Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.
He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.
Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.
The battle against the Avatars continues and Natsu reveals a new technique. We discover some very interesting information about Zeref and Natsu. A whole chapter about his story! And we meet a character we've all been eager to know something about. Not spoiling it. Gah, I can't help it. I really love Zeref. His story is heartbreaking. Everyone want Fairy Tail back, however, is that really true? Did anyone move on and forget? This was a good volume, I don't think I need to mention how much I hate the fan service. Yet, it's really addicting, I can't stop myself from reading the other chapters, especially since these events aren't aired yet.

Finally, the saga has begun, Zeref's backstory is beginning to be unveiled!!! So, Natsu is actually his little brother reincarnated--a test tube baby sort of thing. Where is this Mildian Academy? It seems inspired off of ancient Greece which is AWESOME. And wtf is up with Acnologia??? Why is he human again?? So, what, just like Carla, another character can magically transform into a human whenever? I have no idea. So many people shit all over this series for being 'all about the power of friendship,' which isn't wrong in some respect, BUT do they even consider how amazing and fleshed out these antagonists are? Holy crap, I can't describe how much I love Zeref, even though he is a slightly psychotic sociopath. THAT is good characterization right there.
And Erza as the seventh guild master??? I approve ;)
Now, get off goodreads and "Get. To. Work."-_-

This volume is so busy! Many many new truth were unvaried! It was hard to chase the story.😅😅 Sorry, Gray! I really suspected you but don’t leave Juvia without any words. Juvia is so poor! 😢 Anyway, there were a lot of unveiled secrets so I want to recommend my friends! Especially, the secret about Natsu is really interesting!

Last volume ended on a pretty cool note…and to me ushered in the return of two more Fairy Tail guild members returning to the fold. Or rather…maybe since they were undercover, they never truly had left. In true Fairy Tail storytelling, it is not long before the battle ensues. Stakes of course are high, but action smooth as butter! The Black Magic Cult is working hard to summon Zeref. More and more of the disbanded Fairy Tail members gather as the new mission of revival of the guild really starts to take form. Also, we are treated to an origin story that has been a long time coming. Really, it’s two characters origin stories intertwined!!! This volume even with the high-octane action at the beginning of it, seems to be a chill more relaxed volume…and I enjoy them doing that. There is some over the top fan-service this volume (in my opinion) for a few panels but for the most part it has regulated back to the calmer levels of the earlier volumes. Great artwork (so crisp the lines are in this book) and story by Hiro Mashima.
ENG My opinion (without spoilers) concerning volumes 46 to 55. I must admit that I really liked what happens in these volumes. Certain passages/moments surprised me, and it feels good ! We have a certain maturity that has set in, the characters have grown, it's felt and it feels good. And all this, without losing their personality, it should be noted. I'm on the home stretch, I don't have many books left. I'm excited and stressed at the same time !
Having seen exactly why Gray and Erza were infiltrating the dark guild, the time must now stop Operation Purify. The only thing though is that we have the team back together, everyone has trained intensely over the past year, and these bad guys have no idea what’s about to hit them. Needless to say it’s epic.
The second half of this is Fairy Tale trying to put itself back together and it’s so much fun. I had so much fun seeing all the old faces and I can’t wait to see more of them in the next volume. The best part is that cliff hanger! What’s going to happen next???
From a reader’s perspective, this volume was a lot like going back to the beginning, which is beautiful given what is happening with the guild. I felt like I was going on that very first adventure and meeting all the characters for the first time. I had goosebumps, I laughed, I cried, and I laughed again. This volume reminded me why I fell in love with Fairy Tail.
Fantastic ride, you will not know what coming. Natsu and the gang are at their finest with some new tricks up their sleeves. If you love Naruto or One Piece you should definitely pick up Fairy Tail. You will not regret it.
The plot in this one was a lot better than most of the previous volumes. It sucks that they're finally getting a good balance back on track near the end of the series. I wish they would've done this in the beginning. I'm glad I stuck it out for this though.
The story lines are great. Plot, history, world building and the characters are all well thought out. You really like funny? You will most definitely appreciate this story..
