Starlight Gazebo is a sweet, ghost story. It starts out with Angie, a happily married woman who is taking her children, Liam & Becca, for a swim. Here, a very handsome man, Taylor Davidson, approaches her. Although at first it seems like he’s flirting with her, he’s actually there to let her know that her husband is cheating on her with his wife. There is unfinished business that he needs to accomplish. At this point he opens up a whirlwind of questions and uncertainties. There's also a sense that Taylor is something more to Angie. The author does a great job of keeping the reader captivated as you follow Angie as she pursues her husband and you find yourself needing to know if it’s true. You want to know what’s going to happen with Angie and Taylor. Then there’s Zachary, Taylor’s twin brother, who appears just in the nick of time. Unlike Wade, Angie’s cheating and lying husband, Zach is a kind man. A man who was brought to her by fate. There's special bond she forms with Taylor, who truly loves her, but I think it's heartfelt how he brought her and his brother together. One of the most interesting part is the suspicious man in a rain coat that lingers around her. It gives you that creepy, being watched feeling, and you almost fear for her. Then when you find out that he’s someone special, someone who brings back something special to her. The story really held my interest; although at times predictable you still want to root for Angie and her happiness. A sweet, heartfelt story.

The Starlight Gazebo is a romance with a paranormal twist. I want to start by saying this book does have a storyline based on a cheating spouse. Normally I don't read those types of books, but this was done very, very well. We all know it happens, but reading about it isn't something many of us like to do. The Starlight Gazebo was about more than that one vein of the book, though. In fact, the cheating husband wasn't even a major player, instead, we got to know Angie, her son Liam, and her stepdaughter Becky. We also get to know Taylor, Zach and the Alaskan fisherman. Who are these three men? I won't say, as it's the major vein of the story, but suffice it to say that Angie learns a lot from them and eventually sees her husband, Wade, isn't deserving of her love or devotion. Angie can see, well to quote the movie, dead people. She can see, talk to, touch, and feel dead people, which doesn't make her life easy by any means. I read this story in two evenings and truly enjoyed it. There were some areas where I found it a little too fanciful to be realistic, but then it's paranormal and fiction, so we have to stretch our imagination. You can't go wrong with this wonderful story about love, deception, trust and in the end, unexpected happiness. I give The Starlight Gazebo five cups of iced hot chocolate

Even better than the first in the series - and I loved that one! It also has much more to do with ghosts. I've never read a book quite like this, but it was heartwarming even though much of it was about a guy cheating on his wife.

Angie thinks she has a great marriage and is happily hanging by the pool with her son and step-daughter when an attractive stranger suddenly comes up to her and accuses her husband of sleeping with his wife. He has proof, he says. And he does. The two embark on an investigation that leads to her knowledge that her husband is not the man he says he is and the man she is quickly falling in love with is a ghost. But a ghost who can lead her to love and the kind of life she wants.

This story is just so sweet, I can't get over it. It's also sad in a bittersweet kind of way. I couldn't stop reading and wish I had another just like it to sink my teeth in. Alas, every book has to end at some point.

The Starlight Gazebo, wow. I absolutely loved the concept and storyline of this book. The paranormal undertone of this story was a wonderful addition to an already emotionally charged book.

Angie Newman’s encounter with Taylor Davidson turns her world upside-down and forces her to reevaluate a life that she thought was perfect, ultimately calling into question the actions of her husband Wade. The twists and turns were perfectly set. Bringing in Taylor’s brother Zachary added an element that thickened the plotline and provided an extra dimension to the characters, I loved it. The ending that The Starlight Gazebo offered was not just a conclusion that a reader can be content with, but offered an overall message to live life to the fullest, letting loved ones know who much they are loved while they are with us, which is timeless. Terri Shelton did a great job with The Starlight Gazebo.
