Bailey Sheppard has loved Nick Heart for as long as she could remember. They had been best friends in school and had graduated to a friends with benefits arrangement after she left home to study at a University two states away. Their once a month weekends were the highlight of her life, when he would fly in to visit her and she would have him all to herself for the entire, uninterrupted weekend. And then he told her he was getting married. Bailey’s perfect world was threatening to implode and she had to do something to set it to rights. She needed Nick in her life, she wanted to be the one he married and lived happily ever after with. So she hatched a plan to stop the wedding and steal the groom. And then she met Hunter. Hunter Green, the reclusive aviation billionaire offers to act as her boyfriend to make the groom jealous and help her put a stop to the wedding. But his beautiful green eyes and the way he makes her feel when he touches her cause her to question her loyalty and feelings towards Nick. Oh, and he just happens to be Nick’s stepbrother. Now she has feelings for Hunter that won’t be denied, but what does that mean for her future with Nick? Does she take a chance on a new relationship with Hunter or should she stay the course and reach for the happily ever after she’d always imagined with Nick?

I am a business owner, artist, cook, mother and wife. I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia with my wonderful husband, two beautiful sons, a dog and a cat (both of which are female because, hey, we needed to balance all that testosterone!)
I am a ferocious reader with eclectic tastes and have always wanted to write, but never had the opportunity due to one reason or another (excuses, really) until finally taking the bullet between my teeth in 2014 and just making myself do it.
I love to write stories with heart and a message and believe in strong female characters who do not necessarily have to be aggressive to show their strength.
I loved this book. Hunter and Bailey are so cute. I feel like I needed more at the end. More of Hunter and Bailey instead of just disappearing into the hotel room. I am so glad Bailey was finally able to see the light and see that Hunter was hers and not Nick! I got pretty annoyed at the factHunter just read into things and took them wrong instead of speaking to Bailey and getting is sorted out. It would have saved them so much heartache. But all is well that ends well.
This is a book that has been on ‘my to be read list’ about a month I got free on Amazon. And I about a month. I have to say it was actually really, really cute. Now, if sex talked and acted out is not for you this is not your book. It’s meant for the over 18 crowd for sure.
But, the angst is funny. It’s about a friend with benefits and no strings attached to the couple who have known each other all their lives. But come on no strings for at least one of them. Well, you can only guess which one, Bailey. When they are meeting for their once a month weekend, this guy Nick does the nasty with her showers and says by the way Bae this will be the last time because I’m getting married in six months. But after the dust settles, we can resume.
She asks herself over and over me. We are special together no matter who else we dated. He says I could never cage my wild bird that you are, you would hate me. Plus, my father arranged this. Then, he kisses her and leaves.
About a week or two later, her roommate could not take it anymore threw her behind in the shower. She made her dress nice so they could go out to a bar and have fun. Sitting at the bar on her third vodka a guy sits next to her handsome, is not strong enough, gorgeous emerald eyes, and jet-black hair with a nice beard she thought.
Then, she thinks she’s only thinking and wonders how it feels kissing him with the beard? He responds, ‘Would you like me to kiss you.’ When she realizes the feeling is much more intense than she ever felt with her ex-Nick.
This one and done was a twist though he leaves a note saying he wouldn’t mind kissing her again and leaves his number. She knew he was a special man and didn’t want him to feel like a rebound. Six months later they meet again on a flight to the same wedding. He exes and little does she know his hated stepbrother’s. He hatches this plan to break up this wedding with her. The angst is unbelievably funny.
The one thing that bothered me is the amount of alcohol Bailey consumes throughout the book. Adding to the funny, yes. For such an accomplished young woman that’s a lot of drinking and still function. Still, it was fun and sad about how our human nature is to assume things instead of asking and talking about it. Her Nick is a douchebag.
I loved this book. So much. So damn much. I didn't go into this expecting much because, let's face it, most billionaire stories are about a rich guy who has loads of women who ends up getting tied down by the one woman he'd never expect. But this was not that story. And I absolutely loved the newness this story gave off.
Bailey is in a friends-with-benefits relationship with her childhood best friend, Nick. They see each other once a month and have a no holds barred hot weekend together. They've been doing this for five years. Bailey has finally got it into her mind to tell Nick she wants more when he drops a bomb that he's getting married. But that they can continue their relationship after he gets married... What a dick right?
Bailey goes to drown her sorrow in alcohol at a bar where she meets Hunter. They have a sexy, fun, passionate one night stand. They never learn each others names. His nicknames her Blue and she nicknames him Irish. He runs out the next morning. He leaves her his number but she never calls...
Well, six months later Bailey decides she's not okay with being Nick's mistress. She has it in her mind to break up the wedding. She ends up running into Hunter again in the airport on her way to wedding crash. Hunter realizes she's not only his Blue, but she's also the Bailey from the PR firm he hired and she's also hung up on his douche bag stepbrother, Nick.
He convinces her to use him as a way to get Nick jealous and they attend the wedding together. Shit hits the fan so many times that your jaw will literally be on the floor throughout the entirety of this book.
This book was seriously like a breathe of fresh air when it comes to reading "billionaire" books. Hunter is not your typical billionaire romance hero. And I couldn't help but absolutely adore him. I wish I coud get more from these two! -.-
This story contains probably the most horrible h ever written.... Bar none!
On the plus side, I enjoyed the storyline and will read the next book in the series.
On the negative side...
1. The h is beyond pathetic. Her monthly hookup friend announces that he is marrying another woman but he wants to keep the h as his periodic hookup... and she is OK with this. Really... WTF!
2. Nearly 3 of the first 5 hours of the story is completely repetitive with the h whining about getting her piece of shit hookup back. It is absolutely constant and I had to skip forward so my head would not explode. HOW CAN SOMEONE BE THIS OBLIVIOUS TO REALITY!!!
3. The h slowly realizes that she loves the H and that the POS is not worth her time. In between, she is willing to meet him in her hotel room to talk. The H tells her that the POS just wants to use her for sex and she gets mad at him. Low and behold, he just wants sex. She let's him kiss her before she tells him no.
Towards the end, she wants to tell him that she loves him; however, she cannot find 2 minutes to tell him... which leads to the final conflict.
This story would have been much better without the massively repetitive whining and internal dialog from the h - which would have made the story 5.5 - 6 hours instead of 8.25 hours.

Bailey is a fucking idiot! Just a entire fool. Even the most inexperienced person would know better than to put up with half the shit Nick put her through, but this business woman isn’t smart enough to recognize the truth? She can smack the shit out of Hunter but not Nick? She loves Nick’s cheating, lying ass but Hunter has to jump through mad hurdles for her? Fuck all this bullshit! I’m sorry but I’m beyond pissed at this broad. 😑

I absolutely loved this book! My favorite character is Bailey, aka Blue and Bae. She really is the girl next door who doesn't fit in a box. She had some really funny moments that had me laughing out loud. (Favorite moment is when they girls get together to put together the wedding favors and she gets a little tipsy and eats a bunch of the chocolates. This shouldnt be funny except the bride hadnt ordered extras and Bailey becomes chatty when shes tipsy) In the beginning, we see that she has a five year 'relationship' with Nick of monthly meetings to hook up and spend time together. All that is about to change for awhile because Nick wants to put things on hold while he gets married. But dont worry he wants to continue once his wife is all settled in (jerk). Then we meet Hunter. Bailey is trying to drink away her sorrows when the handsome man walks into the bar and sits down next to her. The real kicker is that we eventually find out that he is Nick's stepbrother! Doesnt that complicate things. Anyways not to give away any spoilers but this is a great love story and has a good ending. You will just have to read it to find out which one she ends up with. On a side note, a blowjob is not a good wedding gift lol
This was my first Emma Lea book and I liked because of the different setting (in Australia) which I find refreshing. The only issue I had was how cliche it was from beginning to end and most of it were already predictable. The inner musings of both characters were too sex packed for my taste. I was not too impressed with Bailey either and I did not get how Hunter thought of her as amazing when they just met. So to me the admiration was mostly towards her physical attributes rather than her mind and that saddens me. And I think Hunter fell far too easily for my liking.
Okay this book was amazing and had such amazingly hot smut in it.
Hunter and Bailey were goals. I loved them so freaking much because honestly.. the other couples were annoying twatwaffles. Nick and Ainsley, ugh.. they were beyond frustrating to read about. Both were stupid and one was horny as fuck and didn't care that he was basically cheating on his fiancé the entire fucking time. Then his wife. Ainsley just acted like it didn't matter.. but thought her vagina was going to be so god damn magical that he would forget all the other vagina's out in the world.
lmfao. sure girl.
So let me go into some back story. Nick and Bailey were friends with benefits. She didn't know he was engaged but she still thought he was going to end up picking her over the other girl. Yeah, right..
Enter Hunter, who was hot as fuck. Ugh, if this was audio I would expect a hot ass accent from this man. Anyhoo.. he's a one night stand that eventually become a fake boyfriend.. that she comes to fall in love with. In the end, they were adorable and I shipped them so freaking hard. I can't wait for the next book guys!
Blue and Irish are a cute couple. They way they meet and get together are cliche and enjoyable. They did have the amazing chemistry and their story was filled with just enough drama. Bailey and Nick were friends with benefits and they were going on for 5 years. She always thought tha they were going to end up together. Nick is douche that wants to keep her as a dirty secret. He is getting married to someone that is not her.Nick getting married and meeting an Irish guy in a bar made her realize her self worth and decides to sabotage Nicks wedding to get Nick back. But her plans come to a stop when she meets Nicks step brother Hunter green,A billionaire who hates Nick and doesn't even want to attend the wedding., the same guy she met at the bar.Hunter is a awesome book boyfriend he is sweet and sexy at the same time. I did like the book but i don't think it is re read worthy.because i was bored at some points.not that I don't like the smut but i was just bored at those points.and Bailey was some times a push over. But the book really was enjoyable and a fun read.
Enjoyed the story as a whole, although it was a bit repetitive with the character' inner dialog. Also, I know beards are the big thing these days, but I'm not and never have been a fan of them. Scruff or a goatee, yes...full on beards, no. Yes, I understand that's my personal taste, and I tried to not focus on that in the story. However, the fact he has a beard came up a lot and that would pull me out of the story. So for me, it distracted.
“I really like your beard.” “It’s not a beard Blue. It’s a saddle” 🫠
I really liked it, I didn’t know what to expect but it kept me entertained and I liked Hunter and Bailey a lot. Sometimes I don’t really like fake dating/engagements because that usually means one of them is hung up on someone else and that just bugs me 🫣 but I was glad she wasn’t hung up on Nick to long and really embraced her feelings for Hunter.
CUTE!!! Hunter and Bailey-or Irish and Blue- are amazing together. What started as trying to break up a wedding turned into so much more, and although cliché it totally works! Also, I can’t wait to read Jon’s story if there’s a book about him;)
This one was really good. Loved the relationship between "Blue" and "Irish"( a little spoiler ,wink wink).I enjoyed this book so much, can't wait to read rest of the series ! 4/5 stars
If girls like this Bailey are real - in the romantic way - I feel pathetic to be a female. From the first chapter, she was the kind of character that's the secondary, bitchy, whiny, spoiled girl that nobody likes. And my God, is she stupid!! The arrangement was set, only sex on weekends and though she wanted more, she did nothing to change it, only 'hoping it'll happen eventually'. And then when the SOB turns it around 360, she does the wrong thing. Here's a guy she thinks she's so in love with, getting married and wanting to keep her as mistress, and she thinks "he's so great that I must stop this wedding - but if it doesn't work out, I'll be his side piece". Come on girl, he didn't have a magic penis!
Things get messed up, what with Hunter and their explosive attraction and his relation to the man she's in love with who's getting married to another women and getting her involved with the wedding. But I guess a guy who says 'let's keep having sex in secret after I'm married' wouldn't think anything of making Bailey a bridesmaid. Why not, right?
And the stupidity of Bailey is just beyond me. She wants Nick, she loves Nick but it was just sex and friendship for years between them and now he's engaged and she's sleeping and catching feelings for another guy. Still, it's always been Nick. Yeah, right!!
I liked Hunter, loved him, actually, and his only fault seemed to be allowing himself attachment to the crazy case that is Bailey. Oh, and that thing at the end with the 'stripper wedding gift'.
I look forward to the other books in the series and hope they're better. I just hate a weak, naive heroine, hate them. But if she weren't going to come to her right mind, then she would've deserved her 'side piece' role.
Hot and Steamy. It’s easy to fall in love with Hunter.

Hot and steamy, I think I need a man like Hunter in my life.
Bailey is dumped and while drowning her sorrows meets Hunter. They have an instant connection and mind blowing sex but Bailey brushes it off because she is still hung up on her ex.
Six months down the line she’s on her way to crash her ex’s wedding in the hopes that he will change his mind. Bailey runs into her one night stand heading to the same wedding. They agree to fake a relationship to make her ex jealous.
Hunter almost instantly falls for Bailey and is determined to prove to her that Nick is not the man for her but he is.
It was frustrating at times trying to work out what Bailey saw in Nick, he didn’t seem to have any real redeeming qualities other than his looks and the fact he was adequate in the bedroom department. Thankfully it didn’t take Bailey too long to realise for herself what a pr*ck he was. Unfortunately, she didn’t make this clear to Hunter which caused a huge misunderstanding that could have ended their relationship.
I loved Hunter, there wasn’t a bad or mean bone in his body and it was a nice change to read a guy who can still maintain the possible dominance we all love without being a douche bag. He was sweet, thoughtful and funny and he built his women up. As a cherry on the top he had a wonderfully filthy mouth and the moves to match it.
Even though I was not a big fan of this plot about Irish (Hunter) to play a fake boyfriend to help Blue (Bailey) to get the guy she likes back (Nick) and prevent he gets married. I must say that I enjoyed the fact that this guys were related, it was so awkward and funny.
I loved Irish from the beginning, and the mistery he and Blue had about their true names and how everything reveals itself in the most unexpected situations was so hilarious. Blue was also pretty well written and I loved when she got drunk, that woman was hilarious!!!
I really enjoyed the chemistry between this two, BUT I got a little frustrated with Irish a couple of times because he jumped to conclusions pretty quickly instead of ask for an explanation, and this will have prevented a lot of fights between this two.
I will definitely keep reading the other books in this series because the author let us know more about Irish's friends at the end and I want to read their stories.
There's too much I dislike about this book: the doormat heroine who's all too willing to let men use her, the heroine's slimy jerk of a friend-with-benefits, and the hero's conviction that our heroine is an amazing woman when he's never seen her when she wasn't inebriated and willing to fall into bed with the first handsome option. That's not an amazing woman, that's a lush with no self-respect. Added to that are some editing malapropisms, tense switches, and other errors. DNF.
