Body Armor #2

Hard Justice

Rate this book
Playing it safe has never felt so dangerous

Justice Wallington knows how to harness his strength and intimidating size, skills he put to good use first in the MMA cage and now as a bodyguard at the Body Armor agency. But no opponent has ever left him feeling as off balance as his new client, heiress Fallon Wade. Far from a spoiled princess, she's sweet and intriguingly innocent. It's a risk-free assignment, until he's required to fake a relationship with her in order to blend in.

Sheltered from the world after a family tragedy, Fallon longs to experience life, going to bars, dancing, talking to strangers. Not easy with a huge, lethal-looking bodyguard shadowing her every move. Justice seems like her polar opposite, but pretending to be a couple stirs undeniable heat. And when danger strikes again, it's not just her safety in jeopardy, but a passion that's real, raw and absolutely against the rules.

Fallon is very sheltered. She is trying to spread her wings but her parents will only let her if she is protected due to something that happened to her in the past. Justice is her sexy protective bodyguard that is intrigued by the unique contrast that is Fallon. She is adventurous but cautious. She is innocent but curious. She is open to new experiences but somewhat held back by her past. These two have good chemistry and they have the opportunity to explore it while working together.

I enjoyed the story because the connection between the characters felt genuine. The plot was interesting though it could've done with a little more insight into the antagonists. The book fit well with the current series and brought with it some cameos from characters in the Ultimate series. The previously established characters felt true to how they were portrayed in their own books.

The writing was strong and the pacing on point. Safety: No others for either, though Fallon has an ex featured in the story. No rape. Yes to abuse.

Slick's review:

The second book in Lori Foster’s Body Armor series, Hard Justice was simply fantastic. I’m a sucker for good guy alpha heroes and Justice Wallington fits that description perfectly and reminds me so much of one of Foster’s earliest MMA fighter heroes (and my all time favorite) Dean Havoc. I liked the contrast between Justice’s big, tough alpha ex-fighter, turned bodyguard side and his compassionate, sweet, caring lover of all the women in his life side (and no I’m not talking multiple girlfriends, I’m talking his mom, grandmother, and Fallon Wade, the woman he was hired to protect). More than that, I appreciated that this couple respected one another, were drawn to each other’s inner spirit, and that they both felt an immediate connection. As always Ms. Foster blends the perfect amount of sweet sexiness with a bit of suspense and a whole lot of teasing friendship and serves up a fun and flirty romance.

Justice is hired by Fallon’s overprotective parents to escort her as she strives to become more independent. The moments between Justice and Fallon’s dad were quite comical, but I also felt they went a long way to Justice proving himself and his dedication and work ethic. Fallon’s mom claims she chose Justice because he was the total opposite of the type of guy Fallon would fall for, I can’t help but wonder if she actually thought she might go for him. While Fallon’s parents smothered her following the accident that took her sister’s life and left her scarred, I believe they meant well and it was clear she had a good relationship with them and didn’t want to hurt them or make them worry. I really loved that Justice wasn’t intimated by the Wade’s money or power and just wanted to do a good job, but resisting Fallon proved to be a much bigger job than he ever expected.

I loved Fallon, she was a sheltered and a bit naïve and given her family’s wealth she could have been a typical rich snob, but she was very down to earth, strong, and determined to prove she could deal with her own problems. She blossomed during her time with Justice and while I’m sure he’d like to take credit for all of it, I think it was a combination of her taking control over her life, making new friends, and finally living (and okay having Justice as a boyfriend didn’t hurt)!

This series is intertwined with Foster’s Ultimate series, so we are treated to scenes with all the original fighters from Cannon’s gym, the guys from the Body Armor agency, the intriguing Body Armor owner, Sahara Silver, and all blended together they make one intriguing group of people.

While there were some mysterious issues surrounding Justice and Fallon for the most part Hard Justice was low on angst and high on fun and falling in love making it a perfect romance for me.

Hard Justice was the second book in Lori Foster’s Body Armor series. The series was a spin off from her Ultimate series, where we first met Justice.

Justice Wallington was a former MMA fighter that now worked for Body Armor Security agency. He was still hard, toned and in fighting shape.

Fallon Wade was an heiress whose family had seen tragedy, which had prevented her from having a fun and normal life while trying to pave her way in the world.

Hard Justice was told with a dual POV. Justice was hired to protect Fallon as she began to venture out into the world. Foster outlined their initial meeting and then all follow up encounters while adding some suspense and mystery into the plot. It was a journey of acceptance, confidence, hope and love while solving the puzzle of unfortunate incidents that surrounded them. Foster also included the forever loved group of MMA fighters from the Ultimate series for added substance. Who doesn’t love a bunch of gorgeous alpha men and strong independent women?!

All in all, it was a fairly quick and entertaining read. It also set the stage for Miles’ story next in Close Contact while hinting towards Brand’s story in Fast Burn.

We all remember Justice from the first book in the series. He was new to the bodyguard agency. And now he's working one of his first solo jobs: stick close to heiress Fallon.
Justice expects this to be an easy job - keep a spoiled little princess safe.
But Fallon is not a spoiled anything. She's way too sheltered for a 24-year-old.
Her parents haven't let her do anything ever since what happened five years ago.
But now Fallon wants to live again - she wants to go out, have a drink, dance...just live.
And her hottie bodyguard is just the perfect guy to do all that with!

Mega attraction on both sides ... but it has to stay strictly professional, right? ☺

What will happen with Fallon & Justice??
Will we get a happily ever after??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT! ☺

ADORABLE!!!

I loved the first book in this series, and I loved this one just as much!
Justice and Fallon are sooo adorable!
He's the big, bad, former fighter turned bodyguard, with the death stare.
She's the sweet, sheltered, inexperienced, rich, daddy girl.
Two people who would've never met in real life, but who are so perfect for each other!

Of course it's not all cute and funny...
We have some very serious and mysteriously suspensy moments and some very moving moments and of course some very sexy moments too. ☺

This was the perfect Mystery Suspense Romance
(mystery because we don't know who the bad guys are!)

• funny • sexy • adorable • moving • exciting • suspensy •
I just loved reading it - finished it in one afternoon/night!
*warning* Unputdownable due to adorableness-overload!!!!

And I also really loved that we got to see all our old fighting guys again and of course the future bodyguards too!!!

HARD JUSTICE was a very lovely & moving & sexy & suspensy bodyguard romance! Run to your nearest amazon to get your own Justice to guard your body - this one is MINE!!!

Ready for book #3 now!!! ... Miles - coming in November, and next year in April we'll get Brand's book (might he be the one to take on Sahara???☺)

I am a huge Lori Foster fan and just like her other books, this book was a pleasure to read.

This is Justice and Fallon's story. And it is unique and lovely. There is some action for us action junkies too.

Justice is a former MMA fighter who has now joined his buddy Leese at being a bodyguard. Fallon is the daughter of a client, and his job is to protect her.

Fallon is a very sheltered twenty-four year old and only wants to experience some fun and independence. When Justice first shows up for his job she is stunned, he doesn't look at all like her former bodyguards. He doesn't talk like them either.

When Justice realizes exactly how naive and sheltered Fallon has been and how excited she is about all the little things and trying them, he falls a little. As time keeps moving he falls more and more and he finds himself looking forward to the next thirty days.

Fallon is so excited to have Justice as her bodyguard and thinks it is absolutely unnecessary. She wants him to have fun with her but at the same time doesn't want him interfering with her meeting other people. She doesn't want to share her secrets.

When Marcus, her ex, shows up to the the house she is afraid that what happened to her with him will be repeated and she certainly doesn't want to hear his apology. She also doesn't want to discuss it for fear of her secrets being known. He immediately puts Justice in a bad mood.

More and more they spend time together and if Justice can keep from getting himself fired in the process it will be a miracle. Fallon is fighting what feels like a battle between being independent from her parents and being over protected by Justice, but she just can't let him go.

This is a fantastic read and a great story. In it you'll catch up with some of Foster's other characters from previous books and series.

I adored the first book in the Body Armor series, but for me Hard Justice was just on another level of adorableness.

Fallon and Justice would never have met under normal circumstances, but now that they have, they really are MFEO.

Fallon - oh dear did my heart go out to her, but I loved her pluck, how she would no longer let fear rule her.

Justice is just all kinds of swoony. Tall, hard, tattooed - I need to get myself a bodyguard to find me one of him of my own!

There is a bit of mystery running in the background of our lovelies story, and there were a few red herrings thrown in there to put us off track.

I love the spark between our lovelies. From the first glances to the end, there was just something between them, even when they didn't want it to be there.

One thing though - the need for a bodyguard most of the time was pretty OTT by Fallon' parents, and I got frustrated for her with the way her father acted.

We get lots of Leese from the first book and the fighters from the Ultimate series, and I hope we get more of them in the future books.

Now we have a long wait until the 3rd book in the series hits our kindles :( But it will be worth it!

Book #2 in the Body Armor Series is a vast improvement over #1. We have hot, insta-lust coming off both H/h, a mystery that is slow to reveal itself and secrets that will take time to uncover. I just LOVE it! Nothing is as it seems and Justice has his job cut out for him protecting Fallon and at the same time keeping his hands off her.

Fallon, poor, little, rich girl. At 24 her overprotective parents have agreed to allow her some freedom but have hired Body Armor operative, Justice, to protect her. After their first "date" Justice has to dispatch 3 street thugs who try a purse snatch and gets fired. There is a really good reason for the overprotection, but the book is slow to reveal it. Fallon's family suffered a tragedy five years ago when her sister died. All Fallon wants to do is live a normal life and she wants to start doing that with Justice.

Justice was a good MMA fighter, but not great. When his friend, Leese, left the fight world for Body Armor he encouraged Justice to give the personal protection thing a try. Justice has finally found something he is great at. When he is hired to protect Fallon it all the willpower he can muster to keep his hands off her. Client, innocent, inexperienced. Those three things make her as taboo as a woman could get. But, Justice can tell himself that all he wants, the heart wants what the heart wants and Justice's heart (and body) want Fallon.

When acts of vandalism and other strange things start happening, Justice begins to think that there is something more then overprotectiveness to the Wade's concern for their daughter.

I loved this book. I was so intrigued by Justice in the first book in this series, and I was very much looking forward to his story. It definitely did not disappoint!

Justice used to be an MMA fighter in the SBC organization. He followed his friend, another former fighter, Leese, to the Body Armor agency to become a bodyguard. They both figured with their training, it would be a good transition. Justice is still pretty new to the business, but he's had a few clients of his own and he likes it a lot. He gets assigned to a new client, a 24-year-old woman whose parents insist she needs protection every time she leaves the house. Enter Fallon Wade.

Fallon has secrets. She's very guarded. She's been sheltered by her parents her whole life, but most especially after a terrible tragedy 5 years before, in which her sister died. She's put up with their smothering, because she knew how much they were hurting, and she felt responsible. But, it's starting to take its toll. She convinces her parents to hire a guard that will "blend in" in a crowd with her, so that she can go out, and have fun, and start to experience life again. Her mother picks Justice. Fallon doesn't understand how he can "blend in" anywhere, as he's 6'5", and muscular, and hot. She's attracted to him from the start, but doesn't think he would have any interest in her.

Justice is drawn to Fallon from the beginning. She's kind, and sweet, and beautiful. She's not uptight or snobby like he would expect a woman to be, who grew up the way she did. She's very private, but he wants to know so much more. Fallon has some major insecurities about her body, and most of them stem from her former boyfriend. He didn't react well to something the one time she tried to sleep with him. I don't want to give too much away, but she's very self-conscious, and doesn't really think Justice could possibly be into her. It takes some convincing, and of course, since she's Justice's client, he really shouldn't be getting involved, which makes things even trickier.

There was a suspense plot with some nefarious characters that remained unclear for a while. It kept you guessing as to who the bad guys were, and what they were after, which was great.

I really loved the slow burn of Justice and Fallon's relationship. They really start as new friends, and develop from there. They learn to really understand, appreciate, and trust each other, beyond the surface, and I loved their banter. As always, the side characters were fun and interesting too. I'm looking forward to Miles joining the agency and we got a sneak peek of who I assume will be his heroine. I'm very interested in finding out more about them both! Also, I got the feeling I know who Sahara's hero will be and I'm so excited! There was less about Sahara Silver (the owner of the agency) in this book, but I'm still as intrigued by her as ever. I can't wait to find out her story, and more about what happened to her brother!

And, the most fun was seeing all the fighters from the earlier Ultimate series. Cannon, Armie, Denver, Stack, etc. Getting to hear about their wives and babies and everything is so much fun, and I'm glad they still make cameos here and there.

I really loved this story and I can't wait for the rest!

Hard Justice had all the romance, suspense, friendship, hotness and action I have come to love in Foster's novels!

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Both Justice and Fallon were characters I enjoyed from when I first met them in Hard Justice. Fallon was a heroine who could have been impossible to enjoy or relate to, but even with her sheltered life and the tragedy in her past, she was a positive, strong character I loved more with each page. Justice wasn't an unknown to me, as he first showed up in the Ultimate series, and I have to say that he really shone in his role as both bodyguard and romantic lead.

The suspense in Hard Justice kept me guessing, and I really enjoyed that and the red herrings that made it that way. The sightings of other Body Armor characters as well as those I have grown to know and love from Foster's Ultimate series made things even better. Fallon fit right in with the guys, and I loved how Armie teased Justice about how closely he was watching her, even when he wasn't supposed to be working.

Romance was a big part of Hard Justice as well, and it was a slow burn that was extremely hot. And once Fallon and Justice realized they wanted to be together, their relationship fell into a smooth rhythm very nicely. Even with the danger they both faced when it came to the mystery and suspense part of the novel. The hotness and the closeness between Fallon and Justice was oh, so very sweet. Plus, I truly loved how Justice interacted with his mom and his grandma. It wasn't possible to not fall in love with him - and both Fallon and I were totally charmed.

Written in a close third person perspective, past in past tense and with enough dialogues to let the readers know the characters well, I can't point out a singe thing I didn't enjoy with Hard Justice. If you're a fan of romantic suspense, hurry up and get your own copy, then enjoy.

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

"Don't sweat it."
Fallon strangled on a breath. Dear God, he'd just told her mother not to "sweat it." In her memory, no one had ever spoken to the refined Mrs. Rothschild Wade in such a way. It was, Fallon decided, somewhat hilarious.

"It's a beautiful night, isn't it?" Dark clouds rolled over one another and humidity hung thick in the air. He liked storms. They made him horny.

This is the second book in the Body Armor series and I think I like it even more than the first! In book one we get broody, alpha Leese. Book two is still a tough protective body guard with Justice, but he has an easy going fun loving side that is irresistible!

Fallon is so sweet and innocent--not necessarily by choice--and she is more than willing to try and break out of that mold. Justice technically works for her father, but he is drawn to Fallon and wants to make her happy. If she gets to experience some more of the world outside her shelter, then he is happy to help.

This one has some great humor in it, a bit of heartbreak with Fallon's past and of course some suspense to keep the reader on their toes. Add in the chemistry between Justice and Fallon and we have a winner! Loved this one! Here's to hoping the series continues to blossom from here!

After reading UNDER PRESSURE, the first novel in the Body Armor series, I was anxious for Justice Wallington's story. We first met Justice in the Ultimate series, and Foster delivered a one-two punch that left me swooning. Justice left the MMA world to join Leese at Body Armor, an elite security service company. His first job seems low key. All he needs to do is protect an heiress named Fallon Wade. It was fun seeing Justice transform from fighter to a protector.

Fallon Wade isn't the entitled heiress he expected to encounter, and her parents seem awfully protective of their twenty-four-year-old daughter. Fallon's life has been very sheltered, and Justice soon realizes she hasn't experienced any of the firsts her peers would have. Fallon wants to experience life, and find her independence. She is refreshing, innocent, and brightens Justice's world. Things get complicated when a threat presents itself and thoughts of kissing her begin to consume him.

The suspense angle was intense with plenty of red herrings and suspects including a pushy ex-boyfriend. I loved how Foster used this threat, to allow Justice and Fallon to become closer as she exposes their pasts, vulnerabilities, fears and desires. I connected with both of them, even Fallon who I was sure I wouldn't like. Her story will gut you, and I found myself wiping away tears. I loved the moment when the cover made sense and thought Foster did an excellent job of wrapping up the suspense and ending their story.

From their chemistry to time spent with characters from the Ultimate series, HARD JUSTICE delivered an engaging, swoon-worthy, and action-packed tale that allowed me to slip into their world for a few hours. I cannot wait for news on the next book.

Fallon Wade is ready to spread her wings. As a concession to her parents worry, she agrees to a body guard. She has been very sheltered due to a accident years ago and even though she is a grown woman she hasn't experienced much can't wait to change that. When she sees her body guard she is taken aback by how tall and built he is and how attractive she finds him. She begins to really like him but due to her past is really insecure about anything more than friendship.

Justice Wallington didn't quite know what to expect from this body guard detail. With her money he was surprised at her innocence and wondered why a girl her age hadn't experience more and was surprised by her down to earth personality. It seemed a easy assignment but his attraction to her was making it difficult not to cross boundaries.

Things take a turn when there are attacks and while Fallon thinks it's no big deal Justice feels otherwise. Justice will do all he needs to keep the person he is falling for safe and Fallon needs to learn to let Justice if they are to have the relationship she wants. Justice also has to figure out the who behind all the incidents.

I liked this but wasn't blown away either. It was a nice story with a nice couple. Their are some great side characters. I think Fallon like many heroines always downplay any danger they might be in which for me can be irritating. She isn't TSTL though either. Justice was nice hero and all about the heroine. So it is a solid romance with some suspense. Enjoyable.

This is a sweet Lori Foster romance, but in my humble opinion, it's not among her best.
Justice sometimes sounded like in his early 20's, rather than a 30 year old. He was sweet to Fallon though, and I liked that.
These two had good chemistry going on and there is one sexy scene, of moderate steam, between them.
The whole 'mystery' behind the attacks was a little over the top and, I'd say, not very credible.
Overall an easy read with a hunky hero and a heroine that blossoms thanks to their love.

I just love stepping into another fictional world by Lori Foster and still getting a chance to get up close and sexy with many of the SBC fighters from the Ultimate series and spend some more time at Rowdy's at their personal hangout. It isn't long into Hard Justice that Lori has us readers hung up in the danger and excitement that surrounds all the hottie bodyguards at Body Armor securities and wishing we were the damsel being protected. Justice and Fallon have us wrapped up in their tension, angst, and suspense waiting for it to all culminate and explode with emotion.

Justice Wallington used to be a fighter for the SBC but now finds himself with a mission to protect a beautiful young woman that from the outside looks privileged and spoiled but turns out to be so much more! I adored getting to know this bear of a fighter who wears his heart on his sleeve and knows every sexy move in the book. If you are looking for a hulking hunk book boyfriend with a soft center, you don't have to look any further. Lori Foster has created one for her readers that will keep our hearts a pitter pattering throughout his story.

Fallon Wade appears to be a princess sitting in her rich mansion but really she has been struck by tragedy, permanently scarred, and is now living a sheltered life. Until Justice gets assigned as her personal bodyguard and expands her horizons in so many different ways. Fallon soon became a favorite heroine of mine and had me seeing all the beautiful things in life in a different light that we often take for granted and don't appreciate.

Lori Foster delivers another romance full of heroes that protect with both their big hearts and brawn, loveable characters, and loads of suspense! I highly recommend Hard Justice for a love story that offers another glimpse into the Body Armor security team that will have you begging for more of these yummy bodyguards and all of their MMA friends. Lori never fails to entertain and have us falling all over again for new and old characters!

Ok so I like seriously LOVE Justice!! Like seriously the kindest most kickass guy ever!! While I enjoyed Under Pressure I enjoyed this one so much more! Justice and Fallon were seriously adorable together and I totally love them as a couple!

We met Justice in Under Pressure as another newish body guard from the MMA world. He's huge, tall, and has a unique sense of style with his funky mohawk. Basically, completely the opposite of everyone in the Wade household. Fallon Wade is wealthy and very sheltered. Her parents don't want her to do anything remotely wild and hire a body guard for her when she decides to start branching out. Fallon and Wade begin to spend a ton of time together, and we slowly figure out why her parents have her on such a tight leash.

I really love Fallon! She is trying to branch out and discover more about herself and what she likes to do. She is totally strong and independent in such a subtle way that I really enjoyed. Her and Justice were just incredibly adorable together. Literally every interaction had me smiling! Just is honestly the NICEST guy ever!!! He is seriously so doting and adorable with Fallon. I love how he treats her like a princess but still encourages her to try her own thing! There is quite a bit of drama and sensitive issues that Fallon has to deal with and Justice is just so completely amazing and understanding about everything!!!!

At the point of writing this review I have read the first three books of the series and this one is my favorite! I absolutely adore everything that is Justice!

This was my first Lori Foster read and I can honestly say that I look forward to reading more from her. When I first read the blurb for Hard Justice, I was instantly hooked. I like the bodyguard to lover stories. We all secretly crave a little Kevin Costner in our lives, right? :)

What I like about this story more than some of the other bodyguard stories is Justice's background. He used to be a MMA fighter and with that comes a great group of friends that ties perfectly into the story. We get the sheltered girl who finally learns about the big bad world though the bodyguard. She's drinking for the first time, attending fights for the first time. Pretty much just doing everything for the first time.

There's a background of suspense with this story as well. There where times that I questioned what was really going on and who was behind all the drama that kept happening. Justice's friends from the MMA world also added to the drama a little bit but they provided so much color and laughter that you can't help but want to know each and every one of their own stories. Which I now know that some of these guys are from a past series so I'm going to have to read them!

While I prefer first person and dual POVs, the third person didn't bother me with this book. I think the writing was well written and the flow really helped me get over my own personal preference.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I found a new author that I can know add to my list. If you like that forbidden love between bodyguard and client with an added bonus of a possessively hot ex-MMA fight, then this book might be right up your ally!

With the second book in the Body Armor series, Hard Justice brings us the story of Justice Wallington and Fallon Wade. Right from the beginning we see that this is not going to be your "typical" bodyguard job- there weren't any threats to Fallon's life, no one was out to get her, and quite honestly I was a little confused as to why exactly she needed a bodyguard. To me it felt more like an date-for-hire kind of situation- her parents wanted someone to be there with her as she ventured out into the world, to experience things that as a 24 year old you would have already expected her to have experienced. It's apparent Fallon has led a very sheltered life- she's never been to a bar, or out dancing, or done any numerous things most 24 year olds take for granted. In the beginning I found the way her parents coddled and treated her to be a little off putting, and very old-fashioned. As the story went along and we find out more as to why she's been treated this way it was a little easier to accept.

Where Fallon is naive and innocent, Justice is everything you'd expect to find in a Lori Foster leading man- caring, protective, strong, dominate, commanding. He's not what you'd call refined, and next to Fallon and her parents that was quite apparent. But Justice is not one to stand on appearances so he doesn't let this hinder how he does his job, or as time goes on, his feelings for Fallon. He's very patient and tender with Fallon, allowing her to set the pace once he makes it known to everyone that there's more between them than just bodyguard and employer.

Hard Justice was not what I expected, when it came down to the storyline, and that was a nice surprise. Overall I enjoyed the mystery in this one, and without giving away the twist, I will say there were times the bodyguard needed a bodyguard. Ms. Foster did a great job keeping me on my toes, not knowing what to expect next.

DNFed after I read the following paragraph:

"Dark clouds rolled over one another and humidity hung thick in the air. He liked storms. They made him horny."

oh my god no. i will not be falling in love with a hero who gets horny when it rains 🤣

This was another great read from the great Lori Foster. I don't think there was a single book that she has written that I have read that I haven't really enjoyed and loved.

Ever since I heard the premise of this book I was so excited to pick it up read. I was dying to read it in fact. Despite this being book number two in the Body Armour series, I decided to read this one first before I read book one featuring Leese. This book featured alpha hero, former fighter turned bodyguard Justice aka Eugene protecting heiress Fallon.

I loved Justice. I loved his so much. He was hot. He was sexy. He was sweet and caring. And pretty much everything that a swoony hero should be. I loved him all the way through. He was such a good fit with Fallon that there really was no other option. They just worked, and I loved them together. He just did everything right with her. He was a sweetheart with her. I swooned just like Fallon. I could just go on and on about him and what I loved about him.

I loved Fallon too. She had this vulernable side yet she had the streak of feistiness to her that made her fought for what she wanted. Her independence. She was overprotected by her parents after an accident that killed her sister and badly burned Fallon. Fallon suffered not only for the loss of her sister, but all the treatments that she had to go through to heal from her injuries. And despite having the best care possible, she still had major scarring along her shoulder and upper chest area, which made her feel majorly self conscious especially after an incident with her ex Marcus. She was very hurt, and though she didn't want to be hurt like that again with a man, she still vied for independence from her smothering parents. She wanted to live, and not keep on hiding like she had for the past five years. That's where Justice came in, her parents hired him as her personal bodyguard so she could go out there and live but do it under the watchful eye of a professional so she wouldn't get hurt. Also they feared about the danger she could face. Justice was chose because he could "fit" in the surrounding instead of the inconspicuous bodyguards Fallon was used to. Anyway she fought for her independence and wouldn't let up because she knew that she needed to. I loved seeing that spunk in her and how she was determined to go out there. But I also hurt for her because of all that she went through in her life and the pain she faced both emotionally and physically. She went through a lot, and though it did keep her down for awhile, now she refused to, and with the help of Justice she was on her way.

I loved how the development of their relationship played out. I loved that they met and got to know each other and became friends first before anything happened between them. Yes, there was an attraction from the beginning, but it was so overwhelming and thick where that became the focus only. Over the coarse of the book, their friendship bloomed and turned into a romance along the way. It felt very real and believable because they knew each other and fell in love with the people that they were. It was a nice steady build up. It was nice to see that the caring and softer emotions were there before anything physical happened between them. This was a friends to lovers story just in a shorter span of time unlike other friends to lovers stories in romance, but it still counted. And I love those type of story. With Fallon and Justice it was great and made for a really great romance between the two of them.

I was surprised that there were less sexy times scenes in this book especially that I am accustomed to in Lori Foster books that I have read. Usually there are several, but in this one there was really only one huge love scene in the book where there were a few moments of sexy times, but over a constant forty to fifty page span. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, and the moment they had their first time was really beautiful and as much about their love and connection more than anything else, however I would have preferred maybe another scene or two in the book. But I did like in that long scene that it showed Justice's tenderness and caring for Fallon especially during Fallon's first time, even though it was really hard to resist the temptation of Fallon. He did it for her. He wanted her, and he wanted to show her that her scars didn't matter to him and that he was attracted to her regardless. For him, she was a temptation, but it was more than that because his heart was very much involved. I loved the part where they just held onto her in the aftermath and just kept her close. It was a really beautiful moment between them.

Another thing I really enjoyed seeing were some old friends from Lori Foster's old books, mainly from the Ultimate series. I loved the little cameos that were there, and really showed how tight knit they really were. There were friends and had a great friendship, yet they were really more like family than anything else. I wish we got a more of a view of the wives of the fighters too, but I could settle for seeing Armie, Cannon, Stack, and Denver too. It was just nice to see that comradery between them all. I loved all the teasing that they did especially towards Justice especially when it came to his feelings for Fallon before he gave into it. It just was nice to see that bond.

One thing that I didn't care for in this book was the side plot. Usually in Lori Foster books, there is a side that is filled with danger and suspense that has me on the edge of my toes and biting my fingernails and keep me on the edge of my seat. With this one I wasn't on the edge of my seat, or felt that element of danger like I have with the other Lori Foster books that I have read in the past. In fact I was bored with that plot and just felt that it wasn't enough to give that book the edge that I enjoy from reading Lori Foster books. I think the big reason I wasn't thrilled with the plot was there was no real suspense to it. I pretty much figured who the bad guys were and their motives behind everything early on. There was nothing to figure out or guess about. It was pretty much who I thought it was, and there was no array of suspects like in other Lori Foster books. For me, my adrenaline didn't pump, or my excitement was peek due to this plot point, instead it felt very flat to me, and a tad unrealistic. I just didn't like it.

I especially didn't like the fact that Marcus was a part of it, but not really. Marcus, I just didn't get or understand. His character didn't seem to fit his past actions. He was portrayed as this good guy, but he humiliated Fallon when she showed him her scars for the first time. Now I understand that it was shock for him at first, but the way that event came off it seemed like he was a real jerk and not that same guy that appeared later on in the book. It just didn't work. He didn't feel genuine of a character to me. I didn't like him. I appreciated that he warned Justice about the danger that might be facing Fallon and wanting to protect her, but it still didn't jive for me. It was just really weird for me.

Though this wasn't my favorite Lori Foster book of all time, I did like it and enjoy it very much. The romance really did it for me, but the sideline plot with the brothers did not. I wanted more danger. I wanted more suspense because to me there was very little suspense there. Probably because I figured it out pretty quickly so therefore there was less suspense for me. I wanted to feel the adrenaline rushes as I read the story with danger lurking the background. I didn't feel like they were a genuine threat, even though they were, instead they just felt like really weak villains with nothing really to back it up. Their motive was just messed up, and to me didn't make a lot of sense. It fell flat and at time just felt really forced. It was just weird. As for the rest of the book, I really thoroughly enjoyed it especially anytime Justice and Fallon were featured. Justice, I loved him so much just like I love so many of the alpha males that Lori Foster creates. He was just so yummy. So sexy. So sweet. There really wasn't anything not to like about him. He was everything a swoony hero should be. I just loved him to pieces. I loved seeing their romance bloom over the coarse of the book. I loved seeing how it all developed. I loved that Fallon and Justice became friends first then gradually fall in love. They had some really sweet, beautiful moments together that I couldn't help but adore. I rooted for them all the way, and I loved every moment they spent together. I wish they had more moments together even though they spent a majority of the book together. I still wanted more. Them as a couple just really worked for me.

I can't wait to read Leese's book as well as Miles and Brand's upcoming books in this series. I'm intrigued where it could possible head. I think I know who Miles and Brand's leading ladies will be, but only time will tell. I'm curious about what their upcoming storylines will be.

*Great big happy sigh* Hard Justice is a must read! Justice, this big bad hot MMA fighter, is such a big softie. I totally fell in love with his humor and the way he talked and how he was so sweet to his mom and grandma. And I absolutely loved his interactions with Fallon. They were just too cute together. So much chemistry and sexiness between the two. Loved that! This story also had a little mystery element that took me a while to figure out but it wasn't as action packed as the previous book which I didn't mind one bit. It was less kick ass and more sweet and loving. I also loved getting glimpses of characters from the Ultimate Series. It was nice catching up with some of my favorite characters. Lori Foster always writes such wonderful stories filled with such lovable characters and now Justice is definitely on my favorite heroes list.

I loved this book. This is the 2nd book in Lori Foster's Body Armor Agency series (spin off of the Ultimate books), where Justice Wallington is working as a bodyguard. His client is an heiress, Fallon Wade. Fallon isn't spoiled, is very sweet & down to earth. She lives with her parents & they are very close though her parents are over protective of her after a family tragedy.

Fallon's parents hired Justice to keep Fallon safe, as she is now 24 & wants to enjoy life, go to different places & make new experiences. While Justice enjoys helping Fallon experience life & they are growing closer, there are some things that happen around them with a few characters that don't become clear til the end. We also get to visit with characters from the Ultimate series in this book when he takes her to her first MMA fight as well as seeing Leese again. We also get to see Sahara & Enoch too.

Justice and Fallon's father sometimes don't see eye to eye, “I’ll convince her.” Justice folded his arms in what she now recognized as an arrogant and determined stance. “And since I’ll be dating her, it’d be ludicrous for you to pay me as a bodyguard.” Justice is an honest man, "his hands went suggestively to her hips as he looked down her body. “If you’d dropped your pants…” His nostrils flared with a deep breath, then he half laughed as he let it out. “It’s a fact I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off you.” I really liked this book, I loved Justice the man was a complete alpha, and very protective of his woman.

This is the 2nd book in the Body Armor series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment, unerstanding, & to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Justice is to guard Fallon as she attempts to feel more like a normal adult. Her parents shelter her after a stressful loss. Now she must learn to find her way in the world.

Fallon is trying to be a better adult. She knows she must forge her way, but it is not until she meets Justice that she learns being a woman has more to it. He is hotter than any other man in her life. Could he ever want her?

This was a great addition to the series. I loved their banter. The pace & mystery in the story make it exciting and hard to put down. Warning! Hot men are inside! I loved this and cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.

Sweet Justice! And I mean suh-weeeeet! He's a bodyguard, tall, tough, ruggedly handsome, but when he meets his latest client, the dude literally melts.

Fallon is an heiress in need of some freedom from overprotective parents, and one look at her new bodyguard is all it takes for Fallon to lose her breath.

Clearly Lori Foster knows how to make a first meeting sizzle and she throws in an ex-boyfriend, an MMA fighter who wants a rematch with Justice, some mysterious brothers, and high stakes wagers for added intrigue and excitement.

I liked these characters, especially Justice who is a man's man yet a total softie when it comes to his feelings for Fallon. He grows flowers, takes care of household chores for his mom and grandma, and is the kind of guy you'd want to bring home to mom and dad, even tho he's scary big and sporting a cauliflower ear and broken nose. He's funny and naughty, an irresistible combination.

A light and satisfying romantic read with glimpses of characters from precious Foster books and hints of storylines for some new ones! I'm hooked!

*thank you to the author and the publisher for providing an arc*

The Body Armor series just keeps getting better and better. The men who are part of Body Armor security are hot, sexy, and oh so addictive!!!! I fell for Justice in the first book and I was not disappointed with his story! What I love most about this series is, she introduces the reader to characters from her other series in such a way that if you haven't read them yet, you are wanting to read them. And if you have read that series, you feel like you are catching up with old friends

Justice is a fighter, and even though he loves the sport he knows he needs something else. He becomes a bodyguard for the Body Armor agency and he is about to meet his match when he is introduced to Fallon Wade.

Fallon has been sheltered most of her life and now she is ready to spread her wings and gain some independence. She talks her parents into getting her a bodyguard so that she can experience everyday normal things but still be watched without her parents worrying. When Justice walks in, Fallon is not prepared for what feelings he brings with him.

As Justice and Fallon spend more time together, they realize that the attraction between them is electric and they both can't wait to see what in store for them. But they will have to face some challenges along the way that could change everything.

Fallon has a secret that sent her first admirer packing without a second glance. Is she ready to take a leap of faith with Justice or will old insecurities come back? And can Justice keep his feelings for Fallon in check, especially because she is an assignment or will she break down his barriers and give them both the chance they deserve?

Get ready for the next installment of the Body Armor series!

Have I mentioned that I love Lori Foster's novels? Her series', her characters, her writing have always captured me since I was a teen sneaking her books. Every one of her fighters has been larger than life but also the sweetest and that is what makes me fall in love with each of them and their stories.

After we met Justice in Under Pressure, I knew he was my guy. At least more than Leese was. And how right I was! Each of these fighters is a tough guy with a heart but Justice just was a little more sensitive. He was tentative with Fallon but at the same time challenging her. And Fallon had already determined that she wanted out of this bubblewrap world her parents have kept her in. And after meeting Justice, she really wants to get out of the box she's been in. And after meeting the other fighters and seeing their camaraderie, she flourishes.

I can't wait to see which fighter's story is next. I'm hoping it's Miles. We met him here and just had enough of a teaser of him.
