His Secret...or Her Salvation?

But the only way he knew to accomplish that was to make her one of his own. Now Kaitlin Davies was half Lycan and his responsibility as she underwent a dangerous transformation to full wolf.

Something within Kaitlin called to Michael's inner wolf with an intensity he'd never felt. He wanted her. But as he witnessed the changes occurring in her body, he wasn't sure what she was becoming. Hello wolf fans and pack mates . . . HALF WOLF is my latest Were book in a long line of them. And I hope you will come along for this wild ride.

Welcome to the campus of Clement College, where students and staff have been gong missing lately, and Kaitlin Davies is about to have her own near-death experience. Luckily for her, sexy Alpha wolf Michael Hunter is on hand to see that she survives... even if it means she might become HALF WOLF.
** But still . . . what is she wasn't quite 100 one hundred percent human to begin with? What then?
Do come and see what Kaitlin will become . . .

Wow, we got a new look into this world. Kate and Michael's connection is strong, but their feelings are in turmoil from the start. Adjusting to all that is new for them, change, uncertainty of how that would turn out, problems with new threats . I also loved the way how two great alphas worked together. Dylan and Michael are amazing together. What intrigued me more is side characters. I would love to learn more about Devlin, Cade and Rena, to have their stories told. The whole new world is opening up with this one. I can see in the future that Fae will be big part of future books, Kate's parents... there is so much more to explore. I hope that Dev, Cade and Rena will be a big part of it :)

I came across this book in the July 16 offerings from Mills and Boon (Harlequin UK) Nocturne series, it is the first book that I have read of Linda Thomas-Sunstrom and all I can say is boy it will not be my last!!
What I loved about this book is that even though it is part of a series you can pick it up and read it on its own, although I am now going to go back and get the back catalogue to get the stories of Dylan, Adam, Tory who are really likeable characters and add depth to the story with their interactions and their parts in the story.

The story centres around Kaitlin who is saved after an attack on her University campus by Alpha Wolf Michael, but it is soon clear that Kaitlin is not all that she seems to be! The story is faced paced and keeps you guessing as to what Kaitlin could be with the background storyline of the hunt for a bad guy wolf which does not detract your attention at all and run very well together, integrating all the characters who are all very likeable and padded out three dimensional characters who you do care about what happens to them. I loved the growing closeness and relationship between Kaitlin and Michael and really felt that they belonged together despite the odds, the story built up to a gripping ending that kept me gripped to the end.

I can't wait to read the other books that are already out in this series, Linda Thomas-Sundstrom's other works and also future works!!

There's a reason why this wolf series has fast become my favorite! Each new book just keeps getting better! Page turning, non-stop action. Half Wolf has an amazing cast of characters and this author has a way of making each one memorable. Kaitlin is a very intriguing character and I was on pins and needles throughout the book trying to figure out what was going on with her and worrying about what was going to happen to her. Kaitlin and Michael had smoking chemistry! I loved Michael! Brave, strong, loyal and compassionate. Michael's pack included Devlin, Cade and Rena. I would love to see these three back in future stories!! They were awesome!! And I really enjoyed having the some of the pack from Miami in the story! I love those characters!! I was sad when the story ended.

Absolutely loved this book! The storyline was filled with twists that kept me wondering "what the heck?". One of the rare "must put down, can't put down" down books for me. Especially during the last 1/2 to 3/4 of the book. Kaitlin's otherness was intriguing. I just HAD to find out what the other half was!

"Interesting mythology and sparkling descriptions make Thomas-Sundstrom’s book a keeper. The descriptions of Michael and Kaitlin’s love of the moon after she’s bitten are particularly good" (4 stars, RT Book Reviews).

A new wolf shape-shifter has been created by Linda Thomas-Sundstrom, and I instantly fell in love with this compelling hero. Michael Hunter has traits that are all his own, and he proved himself to be compassionate when needed. The heroine, Kaitlin Davies, is even more unique, and the disclosures about this spirited woman often left me amazed. With an innovative plot plus a large group of fascinating supernatural beings, HALF WOLF is constantly entertaining.

When Kaitlin Davies left the university library and was returning to her apartment, she had no idea how much was about to change in just a few moments. Becoming the target of a vampire almost ended her life, but another type of creature saved her from dying. Upon giving consent for Michael Hunter to keep her alive, Kaitlin is in for a shock when she learns how her future would be forever altered. Now her body is transforming from a human to something much different.

Though Michael knew vampires were responsible for the disappearance of several people who had gone missing lately near Clement College, he never thought about being put in the position where his Lycan capabilities would be used to save someone. But while out patrolling the campus one night, he comes upon Kaitlin only minutes from dying. Then an impulsive decision is made by the Alpha wolf to make her like him. As Michael stays near the once human female as her body begins to change, he admires the way she is unwilling to give in to the fears that could consume her. But when her transition is not at all normal, both he and Kaitlin are in for one surprise after another.

There is always originality in a story by Linda Thomas-Sundstrom, and HALF WOLF is one of her most inventive. Several species of beings are in the book, and each one is portrayed in very special ways. Werewolves have traits that are only found in paranormal books by this author, while vampires featured in the story definitely do not have any romantic thoughts. There is even another race making an appearance, where little is known and mysteries abound. Folklore related to any of these groups is definitely attention-grabbing, and many of the legends are given their own distinct twist.

The premise of HALF WOLF is extremely imaginative. I was instantly drawn into the storyline, as Michael and Kaitlin are facing so many challenges from the very beginning. Although he knows saving a human by possibly turning her into a Lycan should not occur, he feels not letting her die is more important than following the rules of his kind. The gentleness Michael shows to Kaitlin won me over, but it was the strong connection between them which really pulled me in their lives. There are several times in the story where the author had me experiencing the powerful feelings this couple felt for each other, as every moment is backed with such sincere responses. How they are now linked leads to passionate encounters where desire is almost uncontrollable. The reactions of Kaitlin to what is going on in her life came across as very realistic, and I felt for her as she tried to adjust to all the new happenings.

In previous stories by Linda Thomas-Sundstrom, wolf shifters who live in Miami were introduced, and some of them come to the college town with a specific purpose in mind. Their books do not have to be read in order to understand what is going on, but learning about them would make you want to find out what had been missed.

Wow!! This has to be the best book in this series yet!! Weres, vamps, and a secret "other"-- I have to give a lot of credit to LTS for writing paranormal stories that aren't so far out there, that they insult my intelligence. Great characters and storyline makes for an entertaining and exciting read.

I'm a fan of Linda's work, plain and simple, and read all of her books. What stood out about this one was the opening death scene.... when life is draining away from college student Kaitlin Davies. wow. And later on, finding out what her other HALF is. I also love how Linda brings in cameos of characters from the other wolf books, and we get to see them again. I feel like I know these people (werewolves), and am glad to be part of their world one book at a time.

What a thrilling adventure. Great, solid characters and a fast-paced, engaging storyline full of action suspense and romance. I loved Kaitlin and the mystery surrounding her origins, which was a very nice twist to the story. Michael was a great Alpha and his chemistry with Kaitlin was smokin’. I also liked that his pack backed him all the way, regardless of any misgivings over the situation they were thrust in to. It was nice to see the additional characters, Dylan and his crew coming to assist, as well. I enjoyed how they all worked together with no conflict to eliminate the threat to them all. This book was definitely a page-turner and exciting from beginning to end.
