Superhero

Rate this book
The debut work of Vladimir Dika presents the dramatic story of an anonymous superhero, who, along with extraordinary supernatural power, also possesses the purely natural and immanent to every human being weaknesses.

The story takes us into an imaginary megapolis, where the Superhero is sitting on the rooftop of one of the hundreds of supermarkets, spread all over the city. He is drinking his coffee and pondering over his own actions from a week ago, when he captured and put into jail a young boy, who had committed a robbery, just to discover, a few days later, a terrifying truth that is about to change his superhero life forever.

Along with the idea that our society does not need superheroes in the sense of ‘superhumans with supernatural powers’, protecting it from evil and crime, the story touches on topics, such as the relativity of the terms ‘good’ and ‘bad’, the balance of our existence, upbringing, and others. ‘Superhero’ is a story to read on a single breath, which leaves a memorable trace in one’s mind. It will keep your brain wondering around the subject of the supernatural, as well as the ordinary, the mundane, and the purely human things.
