Presence in the Parlor is Vol. V of the Spirits Between the Bays Series. It includes 19 true ghost stories and two popular legends. The chapters include tales of haunted Indian sites, ghosts in Baltimore Harbor on the USS Constellation, a floating casket that comes home to rest in Accomack County, Va., ghost stories from Tangier Island, the "Dream Lady," and haunted inns in New Castle, Del., and Salem, N.J.
Ed Okonowicz, a Delaware native, is an editor and writer at the University of Delaware, where he earned a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in communication. Also a profesional storyteller, Ed is a member of the National Storytelling Association and specializes in local legends and folklore of the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays, as well as topics related to the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Having lived in Delaware and traveled the DelMarVa Penninsula for more than 20 years, some of these were news to me and I am very happy to have found this series. Now I need to start looking for the rest of them and do some exploring of my home state with my family.
