The Mountain Bride

Rate this book
A Mail Order Bride must tame her four new sons before she can find love with her husband.

In the late 1800’s, twenty-six-year-old Ella has been living in Virginia, raised by her father after her mother’s death, with her three younger brothers. A strict man, her father, quickly makes Ella into his own version of “Cinderella”, requiring her to raise her younger brothers and do all the chores. Aware of Ella’s stress and lack of life, Dave, Alfred and Oscar, her three brothers suggest a change in her scenery: movie across the country to marry a man in the West.
It's a huge change for Ella, whose love for reading has greatly expanded her desire to travel. The man who has advertised is in need of a woman to help him raise his four sons. After raising her three brothers, Ella feels she has just the right qualifications for the job. She still wonders, though, will there be love in the home? Will the boys accept her as their new mother? Will she be going back into the same drab existence she lived up to that point? Taking the risk is the only way Ella will know if her happiness lies in the West.

This is a short-story romance with NO cliffhanger and includes various bonus stories at the end.
