Rate this book
Dymanee’, Ivy and Lovely are best friends that lived similar lives from the day they were born. As they were growing up, they were the children within their family that moved up the economic ladder with their parents like the Jeffersons. They lived their formative years in the hood, and by middle school, they moved to PG County. The middle class blacks see them as hood, and their part of family that hasn't moved out of the hood see them as bourgeois or trying to be something they’re not. Battling within both worlds turned them into bawse bitches.Welcome to their world! After two tragic break-ups, Dymaneé decided to focus on her growing publishing company, while navigating through her own personal jungle and staying clear of all dope boys. But the sexual chemistry between she and Syncere throws a monkey wrench into the plan. Syncere has been single for a year, but his ex, Genesis, wants her kingpin back. He’s been contemplating getting out of the game, but will the cost of leaving be too much to pay? Will Dymaneé throw caution to the wind and give Syncere a chance, while he’s trying to figure out what path he’s going to take? If she does, will Syncere fall back into the clutches of the life? Will Genesis win her kingpin heart back?Ivy has everything she asked God a blossoming career as a stylist, a knight and shining armor and a bonus baby. After giving up on trying to get her biological family on common ground, she makes a point to keep her house full of love. She loves her life and would do anything to keep it, but Jaycion's baby mama, Trina, will do anything to make Jaycion's life a living hell. Will Ivy stay or will she flee?Lovely is all about building her real estate business, staying as far away from her family as she can and trying to avoid the feelings she has developed for Ace. Will the feelings Lovely and Ace have for each other make them both forget about the woman in his life? Will she tell what she knows about his girlfriend, Bailey, or will she let Bailey's secret come to light on its own?

Once I finally started reading this book, the storyline held my attention as these people brought the drama. I liked Nay & Syn together. Genesis was definitely in the way. Her conniving ways made her an easy character to dislike. I also liked the fact Nay & her girls were able to hold their own against any who decided to go up against them. Looking forward to the next part!
