I know all her secrets, her habits, her preferred coffee, what she does in her spare time, her favorite lingerie brand, even that she sleeps naked.

At night, I watch her from her window. During the day, I watch her from my computer. She innocently bares her heart and body to me, and I soak up every single fucking second.

I’ve stayed away, but I’m tired of watching from afar. It’s time Poppy finds out just who I am and what I’m willing to do to take what’s mine. She may hate me when she finds out my what I’ve done, but she has no choice but to accept it. She will be my wife. She will mother my children. I will claim every part of her heart, body, and soul. Poppy has a secret admirer and a stalker…Asher.

Asher is obsessed with her and he’s madly in love with her. He has lovely fantasies, in silence, and he’s harmless. He has planted hidden cameras in her house recording her every move, he visits it while she’s asleep, he takes her lingerie as a souvenir, he sabotages her blind dates through an online dating app, he’s been sending her her favorite flowers at work weekly for eight months, signed by just the initial of his first name. She is the object of his fascination and he knows every single detail about her life! Until he decides to pursue her. He’s certain she’ll come to love him once she understands how pure and intense his passion is for her.

I was glued to this book. It manages to be addictive, funny, clever and crass all at once and I love it. Asher will not disappoint in the alpha male hero department. He’s super possessive, raw, dominating, jealous and all out stalker-ish but hot damn his sweet, sexy, ripped side completely makes it worth it. Poppy is perfect for Asher and I liked most things about her. These two characters totally leveled each other out. I loved how he knew right away when he saw Poppy that she's the one for him. That she's the one he wants to be with forever. The author does a good job sharing the thoughts of the characters.

It's a complex story that pulls a reader in and takes them for a ride! It feels so wrong to be rooting for an obsessive stalker, but by the end of this book you will undoubtedly be a little bit in love with Asher. I certainly was! I don’t give spoilers, but encourage you to read the book and hopefully enjoy it as much as I did.

DNF explanation:

I got pretty far into this one albeit with skimming because this wasn’t working for me fairly early on, but I’m officially marking it a DNF instead of rating it because there came a point where I was just done with it due to some content that should have a trigger warning to accompany it.
All in all, the premise was intriguing and the story had promise, but it lacked in execution. Asher was initially rather interesting in the chapters told by Poppy, but in his own narration, he came off a total creeper and a bit of a nutcase. He’s actually described pretty sexy (physically) but I must say IMO the cover didn’t match up, which made envisioning him a rather conflicting picture. But I digress. Ultimately there’s a reveal that soured me on the whole story.

Specifics:
*Warning: If you have no reading triggers or pet peeves and prefer to be surprised or like shock value, then simply don’t click on the spoiler tag. But I could not honestly explain my DNF explanation without providing the details below, and I know many of my GR friends & followers need certain information before deciding on reading a title. If you fall into the last category, then definitely keep reading.

Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a well-written, safe but complicated dark romance, however I did not find that here.

The bottom line… On a serious note, this title interweaves some very heavy issues (sexual assault, mental illness, manipulation, invasion of privacy, etc.) without ever properly exploring the real implications of them.
To end this on a lighter note though, I’ll simply add that the message I took away from this tale was….just ask the freaking girl out and romance her the normal way!

Geez, it would have saved “the poor helpless heroine” a lot of heartache and danger. ;-)

I loved this book, I was hooked the entire time and I never wanted to put it dow. Was it over the top? Yes, but in so many great ways. Would I be with a guy like this in real life? No I would more than likely run but in book world I loved him. He is possessive and yes Obsessed like the title states. This was such a fun read, I loved every minute of it and I am so glad I took a chance on it so much so that I can't wait to check out more from this author.

When Asher saw Poppy his entire world changed, yes he is smart and powerful but his life revolves around Poppy even if she doesn't know it. Now all he can think of is Poppy and seeing her and getting and keeping her. When Asher finally makes his move he does so without Poppy knowing who he really is. As Poppy gets involved with a man she doesn't really know she finds herself torn between wanting him and not knowing if their relationship can be real or last.

When Asher makes a move as his true self Poppy finds herself thinking she is falling for two men and more confused than ever. Then danger comes and Asher vows to do everything he can to keep the woman he loves and is obsessed with safe. But when the truth comes out Poppy is heartbroken and more confused than ever. Now Asher isn't sure if he will ever get Poppy back but he will do everything in his power to keep her safe and do anything to get her back.

There is a lot in this story i'm not going to lie but it works it's not too much it actually makes for a great book that keeps you on your toes. I actually had a hard time writing anything about this book because there is so much and I don't want to spoil it. As I said in real life the heroes actions wouldn't fly but in this book I loved him Poppy really is the love of his life, and when it comes crashing down he is devastated and he is willing to do anything to make it right, he even says if they are never together again he will be alone for the rest of his life.

One thing that helped was that the heroine really makes Asher work for it, and he does. If you like groveling you will love this. Another thing that works is I liked both Asher and Poppy, and I liked the story and writing of this book. Starting out this would seem like it would be a short hot story but the author took an idea and made a great full length book out of it that was hot, yes but really interesting and different.

We hear through out this book why the hero waits to reveal his true self and I just kept think ok why, why did you do it, and I have to say I did not guess why he went about it the way he did but I was impressed that the author, she pulled it off and I thought mmmm well ok I get that(in book world). I get why he waited so long to make his move and I love that while he was waiting she was it for him. I'm sad this book is done because I had so much fun reading it.

I'm not sure how I have missed this author but I can't wait to see what her other book are like. If you are looking for a hot obsessed, possessive hero who's world revolves around his love I highly recommend this book. He is obsessed with Poppy and he goes to extremes but I loved it.

**When I say he goes to extremes I don't mean he ever hurts the heroine that would be the worst thing for him. I think he's so obsessed and wants her so bad the part of his brain that functions and has reason stops working:}

Looking at all the 5 stars reviews, I can only assume I read a different book than everyone else did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hero sees the heroine a year before when she's at his friend's business office, looking to be interviewed to get a job there. He's obsessed with her from the minute he lays eyes on her. Hero tells friend not to hire her and to send her to his office. He hires her to be his assistant. Follows her home. Sits outside her house. Breaks in and put cameras in every room of her house, except for the bathroom. Puts a tracker on her car so he knows where she is at all times. He's got a video feed of the cameras on his phone so he can pull them up at any time to see what she's doing in her home and what room she's in, unless she's in the bathroom, because he didn't completely want to take her privacy away. He's not that crazy. *eye roll* Not only does he sits outside her house, he actually becomes a peeping tom and looks at her through her windows. She's got sheer curtains and she likes to sleep naked so he waits until she falls asleep and then breaks into her house (she had a spare in the most cliché place ever so he was easily able to get his hands on it & make copies for himself) to sit by her bed and watch her sleep. He doesn't touch her beyond moving her hair away from her face while she's sleeping but this is extremely OTT stalkerish.

At work, she's got an admirer who sends her flowers every week. Cards are just signed with an A. Then comes the day he starts texting her but still keeps his identity a secret from her. They exchange messages and she even finds out he's watching her and while she's somewhat scared, she's also excited because he keeps telling her she's his and will always be his and he'd never hurt her. Blah blah blah.

Then comes the scene where he sends her lingerie and a scarf and asks her to wear it and to put the scarf over her eyes and get on the bed.

(She still doesn't know her admirer is her boss.)

She agrees.

He uses his key to get into the house and goes to her bedroom. They have relations, although he doesn't sleep with her but does find his pleasure and then makes a point of smoothing it into her skin and in between her legs because he wants her to get pregnant with his baby because there is no one else for him. She's it.

Are you serious?

From there it's just a complete mess where she's fine with him doing stuff like this while she still has no idea who he really is. He's playing this game with her where he'll text her as her admirer as he's there as her boss then question her about the "mystery man" in her life.

Not only does he watch her all the time but we find out that someone else is doing the same thing. They're sneaking into her house when she's sleeping and they're not only sneaking into her house but they're actually getting on the bed, on top of her, touching her while she's sleeping and sniffing her. ALL of that and she never wakes up! We find out later that not only was she touched and sniffed but the new stalker even licked her and she never woke up. What!? For real?

Of course the hero is livid. That's his thing. Only he can stalk her, watch her, sneak into her house while she's sleeping, etc etc etc. So he hires someone to try to find out who this new stalker is and puts men on her at all times so nothing happens to her.

When the secret is finally revealed, the hero isn't even sorry he did it. Tells her that she's the reason he breathes and the reason his heart beats blah blah blah. He does tell her he'll remove all cameras from her home and tracking device from her car but she's so mad at him she wants nothing to do with him.

Which then escalates things with the second stalker who now wants to kill her. Why? Because she was with the stalker hero. The whole mystery of who the second stalker is wasn't even that hard to solve.

Overall, this was just way OTT for me and I'm usually one who like OTT heroes. This one? Nope. He just came off as too much of a crazy stalker and heroine should have taken out a restraining order against him.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Talk about stalkery goodness!

Asher fell in love with Poppy the first moment he laid eyes on her.

’The woman has completely taken over my mind and there’s not a [darn] thing I can do to stop it. Not that I want to. Poppy’s mine, she just hasn’t been made aware of it yet.’

For the last year he’s been stalking her relentlessly. As a hacker, he has managed to get into every part of her life as well as placing cameras throughout her home. Initially, he did it because he wanted her but was unable to take the steps to make her his. Now that the time is here, he finds himself addicted to it.

description

Poppy isn’t aware of the stranger standing in the shadows outside her window or of the extreme violation of privacy he has taken to procure all knowledge of her. But when she begins to receive text messages from an unknown number, instead of being afraid, she’s intrigued as well as turned on. However, learning who Sterling is doesn’t bring a happy ending. It upends her life and opens the door for a new stalker who wants to see her dead.

description

This is a bit dark and creepy but I do love a stalker-like hero but perhaps not quite as stalkerish as Asher. He was completely over the top in every way. The length of the book and the darker feel to the stalking kept his over the top actions from feeling cheesy. I have to admit, I loved that he went after what he wanted even as he realized that his actions were going to eventually cost him.

’I may have taken her privacy away, but it’s her that hold my future in her hands. It’s her that can completely destroy me with just a snap of her fingers.’

His determination to have Poppy was unwavering. Even if he physically lost her as a consequence of his decisions he would love her forever.

description

This is a lengthier book and I have to admit I kind of skimmed some of the smexy times…of which there are plenty and they are all scorching. There is no doubt this couple share an intense chemistry but I did feel that there weren’t enough moments for them to connect on an emotional level as everything did seem to be sexually motivated. With that being said, I still enjoyed the heck out of this book as well as the characters.

› the hero wasn't interesting other than being a stalker.

The bathroom is the only room I don’t have a camera in. Even I have my limits. I don’t want to take away all her privacy.

I sit there for a good hour, just watching her sleep, before I force my legs to stand. I don’t want to leave her.

› The heroine (Poppy) is the most dumbass heroine that I've ever read.

this bitcht has been receiving flowers for eight months from a "secret admirer" and instead of being worried she was excited about it?? Even when he starts texting her, she was smiling like an idiot.

Unknown: Did you have a good day at work?
I smile down at the message.

but my favorite part is Poppy's response when the stalker (Starling) reveals to Poppy that he has been following and watching her for a year,
Ha! Sending me flowers for eight months and telling me you’ve been keeping tabs on me for almost a year is two entirely different things, Sterling.”

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT? 😂 I would be scared if I received flowers from a stranger for EIGHT MONTHS.

› Another thing i found hilarious is the fact Poppy has another stalker but this stalker is a bad one 😭🤣

The difference between me and him is the fact that Poppy is mine. I may have put cameras in her house and have done some pretty dirty shit myself, but I would never lay a hand on her in a hurtful manner or force her to do something she didn’t want to do. Besides brushing her hair to the side, I would never touch her without her knowledge or permission. I may persuade or coax, but never force. Even through the camera and miles away from me, I could feel the menace radiating off the man in Poppy’s room.

Well this was definitely interesting!

I kinda picked this up and put it down a few times but I still enjoyed. The whole obsessive male plot is always my weakness, even when it borders creepy so I obviously enjoyed this story.

I found it hilarious how we have a good stalker and a bad stalker... like one is more justifiable than the other.

Anyways it was a pretty sexy, and mysterious read and this author is on my radar now :)

This book was fantastic. Alex has a way of turning stalking into a yummy fetish instead of a totally creepy gross thing haha. The H is hot and his devotion and obsession of the h is sweet and hot and it’s everything you insta love ladies crave. Not only did it have so much that I love in a book it was also a really well written story. For an insta book the characters for me were developed and had some depth. I even wanted more of some of the secondary characters too. If your looking for an insta love and smutty book with a solid story to it too then this ones your next read.

DNFed at 65%

This constant inner monologue from our heroine reminded me of my literature professor back at uni, who could never get to the point without getting distracted by some random thoughts that kept popping into his head, sometimes related to the topic, sometimes not:

“Morning everyone, today we're discussing Joyce and his body of work...now funny thing I once had a dog named Joyce...hmm...now, you see back in 1928..."

I think my biggest problem with this book was the writing style.. This never-ending and mind-numbingly dull chatter of Poppy? Omg, just KMN. Every single conversation is interrupted by her thoughts, and same like in my professor's case, they seem to wander off and jump from one topic to another before she even manages to answer the question she was asked, and what's better, I don't even fucking remember what the convo was about.

Another disappointment was Poppy, our heroine.
To say that thinking isn't her strong suit would be an understatement of the year. This girl is just dumb as a rock.
I'm not gonna mention the fact that she blindfolds herself, allows her stalker (whose face she's never seen) inside her house, lets him eat her pussy and then gives him a blowy and lets him come all over her body because SHE TRUSTS HIM(!!!). Nope, not gonna mention that because the very thought of doing such a thing is so ridiculous I wanna scream.

What is more, she is given all the letters from Asher's name so that she could figure out Sterling's real name and yet she is too dumb to put 2 and 2 together.
Like I said.
Thinking? Yeah....

Let's not forget that after she let her stalker Sterling feel her up, she decides to jump into bed with Asher. We know it’s the same bloke, sure, but she doesn’t. And it all comes from a girl who was so broken-hearted after her ex cheated on her. I mean, WTF is wrong with this girl. But once she wakes up the next morning and feels some sort of remorse, Asher tells her not to worry and our sis here is like: Okey- dokey, I won't. And then she lets Ash fuck her again because you know, what's done is done, no biggie.

Our peeping Tom here by the name of Asher/Sterling wasn't the worst but I just couldn't for the life of me, figure out what he saw in that girl. What anyone saw in that girl, because she is not smart, has zero interests and personality of a wet noodle. What the heck was so special about her that every male in the book wanted her. Did she have 3 tits or something? I couldn't feel their chemistry, either. And their first sex scene? Yeah, I'm a sucker for some sexy time in a book, believe me you, but that one was disappointing. Quite below meh. But again, no chemistry.
Another thing that bugged the hell outta me was: why the stalking? I get that he wanted to get in her pants, get to know her etc etc but isn't that what dating is for?
Did he really have to go such lengths? Because when you think about it for a while, I'd say no, that wasn't necessary.

Last but not least, I wanna mention Liv, the dumbest friend one can ever have. Srsly, Liv and Poppy should be named Dumb and Dumber and have that written on their foreheads so that everyone could see what they deal with. She first advised Poppy to go ahead and do the nasty with Sterling and then she advised her to sleep with Asher because apparently why not?
I hated that after anything remotely interesting happened, we had to read another long ass chapter where these two talked about it and Liv only proved to be dumber than I initially had thought she would be. Plus, these chapters, or maybe her character, brought absolutely nothing to the plot. Nada, zilch, bupkis. Maybe that happens later in the book, dunno, didn't get that far.

All in all, I wanted to power through. I wanted to find out how the story goes but the amount of stupidity overwhelmed me and I eventually gave up. Maybe if I liked the heroine, I could finish, or maybe if the writing was better, dunno.
Perhaps I'll find the power in me to give this book a try later but I'm not sure I'm ready for that just yet.

My rating: 1.5 stars rounded up to generous 2, for the idea.

Point one: This was seriously messed up
Point two: I floved it!
I cant explain how much I enjoyed this OTT dark romance with stalker theme. From having a crazy hero who crosses lines when it comes to pursuing, to an unexpected love triangle; it gripped me from start to end.
Was Asher our crazy stalker insanely in love? Yes. Did he ever do anything to harm Poppy? No. On the other hand, he cherished her. His methods might be cray cray, but oh well..
That being said his obsession did make her vulnerable , so that remained a tiny sour point- but I get what he did and why he did.
At the end, I just wanted a more detailed epilogue for them - even forgiving that- it was a great read.

I feel like I should be concerned by my love for this story. From the first page I was obsessed! I just couldn't read it quick enough. I should have been horrified by Ashers behaviour... I wasn't, I was turned on. Who am I? I was on the edge of my seat, devouring the words. I cried my eyes out in parts and held my breath, while my heart literally beat out of my chest with fear, at other points. This book is a MUST READ! It's the first one I've read of Alex's but she now has a new fan.

Asher sees Poppy and in that moment has to have her. He knows she will be his wife and goes out of his way to get her.
Poppy has no idea that the mystery man who has been sending her flowers every week for eight months is. He doesn't make a move. Then one day she starts to get text messages from him.
Asher has been watching Poppy obsessively since day one. He gets to a time in his life that he can now pursue her.
No spoilers from me..

The story is just so good, it is fast paced and exciting. It has everything you need in a story to keep you turning the pages.
I urge you to read their story. You won't regret it.

Conclusion:
Going to skip the Likes/Dislikes section of my review and just come to the conclusion to say this book was weird. So weird that i'm honestly struggling to figure out what I want to say for this review. The book wasn't bad, it did hold my attention (mostly), but it wasn't good either. Maybe I messed up by jumping from one stalker romance to another especially when the last stalker romance was a 5+ stars for me. I do sort of feel like giving this a 3 star rating is generous but again the book wasn't bad per-say. Maybe part of the problem for me was that the MCs had a pretty long 3rd act breakup which definitely made the book too long. I guess I could say I didn't like that.

Overall - this is my conclusion

Uh oh, have to cry a foul on something. The H and h are going to Dallas, and the H just told her to get "cowgirl" boots and a plaid shirt so she won't stand out. Um, in the first place regardless of who wears them they are "COWBOY" boots, cowboy, cowboy, cowboy Never cowgirl.

Secondly, Dallas is the most fashion conscious city EVER. Not too dissimilar to NYC except think pink not black. (I'm from Houston so we sneer at Dallas although it always gets better press.) The h needs to work on getting her hair like this though...

Other than that this is a fun NSFW stalker story. In real life, I would say run like the wind, Bullseye, but fiction works, yep, fiction.

PLOT:
Asher Knight (cool name) is obsessed with Poppy (another cool name) to the point he is stalking her. Not just stalking her but STALKING her to the point he is monitoring her every move with cameras at home and has added a tracking device on her car. He has created an alter ego named Sterling that sends her roses once a week. Intriguing notion as at some point stalker boy and alter ego are going to have to have a come to Jesus moment when Asher admits he is Sterling and has set everything up. I don't know how Poppy will react, but given the hot and heavy moments she's had with Sterling aka Asher, blindfolded, I'm going to guess that pissed will be putting it mildly. Example is Asher puts the moves on her knowing she doesn't want to cheat on Sterling who`s is actually Asher. It doesn't help that she's attracted to both, but Sterling has an in with his Zorro hide in the shadows moves. Will Asher feel jealousy of his Sterling persona because she's probably going to have sex with Asher only she'll be betraying Sterling who is Asher's alter ego? Tune in next week.

60%
She folds like a cheap tent with ASHER.

70%
Confession time. Yep, she's mad.

FINALE:

In addition to Asher, Poppy has another stalker who also spies on her and texts her which makes Asher furious. If anyone is going to stalk this young lady and violate her privacy six ways to Sunday, it's going to be him!

Let's just say Asher's bad behavior was rewarded.

Great story if you love over the top, completely besotted heroes that hold nothing back to get the girl.

5 Stalking can be sexy stars!

This book grabbed me and didn't let me go. Poppy is a beautiful and guileless young woman trying to make her way in the world after loosing both of her parents and the family business in quick succession. She lucks into a great job she really had no obvious skills for and meets Olivia who becomes her best friend. She loves her job and finds herself extremely attracted to her sexy and aloof boss, Asher Knight. She won't pursue anything with her boss, he is strictly off limits, so she tries online dating, and that is not going well at all. But, Poppy has bigger problems, problems she isn't even aware of. She is being stalked, every move she makes, every breath she takes...he is watching. And the person watching her just might be closer and more dangerous than she could ever imagine.

This story is tautly written and intense. I vacillated between trusting and distrusting Asher's intentions. Part of me wanted to scream at Poppy and tell her to wake up and run for the hills. But, the other part of me was enthralled by the voyeurism and the inappropriateness of it all. But, what really got me is the suspense. Every turn of the page I was waiting for something to happen, I was on the edge of my seat to almost the very end! Wow, this book just floored me. I thought I had things figured out, but, NOPE! I was left with my mouth hanging open! Wow, just wow!

I truly enjoyed Asher's intensity, he is everything you could want in an Alpha male. He is so sexy and the things he says and does to Poppy left me breathless. The slow and methodical way he makes his way into her head then her body and eventually her heart. Even though their relationship starts off unconventional, it is a true love story fraught with emotion that left me feeling wrung out. But, wrung out in the best kind of way!

This is just a great book, I can't recommend it highly enough. Alex Grayson is a new author to me, but I am very much looking forward to reading more of her stories.

What I liked: the characters were likable. Especially the hero (despite his creepy nature). He was very diverse without being inconsistent. Poppy was nice, but one of the most naive and dense characters I've ever read.

What I didn't like: 1. Poppy will not be winning a Nobel Prize anytime soon. How she missed the 101 signs that Asher was so clearly Sterling was beyond me. And to not wake-up once despite being Did she roofie herself each night before bed?
2. The timeline was a mess. Based on all clues given, Asher's around 35 years old. Later, he's about 25-28 years old. There are so many other examples, but I'm going to just stick with that for now since I don't have the patience to go through every single one.
3. What the hell happened to the villain? All of these comments about how his behavior was super uncharacteristic, but there was no explanation or follow up after the final conflict. And to have endless descriptions on what Poppy's wearing, how her kitchen is designed, etc. I would've preferred the author spend her time on the more important aspects, but instead she ignored them. Trés disappoint.
4. It needs to be badly edited. Misspellings, word misuse/mixups, incorrect expressions (IE without abandon when it should be with abandon) were on almost literally every page. It was distracting and exhausting considering how long the book was.

It was really crazy. Asher completely stripped Poppy's privacy. He put on cameras in her house, in every single room, except the bathroom. I'm not sure it makes any difference. He needs to watch her without her knowing because of reasons. I know it's wrong. Hell, you should run away when you come across this situation. But this is only a book, ok? You know from the start that Asher has no intention to hurt her. He really loves her.

I liked Asher. He has uncontrolled stalking tendencies. He knew it was wrong. See, at least he got a good insight. And he was so sweet towards Poppy. So my heart did melt for him.

When Poppy asked herself how she could be so stupid, I said out loud "I know, right?". I just couldn't get over how silly she was and how she kept taking bad advice from her dumb friend.

Asher was okay but I would have liked him more if he had revealed himself before he slept with her.

And just in case you thought this book would be different, the author made sure to add -out of nowhere- that Asher used to be a big slut. Yay.

3.5 STARS!

"You are the single most important thing I would give everything up for."

I really thought this book would be a slam dunk for me (I love stalkers), and really, it was in a lot of ways. However, it fell short in other ways, too. I really had a hard time connecting with either main character on an emotional level. The writing was clean- little to no grammar errors or typos- but it was very abrupt at times, almost too technical. I like my writing more on the lyrical and descriptive side, so I think the curt language is why I didn't attach to the characters (it was alternating POV). That being said, the sex was pretty damn hot and most of the plot was suspenseful and engaging, so for the most part, I enjoyed myself the whole time I was reading this.

It wasn’t until recently that I’d gotten myself into a position where I could approach her the way I want to; however, I’m not ready just yet. I’m having too much fun with my current game— a game she knows nothing about, but still participates in. Hell, who am I kidding? This isn’t a game, it’s more of an uncontrollable obsession. I love watching her, knowing she’s oblivious to it. It turns me on more than anything, or anyone, has before.

This Poppy and Asher's story. Poppy has been Asher's personal assistant for around a year, and Asher has been down-low obsessed with her the entire time. He has been sending her flowers as a secret admirer- sweet, huh? However, he has also been stalking her, and I am not using that term loosely. He installed cameras in her house to watch her, he breaks into her house to watch her sleep, and he watches her undress from outside her window. He makes Edward Cullen look detached. He has his reasons for waiting an entire year to make a move, and when he does, everything goes to shit, mostly because he handles everything in the worst possible ways. From there, things escalate... and then an outside threat closes in.

I’m still trying to come to grips with what happened, how I feel about it, and how fucked up it makes me.

On paper, Poppy was a likable enough heroine. She was definitely sympathetic; both of her parents have passed away, and her only significant relationship ended when she found him in bed with another woman on the same day her mother died. Her luck starts to turn when she lands a great job at Silver Technologies. Not long after she begins working, she starts receiving flowers every single week. After almost a year of fairly harmless behavior like this, the stalker really ups his game by reaching out to her out of the blue. I didn't blame Poppy for being interested in her stalker, especially considering that in her eyes, he hadn't done anything worse than send her flowers for a full year. I would've been interested in who would do such a thing- and why- as well. What bothered me about her was that she always seemed to think or say what she thought she should feel, instead of how she really felt. Girl, just embrace the fact that you like your men a little on the wrong side of sane! I feel like we never really got to know Poppy, we just knew how she felt about things like being stalked and Atlanta traffic. She was fairly average and plain, which wouldn't have been a big deal if this larger-than-life man wasn't obsessed with her the second he saw her for the first time.

I need her to want me as much as I want her.

Asher, AKA Sterling, was an interesting enough character. He started Silver Technologies because he has elite hacking skills, which is helpful when you're a total voyeuristic creep. I wanted to hate the way he violated Poppy's privacy, and I did, but that doesn't mean he wasn't sexy at times. The man had a filthy mouth on him, and to his credit, he definitely never wanted to hurt Poppy. That being said, he did hurt her. She ended up very hurt because of his poor decisions. His recklessness with Poppy's safety didn't really mesh with his whole over-the-top alpha, possessive thing he had going on. Furthermore, I did believe he truly loved her, and that she was it for him, but I never really got a good grasp of why. It was like we were supposed to believe it was just because he fell in love with her at first sight, but couldn't go after her then. Still, like I said earlier, it's not what a normal person does. I feel like I could've loved Asher if I had somewhat of an explanation, maybe from his past, that would've explained his behavior beyond what we were given. It's a shame, too, because his description was dreamy as hell, he was rich and successful, and he was a beast in the sack. Just a little bit more character development could've pushed him over the edge, but even without it, he was still the best and most interesting part of this book.

"You are the only woman that will ever have my heart. The only woman that will ever have my body. No one, Poppy. Just you.”

The plot moved along at a good pace. There were a couple twists at the end; one I saw coming from miles away, the other I didn't. Both twists worked, though, and I thought the epilogue was fun, hot, and sweet. Another thing I really liked- Poppy's relationship with her best friend, Liv, and Liv's fiancee Tony. There was no drama, just support, and I loved the way they cared for her. This was definitely an enjoyable read, I think it just frustrated me because it had the potential to be an excellent one, but just didn't quite make it there.

5 Stars!

Sexy. Erotic. Intense. Captivating. Passionate. Get ready for a brilliant romance with stream, angst, suspense, twists, and one hero who is going to steal your heart like a thief in the night.

Alex Grayson is a new author to me. I took a chance on this book because who doesn't like a good stalker who can make all your dreams come true, lol. But in all seriousness, this book was so good. I devoured this hot and erotic little number in one afternoon and had a wicked book hangover afterwards.

Endless Obsession tells the tale of one girl named Poppy and the stranger who watches her in the night... and the day. He knows everything about her and soon, she will finally be his. Right from the start of Poppy's story, she sucks you in and doesn't let go until her story has been told. And what a story she had... hot, intriguing and quite a few twists and turns.

Everything about this book worked. The plot... the twists... the suspense... the sexy times... the pacing... the flowing storyline... everything meshed so well. The feels poured off of the pages. The steam practically melted my kindle.

I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book! But it was a little slow for me at a lot of places so I skimmed. I don't know why I didn't love it, I just couldn't connect as deeply with the love between the MCs. There wasn't a specific reason why... But I just didn't get the butterflies and "feels" from this book.

It's completely safe with a hero who is ALL about the heroine! That's what I loved. I also loved the heroine :)

I also enjoyed the plot line! He is a stalker that has been watching the heroine, but he's not a dark hero at all, just one deeply Inlove. So if you're expecting a dark hero, he isn't one.

Sigh disappointing, I honestly love those crazy stalkerish hero romance novels but geez this was slow and boring and just wasnt adding up fast enough for me, so somewhere around page 18 I decided life was just to short to continue with this book.

In all fairness to this book i had been in a book funk for a while and after only recently reading some good books i realy could not tolerate a #boring #lame #inneeedofagoodplot #Slow #Doormatheroine book.

Maybe a day when you have nothing else better to do you can try it.

Reviewed on behalf of 2 girls who love books blog.

Endless Obsession is a standalone novel by Alex Grayson and wow what novel it is. The story is about Asher Knight and Poppy Lexington. Asher has been silently watching Poppy for a year, staying hidden in the shadows, biding his time. She knows him as two different men. Poppy became Asher’s without her even knowing it – he knows her secrets, her habits, her preferred coffee, her favourite lingerie and he even knows that she sleeps naked. At night he watches her through her window, during the day through his computer. Asher wants to claim every single part of Poppy – even though he knows when she finally finds out what he’s done she is very likely to hate him. Asher cannot resist though – Poppy is his endless obsession.

OMG!!!! This book is just totally off the charts AMAZING!!!!! I’m not sure you are supposed to like someone who stalks, plants cameras in people’s apartments and blindfolds you so you don’t know who he is or what he looks like but I do! I have to say I think Asher Knight is now my endless obsession! This book had me captivated as soon as I read the synopsis and once I actually started reading it I was not disappointed. I laughed, I cried, I gasped and I found my new book boyfriend!! Not only is this book definitely in the cannot put down category but it will also leave you with the dreaded book hangover.

The book is written from both characters point of view which I always love but I think it works particularly well for this story as we can see what is happening to Poppy but we also get to hear Asher’s reasoning behind why he does what he does. It gives the story extra depth and you feel like you get to know the characters more. I mean did I mention Asher??? – Hmmmmm he can stalk me any day !

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I’m definitely going to be looking out for more. It is without doubt one of the best books that I have read so far this year!
Be prepared to go on a crazy roller coaster with this story, one minute you hate and then you love – it’s certainly had me questioning my sanity (I still LOVE Asher though!!)

It’s a full 5 stars for Endless Obsession.

I have been patiently (not really) waiting for Alex Grayson’s next book, and believe me this book is so worth the wait. I was literally consumed with Poppy and Asher from page 1. My sanity is now in question … I am not joking. How did Alex make me fall in love with Asher? No seriously I should be really questioning myself because I love this book so much. I have been a hardcore fan of Ms. Grayson from her first book, but this book is like anything she has ever written. It’s the best book it date!

This book is told from both Poppy and Asher’s POVs, which is exciting. I wanted to see what was happening behind the scenes and of course I wanted a front row seat to the man himself in action. Asher plays a major role in Poppy’s life in more ways than one. In her daily life, Asher is someone Poppy has come to respect, but behind closed doors he is someone completely different. Someone who Poppy doesn’t know exists and someone who has become completely obsessed with her every move. Asher knows Poppy is his from the moment he sees her, but there are things he is hiding. It’s also more than meets the eye. There are secrets all around both Poppy and Asher and both are in for a wild ride.

Poppy is such a loving character. I adored her very much. Asher on the other hand… I honestly didn’t know how to feel. At times, I was angry and at times swooning. I swear Ms. Grayson has a way to make you fall completely in love with men you wouldn’t normally. She opened my eyes to a new love for Asher and I look at him completely different now than I did before. Yes, this story is a crazy ride from start to finish, but it’s perfection! I loved this book so hard and I can’t wait to see what Alex brings next.

It was a little over the top but it was ok. Two men obsessed with the same woman and both stalked her, and they both had keys to her house, and she was oblivious that they sit right to her while she slept. It was a little ridiculous but I enjoyed it nevertheless.
