold. This was a book that stayed with me for quite a few days, kids that make an impression always seem to leave an indelible mark and I was well and truly marked after Undisputed.

“I didn’t need more. I just needed you.”

Breccan is an MMA fighter, he has let the fame and fortune go to his head and is on the path to self-destruction. Alcohol and women being his biggest downfalls. Breccan was insanely talented, all he really had to do was turn up to win, but as his downward spiral got fiercer and fiercer, fights he would have easily won, became that little bit tougher. His head was just not in the game. As a punishment for another mess he created that is only hampering his reputation his manager insists that he does something to repair the damage and when a seriously ill boy wants to meet his hero, his manager insists he does it, much to his chagrin.

“One time, my friend Tommy asked me if I was sad I didn’t have a dad. I didn’t even have to think about it. I may not have had a dad, but I had an aunt, and she was better than any dad could ever be.”

Sidney was the aunt of Connor, a terminally ill boy that was on the transplant list. Her sister was a high flying journalist that was always out of the country interviewing politicians and so it was left to Sidney to make sure that Connor had everything he needed. Sidney had basically put her life on the back burner to care for the most important person in her life and Connor was her person. These two had such a tight relationship and AS Teague really hammered this home. These two were more like mother and son and when presented with Connor being able to Make a Wish, he wished to meet his idol and so Sidney puts the wheels in motion and is stunned when Breccan appears on their doorstep.

“She says the world deserves to know the truth and that someone has to be the person to deliver the answers.”

It is this meeting that changes Breccan’s life in more ways than one. Breccan had actually met Sidney on a night out once before and while he had made a lasting impression it was for all the wrong reasons; Sidney couldn’t believe it was the same man standing on her doorstep. Unbeknown to both of them though, they had both been in each other’s thoughts but it doesn’t help that Breccan doesn’t seem to recognise her either.

“This isn’t a fucking romance novel, Sid. He’s not coming after you.”

Herein starts one of the most beautiful friendships and not where you think either. Connor and Breccan get on like a house and fire and Connor really does a number on Breccan’s heart. Connor was whip smart, incredibly honest and just a really cute kid and his outlook on life humbled Breccan. Breccan became incredibly close to Connor and it is here that we see the real Breccan. Breccan had a heart of gold underneath that cocky arrogant façade, it just took a kid to uncover it. Breccan goes all out, not only to give Connor anything and everything he needs but to also win the heart of his incredibly hot aunt.

“I’ve never felt this way about another person before, and I’m fumbling around like a kid trying to cop his first feel in the dark.”

This was a truly beautiful story. Captivating from the start and totally unputdownable. Sidney, Breccan and Connor’s journey is not without its downs, but it has a lot of ups too. This was an honest book, every emotion was evoked easily by the author, from the smiles and laughter to the torrent of tears. But most of all, this was unforgettable and I cannot wait to see what comes next from this author.

I feel like I'm being generous withe the 2.5 stars I'm giving this book.

I'd heard really good things, and with this being a debut, I thought, I definitely want to give this a shot. I just...I feel very let down.

First off, the story started good with it's first chapter. A doctor's office, having our h, Sidney, stressing over issues with her nephew while trying to control her anger at her sister and nephew's mother, Abby. I thought okay, this sounds good. I can understand the frustration, the helplessness and had hope. And then we meet our H, Breccan a.k.a Brecs. I get it. He's a big shot MMA fighter but I feel this cliche is played out times a million. I am honestly over the manwhore theme. Especially since so often in these stories, the girl is either a virgin, has had sex but not slept with more than one or two guys, or she's going through a dry spell. Why? I don't want a manwhore in real life, I'm not real big on reading about one either.

I'm sure I'm the minority, especially since the stories are so popular, but yeah, I'm over it.

Our couple meets under unusual circumstances that was different if a little unbelievable. No one crawls on the floor at a club expecting to find an outlet. And though it wasn't instalove, it was a little ridiculous how smitten Brecs was with Sidney upon seeing her. It got even more ridiculous when they were having a drink to celebrate her birthday and her coworker tried to stake his claim. Which led to Brecs being thrown out of the club and his trainer being mad at him. Of course none of this, not getting yelled out, having yet another knock against his reputation, or even his instalust toward Sidney could make Brecs change his ways.

Which brings us back to Brecs and Sidney crossing paths again. Because of her nephew, and the make-a-wish foundation, our couple meet-up again. Sidney, though she was disturbed by Brecs behavior at the club, is still thinking about him and how she'll never see him again. Until all of a sudden there he is. I think some of my favorite parts of this story were the parts with Connor and Brecs and Sidney, specifically Connor and Brecs. It was nice seeing Brecs softer, less lustfilled.

I don't really feel like Sidney and Brecs developed all that great. Like I said, I liked when the three of them were together, or when they were talking about Connor. But together I felt like they fell flat. Especially since Brecs acted like a child and Sidney was just too overwhelmed most of the time for a real relationship to take shape. I get it, he'd never had a real relationship before, but he was just really douchey until the end.

Sidney: She was okay. She let stuff go that she shouldn't have, like with the coworker. She let Abby abandon her and Connor for her job all the time and when the explanation came, it was so pathetic to me that I wanted to shake Sidney for letting it go! I loved her relationship with her nephew and it took to the end of the book for me to feel any real connection between her and Brecs.

Brecs: I just don't know. He didn't start off all that great. And he acted very immature for a really big part of the book. The only times I liked him was with Connor and I didn't really feel his connection to Sidney. I felt bad for his friend, Tripp, having to deal with him. And that one part in the book where he introduces Sidney to Rebecca, I had to read it twice because I was just astounded by his behavior. He knows how it sounds, how bad it looks, and he still pulls the stunt. It really did take till the end of the story, where everything went down with Connor before I liked Brecs overall.

Secondary characters: Abby irritated me to no end. She was selfish and the explanation she gave for her behavior...no. Tripp was great for what he had to put up with. He didn't get a fair ride and definitely needs a better best friend. I loved Connor and how he seemed like a real kid. He got me to like Breccan after all!

The ending...I'm torn on. It was handled well with and how that whole process goes. I especially loved how Brecs handled it. It affected him. He was thinking of someone other than himself and it seemed genuine. I did not like the way Sidney dealt with it and those around her. While her emotions toward Abby I felt were justified, the way she was with Brecs was a turn off.

And the epilogue, well I'm glad it was a bit into the future. And I liked how Brecs stuck to his guns and changed his life. The bucket list was a nice touch too. I still had trouble with the story overall though. I skimmed some parts, got really irritated with others, and just...was left disappointed. It started so strong with that first chapter and I feel cheated out of what it could have been.

I know it sounds like I ragged nonstop about this book, and I'm sure many others can overlook what I didn't like and enjoy it. But to me, it was just not worth my time and I'm glad I got it off my KU subscription.

This was a fabulous debut from A.S. Teague. When I looked at the cover I thought the story would be focused very much on MMA fighting. I was positively surprised. This story was all about the characters Sidney, Breccan and Connor.

I had a difficult time with Breccan to begin with but that was only because of his reckless behavior. When he met Sidney and Connor that slowly started to change. After that he definitely grew on me and showed his true potential. Also Sidney gave him the possibility to shine. He manned up and was there for Sidney and her family when it was needed.
Sidney was a fantastic character. I really liked her determination and her love for her nephew Connor as if he was her own son. Her awkwardness towards Breccan was hilarious and it was so good to see, that even a strong and in control woman like Sidney could get flustered by him.
Their growing friendship was wonderfully written and how it slowly grew into a relationship was done seamlessly.
Breccan's friendship with Connor, Tripp and Rebecca was a highlight too. These secondary characters gave more layers to the main characters.

This story was so much more than a sports romance. It's was about people, family and how a chance meeting can change everything. A beautiful debut.

I really should have declared this book a DNF in the beginning. In the first 10% of this book the "hero" wakes up in bed with 3 naked women. He had little recollection of the previous night and this seemed to be the norm for him. He even comments about one of the women's nice big fake boobs, and recalls how great one of them gave a blow job. He was just disgusting. His character throughout the book repulsed me. He was a binge drinking, fight starting, man whore who cared about no one but himself. Then he meets the sweet heroine. Hell, even their first meeting (as well as their later meeting through Make a Wish Foundation.................which he didn’t even remember her from their first meeting) was so cliché. The aunt whose caring for her sick nephew. Every single thing about this book was so lame. The characters had a cardboard like feel to them. I don’t recall one single character in this book feeling like a realistic or genuine person. The storyline and plot is so predictable from beginning to end. The high reviews for this book blow my mind. The only good thing I can say about this book is that it was well edited and it was offered as a kindleunlimited.

Undisputed was the debut book by A.S. Teague. It was the start of the Undisputed series and the first book I’ve read by Teague, but it definitely won’t be the last.

Sydney O’Neil was an accountant and aunt to a cancer patient. Although her sister was a part of the picture, Sydney had a major care taker role with her twelve year old nephew, Connor. Her entire life, outside of her job, revolved around Connor.

Breccan “Brec” Carlisle was the MMA light heavyweight champion of the world. He had never lost a fight. It was his true love and passion. He was cocky, arrogant and manwhoreish. In the beginning, there wasn’t a lot to like about Brec, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching him develop into the man he was destined to be.

Sydney and Brec were drawn together through Sydney’s nephew’s Make A Wish request. He wanted to meet KO, aka Brec Carlisle. Teague then took us through the very emotional story of their relationship building, Connor’s illness and Brec’s fighting responsibilities.

Undisputed was told in a dual POV. It was well written, well developed and was filled with depth, dimension and complexity. Teague also introduced a great supporting cast of characters, some of which we will see again. The only major drawback was the editing errors that were sprinkled throughout.

Teague took us through some tough circumstances, but ultimately it was an emotional journey of healing and love. Unraveled is up next, featuring Rebecca and Ryker.

I went into this story expecting your average fighter romance with whatever spin this author was going to put on it. While the hero is a fighter and there is some fighting, this is in no way a typical fighter romance. I was really taken by surprise by this book; the level of emotion I felt while reading staggered me. The feels that Teague dished out here were as gut wrenching as they were uplifting and inspiring. I ran the gamut experiencing them, from laughter to tears, and she definitely ran me through the wringer a time or two. No emotion felt forced, nothing ever felt contrite; oh, on the contrary, this book was shockingly, devastatingly genuine. Poignant moments, painful moments, passionate moments, they’re all here, delivered with a depth of detail that made the scenes vivid and realistic.

As difficult as the plot surrounding the nephew was, the romance between Sidney and Breccan was easy. These two had chemistry that leapt off the page through Teague’s words. There was a totally swoon-worthy and romantic love story here, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the tough, bad boy fighter, Breccan, stumble his way through his emotions, realizations and his first relationship. Without question, this very sexy, very sweet romance was as heart-warming as it was heated. This was a couple that I couldn’t help but root for, whose stories and lives I couldn’t stop myself from getting caught up in, and it’s a testament to Teague’s writing how immersed in this whole story I became.

I’m not going to lie, some of what is dealt with here is hard—emotionally—to get through. I was stunned at the depth pain I felt and how devastated I was. I felt it all here, the loss, the anger, the frustration, the love and so many other emotions that I just truly wasn’t prepared to feel in a supposedly simple fighter romance. That’s the key, though: this is no simple fighter romance, so let go of what you think you know of fighter romances and read this book. Undisputed was beyond what I expected, it was fabulously executed, and it is definitely not a story I will soon forget.
I have to say, I’m very impressed. This book was so well written, so richly developed and thoughtful, I had to remind myself that this was AS Teague’s debut novel. This author’s talent is obvious on every page, in every word, and if this is the caliber of writing I can expect from her, then she can absolutely count me as a fan. I highly recommend AS Teague’s Undisputed, and it gets 5 smooches from me.

Okay, did I understand this right? A DEBUT novel? Just WOW! I am speechless. Undisputed is simply phenomenal. This story definitely slayed me – utterly heart-breaking, emotional, and touching…Cries…

Breccan is the undisputed MMA light heavy weight champion. He is a playboy, sexy, popular with the women. He fights hard and fuck harder after. Breccan does not do relationship at all. Lately, Breccan has been spiraling out of control with partying and drinking. On a typical night out at a club, Breccan met Sidney. She was on a rare night off celebrating her birthday. Sidney is a beautiful red-head, funny, corky and with a smart mouth. They hit if off right away but Breccan was tipsy and by the end of the night he blew it.

Fast forward several weeks, Sidney has returned to her everyday life looking after her terminally ill nephew. Although the hot man was not far from her mind, Sidney does not think she will ever see him again. Meanwhile, the mess Breccan left at the club made for bad press and required major damage control before his next big fight. So, after some heavy dose of convincing from Breccan’s camp, he reluctantly agreed to meet with a certain nephew to fulfill the kid’s make-a-wish. Little did Breccan know, a supposedly one-time visit with Connor changed the course of his life forever.

And so, Breccan and Sidney crossed path again. This time, Breccan is supposed to show Connor a good time but he can’t help but has eyes for Connor’s beautiful aunt too. This part of the story going forward really melted my heart. Breccan turned out to be an incredibly sweet guy, genuine, and with a heart of gold. He is not perfect by any mean but he is definitely SWOONY. Sidney is sweet and caring. I really admire her strength and determination. She made sacrifices in order to take care of Connor. She tries to be strong and independent but while she is taking care of everyone, who is taking care of her? My heart really breaks for the two of them.

I have to say I am addicted to the author’s writing. Debut or not, this book is well written. I was hooked to the plot and the characters right away. Every turn of events flowed smoothly from beginning until the end. There was not a single moment in the book that lost my interest. I love how Breccan and Sidney’s relationship grows slowly over time even though the attraction and chemistry was present early on. Their relationship is just sensual, sweet and beautiful.

But, this book isn’t just about a love story. A big part of this book is about Connor. Connor is sweet, funny, smart, honest - a typical kid with the love for sports and fast cars. He suffers terribly at such a young age. This part of the book was especially hard for me to read (there is a reason why I am not a pediatric nurse – I simply cannot deal with children suffering). Without spoiling the story for you I am only going to say that prepare your heart because it will be shattered.

Final thought - Undisputed is a MUST READ! This is a beautiful love story between a man and a woman, a love for family, a journey of one’s redemption, friendship, heart-break, healing and finding happiness. The story is emotional, heart-warming, bittersweet but not lacking a bit of humor, angst and sexiness.

Plot, characters and beautiful writing = 5 astonishing stars.

I am 100% looking forward to A.S. Teague next book!!!!! Give this a chance. I loved it and I hope you will too.

4.0 "HEARTBREAKING" STARS!!!

Undisputed by A.S Teague is one of those books that made me sobbed so hard unexpectedly. Because let's face it, some of us really are a whore for reading fighter books. We usually anticipate for alpha, cocky, hot and over the top fighters and a romance to swoon for a lifetime coupled with scorching hot scenes, issues that are angsty and all that then tada best fighter romance ever. And really there are times I'm one of them. But hell no, the story I just finished reading turned out to be something more I did not expect.

First few pages and I was hooked. I had so much fun reading it and as it progresses I am still enjoying every moment. To be honest there was a time I feel like the story dragged a bit but then it picks up and then there I just lost it!i really could not tell you more of what's goin' on with the book so as not to spoil you. The blurb sums up what to expect but I tell you this, it is so much more. I never even realize I was sobbing until words get blurry that I realized my eyes were leaking. The romance book I thought what it was turned out to be so heart breaking. I may have been fixed again but I just can't explain how I felt as I read words per words..lines per lines and I just thought, hell it may not feel close to home but I am reading it with so much hurt I feel the pain and I really ached for them.

The story is really good. At some point it feels like you'll gonna be bored because you wanted something different and you were looking for something only and only Breccan and Sidney's story but to tell you, the growth of both the leads has something to do with the secondary character - Connor. Connor who is so strong and full of life despite what went through. I know for sure you'll gonna love him. I so adore this kid and his interactions to the characters just brought a substance t the story. I may have sobbed so hard, but I cannot deny the fact I even laughed and chuckled too. Really, one click this book. This may not be for you as it may feel close to home but take a chance to experience a journey so emotional but full of love and even life.

And yes really,
"Sometimes, the toughest fight of your life is outside the cage. "

Wow!

I'm emotionally drained, that was so good. Not at all what I expected which was a fighter playboy type character who finds the right girl and settles down.

Undesputed it all the above and so much more.

Told in the dual pov's of Sydney and Breccan you are taken on a heartwarming, emotional, heartbreaking, humeros journey with great characters.

There's no heavy drama or hidden emotional pasts, undesputed focuses on the present and it's a beautiful story.

A.S Teague had my emotions all over the place and it was so well balanced throughout. My first book by this author but it won't be my last & I am gobsmacked this is a debut, where have you been?

Breccan, what can I say only swoon, another bbf on my shelf.

An ideal lock yourself away and absorb read, recommended.

I think Undisputed is a decent debut for A.S. Teague. I had a hard time with liking Brecs character. While I enjoy a story with a manwhore that starts to change his ways Brec wasn’t very likable. I think my favorite parts of the story were with Sidney’s nephew Connor. I really enjoyed the three of them together but Sidney and Brec together didn’t do much for me. Again I think a lot of this had to do with Brec’s immaturity. Abby was a horrible mother and it was sad that she got away with hiding as long as she did. It made it hard to sympathize with her character because it took her so long to wake up. While I was sad on the outcome with Connor I did like how Brec handled this situation. It finally showed his growth and how deeply he cared.

I would give another book by this author to see how she grows with future novels.

5 Unequivocally Phenomenal Stars!!!

Let me first start off with how I cannot believe this is a debut novel for this amazing author. I had no idea when I opened this book that gave me ALL THE FEELS that this was a first book by Ms. Teague. This is the story of Breccan and Sidney and how the theory of opposites attract is very true. These two couldn't be more different from each other!

Breccan is a champion MMA fighter that works hard but parties just as hard if not harder. His growing up years were not the best and if not for his best friends Tripp and Rebecca's parents he wouldn't have any example of what true love really looks like. Sidney on the other hand grew up in a loving family with her brother and sister Abby. Sidney lives with Abby and her 12 year old son, Connor who is not a normal 12 year old.

When these two meet for the first time it's quite memorable for Sidney, not so much for our boy Breccan. She's undoubtedly a beautiful woman, but not necessarily the type of girl he goes for given his lifestyle. She's out with some friends celebrating her birthday and he literally almost steps on her while she's looking for a place to charge her phone...

I loved how Sidney wanted to explore the attraction she felt for him, but given what her life is about right now, that's not possible... but it doesn't stop her from thinking about him. I think we've all been there when we meet someone but aren't able to explore it at that exact moment... but that doesn't mean there isn't a chance in the future to explore those feelings and that future happens for Sidney when Brec comes into her nephews life. Brec feels something for Sidney, but unfortunately, he doesn't remember her which made me laugh with her irritation. And Brec doesn't do a good job of hiding his interest either....
"Are you touching yourself? While staring at my a$$?"
I was rolling during this part of the book. He's just such an alpha male and she doesn't know what to do with him. He's used to getting any woman he wants and to have a woman NOT be falling at his feet is such a new feeling for him. I absolutely fell in love with Brec when he started to understand that Sidney isn't like all these other women and just maybe, there could be more....
"But standing here, watching Sidney take joy in a mixed bouquet of flowers, is making me second-guess everything I thought I knew about my lifestyle. Maybe I can have what Tripp's parents have. But, more than that, maybe that's exactly what I want."
The more time Brec spends with Connor changes him and all for the good. These two brought each other something they were both missing and watching their relationship grow was so beautifully written. Ms. Teague nailed it on the head on how these two grew to mean so much to each other. The fact that Connor wants his Aunt Siddy to be happy and basically becomes "the man of the house" when Brec picks her up for their first date was so endearing. And when the date was over, oh my...

I mean really!!!! Such a turning point in their relationship and for all the right reasons. Brec becomes a better man when this 12 year-old little boy comes into his life and what was supposed to be a one-time visit, becomes so much more...
"I am an amazing fighter because I've spent years figuring out what to expect in every possible situation. Every hold. Every move. Every angle. But I never expected Sidney....And, somehow, everything I've ever needed."
As their relationship grows, there are events in their life that will try them both as a couple and as individuals. There are some very poignant moments that brought tears to my eyes....
"I didn't need more. I just needed you."
This is the part of the book that had me squirming in my seat because I knew something was going to happen, but I didn't know what that was going to be. I was NOT prepared for when another critical point in this book is reached. I literally sat there with my mouth wide open. Again, the beauty and grace of Ms. Teague's words made it possible for me make my way through the end of the book.

I'm going to stop here because to go on would just cause me to spoil something for you and I'm wholly opposed to giving spoilers in reviews. I will leave you with this. This is a MUST READ book by a new author that I will now be stalking in a hopefully not so creepy way because I need to get my hands on ALL her words.

Thank you Ms. Teague for the privilege of reading this prior to release

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I know there’s a lot of people hesitant about reading debut books lately. Me included. What if you don’t connect? Is this going to be any good? But this book? It doesn’t read like a debut. The heart and soul of this story and its characters are echoed through the powerful words of this book.

Breccan Carlisle is an undisputed MMA light heavyweight champ. He has it all. Money. Women. Fame. But something is missing. Sidney O’Neil is a dedicated sister and aunt to her very sick nephew, Connor. Her life consists of work and making sure Connor has all he needs as she is his primary care giver when her sister travels for work. And it happens often. One night Breccan and Sidney meet. By chance. She is not his type, but they hit it off immediately. Then they go their separate ways. But fate brings them together again. Thanks to a wish granted to Connor, Sidney and Breccan come face to face. It’s too bad that one of them can’t remember that night.

Breccan really connects to Connor. They share a bond. Connor brings out a side of him he never knew existed. He finds himself questioning his life and what truly matters. His time with Connor means he is also surrounded by Sidney. He is drawn to her. He’s drawn to her selflessness. How despite hid circumstance, she loves Connor relentlessly and never stops giving him the life he deserves. Breccan begins to slowly come to the realization of what in life he is truly missing. But he has no idea what to do with the feelings for Sidney. He’s a tough guy. He plays everything off. Little does he know that Connor and Sidney are about to change the trajectory of his life.

Don’t go into this thinking it is the usual fighter romance. While Breccan is cocky, rich, and famous. There’s a side to him that will have readers so enthralled and captivated. He is a fighter and everything you believe a fighter to be. But deep down, there’s something that ignites within him because of Sidney. He wants to live more. Love harder. Little does he know he’s up for the fight of his life.

There is so much depth to this story. It will inspire you, challenge you, and make you truly question the resilience of not only the human spirit, but the heart. It’s a story of redemption, forgiveness, and learning to live and love. Deeply. Without abandon. A story that will grab you from the very first page until the very last words at the end of the book. And even then you are still reeling for more. There is a sensual and sexy connection between Breccan and Sidney. One that not many authors can pull of, but this author masterfully executes this in her style of writing and within the hearts of her characters.

Undisputed is probably the book, the book world never saw coming, but it so desperately needed. In a word full of clichés and overused story plotlines, comes a story that truly is a breath of fresh air. You watch two people simply coast through life until they are ultimately connected because of one special little boy. And fall in love because out of all the people in the world, these two found their souls in the other. I think readers will appreciate how genuine the characters are. You will fall in love, cry, and root for love and all it entails. The story flows effortlessly. The pacing is perfect and fitting. I never felt there was a time I wanted to put this down. I can’t wait to see what is next for this author. Something tells me we have a lot to look forward to from this one.

This book is 5 stars and beyond. I am so overwhelmed right now!! I can NOT believe this is a debut novel. The bar has been set ladies and gentlemen. This is an emotional beast of a book!!
Sidney is a micro manager, a control freak, but this is what makes her happy. Her days are busy with work and caring for her nephew, Connor. Connor is 12 years old and is very ill. Let me just say I absolutely adore this child. Sidney's sister Abby travels for work ALOT so Sidney lives with them and is Connors caregiver. Sidney had no time for adult fun or love. But this year for her birthday everyone rallys together and forces her to have some adult fun. This fun lead her into a night club in which an incident with the floor and needing an outlet introduces her to one of the sexiest men she has ever seen! But this man is drunk and after tonight she will probably never see him again. And the worst thing is, she doesn't even know who he is. Oh well she will remember their almost kiss for like ever...
Breccan is a fighter and he is damn good at it, as in never lost a fight! But lately it's just not enough. So he decides to get drunk and party as much as he can. Well a few unruly nights and his trainer decides it's time to put him in a positive light for the public. And what better way then the Make-A-Wish foundation. Breccan does NOT want to meet a dying kid. He does not want to feel that pain. But there is no getting out of this. But what he doesn't realize is that meeting this kid will change his life forever.
I don't have enough good words for this book. I am upset at how events happened in this book, and only because I am so freaking emotionally drained right now. And I mean all that in a good way. This book had me laughing, smiling, excited, angry, filling with hope and love, and despairingly sad. I don't think this book missed any emotion. This book will run you through the ringer. Even though this all happens I will say this was an amazing love story. I love EVERY single character in this book!! I do want to say that I feel for Abby but as a mother I am very disappointed in this woman. I was so sad when I read "the end".
This book is a very well written book and may I add once again this is only her debut book. I can't imagine what else this author has in store for us but I know I want to read every book to come. The author draws you in from the very beginning and once your hooked you never come back up for air. This is a definite MUST read but make sure to bring tissues!

A.S. Teague’s Undisputed appealed to me the moment I stumbled upon it. It sounded like the kind of story I would adore, and I was happy to power through it.

Although I enjoyed Undisputed, it wasn’t quite what I had expected. I expected a lot more emotion from this story, as it dealt with something that could have broken my heart. As it was, I never connected with the story in the way I had hoped to, and such prevented me from loving it.

I think my problem was that I never came to care for the characters and never felt the relationship between them. There were some decent moments in the story, but the connection wasn’t there for me. I think with the connection, I may have felt more towards this one – as it was, I was a bit indifferent.

I’m certainly curious about the other stories in the series, though, and will give them a try to see if I connect more.

It was a horrible night. I had 2 books I started and DNF. This one just at 6%. Maybe it was the first person narrative? Maybe it was how over the top, annoyingly arrogant the MC was? Like a 12 year old trying to be tough. IDK but this just got on my nerves.

"Leaning back, I search Sidney's face to get a read on what she's feeling. I'm desperate for more, and that revelation catches me off guard. I've kissed a lot of women, but not once like that. And never have I longed to do it again without my goal being to wind up between her legs at the end of the night."

5 undisputed stars!! Great debut book by A.S. Teague!! Can't wait to read more!

Breccan is the undisputed MMA champion and he has the world at his feet, not to mention his pick of women. He's faced the biggest and best men in the ring and he's never backed down from a fight. But when he sees foul mouthed Sidney, she brings him to his knees. He may be in for the fight of his life with this one. She's not his usual type, he likes the party girls, where Sidney spends her nights taking care of her sick nephew, but yet somehow, she's all he wants. Is he ready for the fight of his life with her??

I love a good fighter book with lots of heat and story and this book has all of it!! I was hooked the minute I started reading it and fell hard for Breccan. He's a sexy, sexy fighter, and he knows it! I love the fight that Sidney gives him, she's phenomenal!! This book is so much more than a fighter book, it has heart and emotion, which I loved. I won't lie this book doesn't read like a debut authors book, it honestly seemed like she's been doing this forever. I can't wait to read more from her in the future!!

An author friend recommended and spoke highly of this story. So I decided to take a chance. The blurb seemed enticing coupled with high praise. WOW!! This is a story that I will not be forgetting anytime soon. I was far from being disappointed by this 5 star story that brought me on emotional roller coaster ride and left me reeling for days.

This is about Sidney who has put her life on hold in order to care for her sick nephew. She doesn't have any regrets but everything she does is for him. Breccan is on the top of his game by being a fighting champion who lives to party. One chance encounter brings them together. Breccan's life will be turned upside down but will he embrace it and step up to be the man with an amazing heart?

This story seeped through my being in order to attach itself to my heart and stay there. This is an emotional journey that left me feeling way after I was done reading it. Once I started it, I just couldn't let go until I read the very last page. Stories that involve kids are my favorite storylines because they make the journey so much sweeter. This is unlike anything I've ever read before. It's got an unique storyline with a seamless plot. It's beautifully written with characters that are just remarkably created to perfection. Bottom line is I LOVE this story so much. P.S. Have plenty of Kleenex handy.

This is a standalone told in a dual POV that has an HEA. Beautiful epilogue that was much needed. I strongly recommend this story. According to my research this is a debut for this amazing autthor. Remarkably well done A.S. Teague. This is an author that will be on my radar for future titles.

It's no secret that I love any kind of fighter book so to find one by a new author...well it doesn't get much better than that.
Breccan is the undisputed light heavy weight champion. He's hot, brilliant at fighting and can have any woman he wants. When he wins his latest fight he does what he normally does and goes out to celebrate.
Sidney works as accountant when she's not looking after her nephew Connor. On a rare night out to celebrate her birthday, she bumps into Breccan but it's not long before he messes it up and she leaves. Sidney has a lot going on at home, and doesn't think she'll see her mystery man again...Until they meet again when she's least expecting it.
I absolutely loved this book. The characters are brilliant, one in particular will steal your heart, Sidney is a really likeable woman. Independent, funny,
strong, loyal, a little bit clumsy (my favourite thing about her) and always putting others before herself, I loved her. Breccan....he's a MMA fighter, he's hot, sexy, so unbelievably sweet and deep down a genuinely nice, albeit slightly clueless at times, guy.
This story really got to me. It's very emotional but it has it's funny parts as well. Im really shocked that this is AS Teague's debut book, it's well written, got a story that kept me hooked from page one (I read it in one go I loved it that much) and that I won't forget anytime soon. Brilliant characters, some unexpected parts and one of the few books that made me well up. I'll be recommending this to anyone and everyone and I've definitely found a new author to stalk.

DING.DING.DING. The winner by unanimous decision is Undisputed by A.S. Teague. This is by far one off The.Best.Reads this year. It was written so well I was fuckin flabbergasted to know this was a debut novel for her. My actual thought was "no fuckin way this is her first book!" Well it was and it was TKO.
The eb and flow of the storyline was smooth as fuckin butter.

The angst,
laughter,
cocky bullshit attitude,
the emotional piece,
electric & magnetic attraction,
Bomb ass sex scenes,
family dynamic and lack thereof. FUCK everything was spot on!

It's more than just a hot love story of 2 characters. It's an experience for all of the main characters that was riveting and all encompassing. The amount of emotional growth all the characters go through is sensational. Exquisitely written to perfection.
Even though I butt fucking ugly cried, it was beautiful.
Not actually me, but the story. You feel me?
I can assure you, like I have already expressed to Teague that she has gained an awesome cheerleader and fan. A borderline Stalker. Oh who am I kidding, a full grown crazy ass blogger stalker.
I can't wait to get my hands on more of her work. This book will leave a lasting impression on your heart and soul.
It deserves
a helluva lot more than 5 stars!

5 undisputed stars for this book!!! Lord this book wrecked me I mean wrecked me!! This book will take you through every emotion that you can think of!! You will not want to put it down, I didn't! The characters are so well developed it seems you have known them your entire life. Undisputed also shows you what should be important in your life and not all the petty crap that you seem to focus on the most. This is the first book I've read by A.S. Teague and I really don't know why!!! Because if this book is this good I can't wait to did in to more books by her!!! I highly recommend this book it's so good!! The blurb doesn't do it justice but these 5 star ratings do!!! Not your run of the mill fighter book this one takes a turn you wouldn't believe! So read it!...lol

This was a very sweet read that I do recommend, but you need to be warned. It is not all happy and light. You will fall in love and most likely have your heart broken. It ain't pretty.

Once I moved past the tame-the-playboy/manwhore trope, I kind of liked Breccan. Sidney? I never quite warmed up to her, unless she was in Aunt Siddy mode.

The one that held the book together was Connor. I can't say much more without spoilers, but I adore that kid.

There are some things I would have liked to have seen handled differently, but all in all, it was a good debut for this author.

Woah!! This book. It was different. Definitely not what I was expecting and I enjoyed that. It was also emotional. As much as it was about Sidney and Brec, it was also about Connor and I adored him!

Full review to come on release day!

Actual Rating: 4.5 Stars

As a reader, I love to feel the books I read. I want to feel like I’m in those books, with those characters, living and breathing and experiencing it all with them, while feeling and connecting to all of the emotion behind what I’m experiencing with them. Getting those true and authentic feelings with characters while I read is what I live for as a reader, and when I come across a book that gives me that and more, I shout my love for that book from the proverbial rooftops.

This is my shouting my love for this book from the rooftops.

Undisputed by A.S. Teague was an utterly phenomenal debut novel that I loved every single word of. After reading the blurb of this book, I went into it thinking I was going to get a romance with some serious fight and some serious feels. Well I definitely got that and then some in this completely magnificent book. I got the fight and the drive and the sheer determination of these characters. I also got a helluva lot of feels that pulled at my heart on every single page of this book, along with a love story that exemplified what happens when you meet that one person who changes everything.

This book was well written, had engaging and memorable characters that completely charmed their way into my heart, and it had the level of authentic and all-feeling emotion that I crave when I read. Undisputed had so much to love within its pages, and whether this story was making me laugh with the charm and antics of the personalities within this book, or fall so hopelessly right along with these characters, or bringing tears to my eyes with all that they went through, I loved what it so phenomenally gave me.

Undisputed is the definition of a good, wholly enjoyable, and all around fantastic and fulfilling read, and it is one that I know I won’t soon forget. What I got within the pages of this book was a story of fight, feels, and true, honest to goodness love, and the completely life changing and upending things that can happen when you have all three. Breccan and Sidney’s journey and evolution together in Undisputed is real, completely enrapturing on every level, and honest in the most heart melting way.

Let me start this rest of this review by saying had I not known this was A.S. Teague’s debut novel, I would have never guessed that it was. Her emotionally laced writing, her thoughtfully crafted storytelling, and the dynamic characters she created screamed like they were coming from a seasoned pro of a writer who’d published many books. This author has a true talent, and the way she completely put me in this book whole heartedly with these characters and everything they experienced connected me to this story in every way, and made it so enrapturing that I had to know what would happen next. I couldn’t stop reading and feeling every bit of this story, and the way that A.S. Teague brought these characters, their personalities, and their journeys to life felt so completely real, which invested me in them so so much.

I am a huge lover of sports romances in general, and I have read my fair share of fighter romances, so I knew that I would most likely love getting to experience being with Breccan and his passion for MMA. But I think what I loved the most about this book, and especially Breccan, was that the fight in this love story wasn’t just inside of that ring. I not only got to experience what drove Breccan to fight, what it was like for him to fight in that ring, and why he wanted the things he did so badly, I got to experience what it was like for him outside of the ring too. Over the course of this novel you get to see Breccan at his most vulnerable, you get to see how that fight outside the ring starts to take precedence over what’s happening in that ring, and A.S. Teague puts you with him through every emotionally gripping moment of that. I loved getting to experience that with him, and that completely sent my heart to him, while simultaneously showing me the meaning behind everything that man was fighting for in this story.

Breccan and Sidney are two characters who couldn’t be more opposite if they tried. He loves to go out, and she is a homebody who is perfectly comfortable on the couch catching up on Netflix. She’s a bit of a control freak in a fun and easy to love way, while he is a go with the flow kind of guy that might be getting a little bit too lax on some of his choices. Neither of them is looking for anything serious, but after a turn of events sets them on a path to one another, they can’t help but be swept up in one another. Over the course of Undisputed you get to go along with both Breccan and Sidney as they start to evolve a bit, and as they start to really feel and determine what it is that they want, what they really need, and what’s truly important to them. I loved getting to be there through every phenomenal step of the way as these two pushed each other to want more, fight more, and try more, and experiencing what it was like for these two to journey together was everything. It was emotional, it was believable, and it felt right for them. Even in the moments when my heart broke for them and everything they experienced on that evolution, I knew that those two were on the right path to exactly where they needed to be, and I connected and felt with them through all of that because of what A.S. Teague gave me with them.

The love and connection that Breccan and Sidney share in Undisputed exemplifies what it means to have a love worth fighting for. What those two grow to share, how they overcome the hurdles that come their way in this book, and how they give it their damndest to fight to where they want to be with one another will sear your heart to them. A.S. Teague completely allows you to understand their characters, to understand where their fears and doubts and hesitancies come from, and she allows you to be there with them as they attempt to make it work and fight for that undeniable connection they share. How these two affect one another, how they push each other to be more, and how their passionate and spark filled feelings emanate from the pages of this book will have you loving and rooting for them with all that you have. Trust me on that.

As I said, I love to feel the books that I read. I love to feel as if I am right there with them through it all, understanding and experiencing every lick of emotion they do, and I got that through every single extraordinary page of Undisputed. I felt what Breccan experienced as he started to realize and feel that Sidney was someone who would change everything. I felt what it was like for Sidney to pour her heart over to something unknown and how life starting that was. I experienced what it was like for each of these characters to feel the emotional toll and journey, along with every ounce of feeling and emotion that came with this story and its events. I was there with them in the highest of highs, the lowest of lows, and in some moments that broke and melted my heart more times than I could count. I felt it all. I lived it all. I understood it all. And that is a true testament to what A.S. Teague so wonderfully created in this book.

Undisputed was an outstanding and memorable story about many things. It was a story about fight. The fight in the ring, the fight for what you feel and want and so desperately need, and the fight of the heart that happens when you meet that one person who changes it all. It was a story of powerful emotion. What that emotion can bring you, how it can break you and open you up in ways you never knew possible, yet heal you in the same beat too. It was a story of life and love too. How the two of those things can weave together to create something truly meaningful, heart squeezing, and unforgettable.

This is a story of what happens when two characters are placed on a path they never thought they’d be on, yet can’t seem to get off of no matter how hard they might try. It shows what happens through every emotional up and down and twist and turn along that path, and it puts you on that path right alongside them as they journey through it all. It shows them, and you, that with the right people, a true emotional and heartfelt connection, and with that one person who changes the game, that path can lead you to some of the most extraordinary places of your life.

Through it all, even in the moments when that path attempts to hurt and break these characters just a bit (or a lot), you know that it is so beyond worth it because of everything it so authentically gives them and their hearts. And that is worth all the fight in the world.

Undisputed was a story that encapsulated a love story full of fight, meaningful emotion, and an undeniable connection between two people that couldn’t be denied. Told through phenomenal writing, with fantastic supporting characters, this book gave me a story and two characters I know I won’t soon forget. I loved every single moment of this book, what it gave me along the way, and how it opened my heart to everything Breccan and Sidney shared.

A.S. Teague hit it out of the park with this debut novel, and I have no doubt that I will love whatever she writes next. Fingers crossed that next book happens sometime soon because I truly can’t wait for more from this new author!

My reading buddy and I read this book some time last summer and we both enjoyed it. Sadly, the title of the book is rather unremarkable and the author is fairly new so when we were trying to recall the title, BOTH of us were quite stumped. I spent the last 4 or 5 days scrolling through all the books I read last year on my Kindle and emailing a description of the story-line to various GR contacts in the hope that someone, ANYONE I knew had also read this book and could help me remember the flippin' title. Needless to say after several, "Nope, sorry I can't help you but good luck!" replies, I was ready to rip my hair out and maybe even cry a little.

I've been a GoodReads member for a few years but only really started utilizing it for reviews and keeping track of books I've read some time last year. CLEARLY, IT WAS BEFORE I READ THIS BOOK!! So I called my reading buddy this evening and forced her to scroll through the Kindle app on her phone and read me title after title while I crossed checked them on GR. I was DETERMINED to find this book and, as you can see, a little persistence paid off because here we are.

To be fair, I don't know if I could write the most unbiased review at this point because anything I have to say would likely be colored by my utter ECSTASY at having come across the title once again, lol! I will say that as I was wracking my brain, little details of the book kept coming back to me (you know, everything except, the title, author, characters names. . .) Anyway, I tend NOT to remember little details of a book I read more than 6 months past UNLESS I truly enjoyed it. So we'll put this one in the "GOOD" pile for now. I may have to re-read it soon just to be sure.
