Who is she? Where did she come from? What's with the cape? The only one who knows about this strange and mysterious fish is an old turtle. Ask him, he loves to talk and that just might get him into a bit of trouble.
I am a writer, illustrator, graphic designer and a mom. I've lived in various places across the country but currently my heart is in the Bay Area. I have two sweet children, two dogs and a mini-cactus named spike. In my free time (ha ha ha), I like to read books, jog slowly, cook badly and sleep rarely.
Cute l'il picture book about a cape-wearing super fish, who goes about saving various aquatic creatures, narrated by a turtle who captures photographic evidence of its super awesomeness!
I don't understand how this book has as many stars as it does. Maybe other people got it (and book 2) for free too, so that's affecting their reviews? I don't know. I find the turtle/narrator's language to be annoying and the story is kind of underwhelming, though the illustrations are bubbly and cute in their own way. A girl superhero fish has potential to be awesome, but that's lost in the silliness of it all. Save a couple of minutes and find yourself (and/or your kids) a different book to read.
Cute book for toddlers and preschoolers that is narrated by a talkative turtle who is one hundred and two years old. Every visitor under the sea asks about a tiny purple fish, who Is smaller than a penny and wears a cape. Even more remarkable, this fish has super powers. She was able to save the turtle from falling off the deep end and rescue a starfish trapped under an ancient shipwreck. When the turtle demands that the purple fish display her powers to us, he gets a surprise that he did not expect.
Humorous, nicely illustrated tale rich in beautiful colors and eye pleasing characters, complete with speech bubbles, this is a fun read aloud or bedtime story, especially recommended for children under age five
What a swell story this was with such a great moral lesson in it!
Wow! This sure was a wonderful short story with a powerful lesson in it.Also had some beautiful brilliantly colored illustrations, too. For these reasons, I would like to recommend this for five stars and for kids 0-7 years old who just loves reading or hearing great animal bedtime stories. I received this ebook for free and in return, here's my honest review. Great job Mary Lee! By Angela
Super Fish Children's colorful book about how one super fish saved the other fish. They are as small as a penny. After he was saved, the superfish went on to save a starfish that was trapped under a shipwreck. The fish has everything documented on a camera if you don't believe him. They are able to show the super fish in action. So funny and silly. Other works by the author are highlighted at the end. .
I liked the positive female superhero. But it wasn't very engaging in my opinion. The illustrations were cute, but there wasn't much of a story.
Also the anti-shark/jellyfish dedication was a little annoying. Don't teach kids sharks are bad just because they eat other fish. They are an important part of the ecosystem.
A cute little story told by a turtle who claims to have met the famous Super Fish, with her purple cape and her super-strength and super-hearing. She helps sea creatures in trouble, and the turtle tells the story of how Super Fish saved him.
The illustrations are cute! The story is funny and snappy! This would be a good book to read aloud to children and make funny voices for the characters.
A very cute short book. Super adorable pictures and a cute and 2 funny stories that will entertain kids of all ages. Just a few words per page so don't expect a full novel, but I enjoyed it anyway. :)
My kids loved this book! They really enjoyed when Super Fish saved the starfish. This book is a great read aloud for young children. (Mine are 3 and 6).
