Juliette Harper is the pen name used by the writing team of Patricia Pauletti and Rana K. Williamson. As a writer, Juliette's goal is to create strong female characters facing interesting, challenging, painful, and at times comical situations. Refusing to be bound by genre, her primary interest lies in telling good stories.
Another great continuance of Jinx's story. This instalment delves deeper into the characters histories and how it is causing the latest mysteries and problems. There's still jovial moments throughout that lighten the atmosphere. Superb writing and flow throughout. This is a brilliant series to get into and each book has proven equally entertaining. My only complaint, they could be longer books, allowing even better stories and pro longing our reader's enjoyment. X
These are just reliably fun, the only thing is I'm kinda not loving the prologue synopsis of the previous book, although I guess there are people that pick one of these up that haven't read the previous one.
The 4th book in the Jinx Hamilton Mystery series; Jinx and her next door neighbor find a dead body right outside their doors sitting on a bench. Jinx and her friends rush against time to find out Fish Pike's killer and the reason why he was murdered. There were two peculiar phenomena things going on in the café. One was the witch cup in which the little green witch had switched positions. The girls had Rodney the rat stand over the cup to watch what goes on. Glory the witch was a spy for Chesterfield and reported any news to him. The second thing that was ominous was the music chessboard in which the girls have placed in the storeroom. It would also listen for info and report back to their master. Glory the little witch has agreed to come over Jinx's side she will be a double agent and give misleading info to Chesterfield. In the meantime, Mrytle the longtime Fae of the coffee shop has been loosing her magic. She will be returning to the Valley to recouperate.
When Fish Pike's body appears on Festus' bench outside the cobblers shop bearing wounds like he's been ripped up by a mountain lion Jinx, Tori and Chase have a problem on their hands.
When Sheriff John Johnson heads out to Pike's place and finds a room with the whole valley, including secret entrances, mapped out along with detailed information about Festus and Chase in their mountain lion form they need to act fast.
The threats continue but a bigger problem is worrying the two girls.. is Myrtle lying to them or is something seriously wrong with the Aos Si? She missed Brenna's return to the town, and felt nothing sinister about the chess board or the witchy mug.. both have a strange connection to Chesterfield so is it him who's working against them or could this be something deeper and older?
With another family revelation to come Jinx doesn't know what to do but she's got no choice but to stand strong in this ever changing world.
This is the fourth book in the series and it keeps getting weirder and weirder. I'm not going to continue reading more of the series. Just doesn't interest me any more.

I stumbled upon this series months ago and started it a few days ago. The first book hooked me. But with 15 in the series I was anticipating getting tired and just trudging through because I have to finish when I start.
However, I’m very surprised that each book I look forward to the next! I like how each book can be a standalone - each storyline is finished without major cliffhangers. Yet, the very last chapter feeds into the next book with a small pearl of revelation. Very interesting way to end a book yet keep things fresh.
These books are delicious Gourmet brain candy. They spark my imagination, make me happily engrossed in a tale that grips me, makes me laugh and makes cry a little. It's flavors are complex enough to make them gourmet candy. That make your brain happy and yearning for more. What more could you ask for. Thoroughly satisfying read
Start with. With Book one or you will miss out on a good story. Read my reviews starting there. I am still buying the books in order so that should tell you how good it is.
Jinx and Tori are at it again! They, along with their friends, work to protect The Valley and their community. If you like paranormal books, this is a great series! Can't wait to read the next book!
This is not just a simple story. It's turned out to be a whole history lesson along with the fictional history of magic and all magical creatures. I am thoroughly hooked on this Harry Potter like world.
Enjoyed most of this book but why does it have to keep repeating how it all came to be if like me you have read each book you no its off putting to a degree
These books are now becoming like new friends! Great stories, awesome characters! I hate when the book I'm reading ends, and can't wait for the next book to begin. Highly recommend this series!
I'm really enjoying these characters, there are many actually by this 4th book but all lovingly and interestingly fleshed out (sorry Beau!), Kudos to the author for creating such a fun and caring family of friends.
If you’re wondering whether or not to continue the series after book 3, the answer is yes. While I was sorely disappointed by the previous book in the series, this one more than made up for it. Once again a charming read with mysteries, secrets and cats galore. I could barely put it down.
Jinx was the most annoying in this book with her attitude. I’m not enjoying the development of her arc _ instead of strong she comes off as bitchy and unlikeable. There is too much use of the witches’ parents who are also thoroughly annoying. She is also so dumb in this book it’s embarrassing.
Once again a wonderful mystical witchy mystery. I enjoyed reading every page and getting to know all of the characters better. I spend some very pleasurable reading hours and couldn't put the book down until the last word was read.
I enjoyed this adventure of the new witch but, it does appear to get much more complicated. Characters appear seemingly from nowhere and other characters disappear from the story.
This book was an emotional roller coaster. It feels like every book in this series manages to build on and improve the series as a whole. I am super pleased and immediately moving to the next book.
Love this series! You never know what's coming next in Jinx an Tori lives. Was sadden when Myrtle left she was a big part of girls life. As soon as I finish one book get the next one
Another great addition in the Jinx Hamilton series. This one was a bit of a tearjerker but it was so good it is one of the best series I have read in a long time.
