Cheesy as it appears to read such a title, I really liked it. Made me think about who I am and what I really want for myself and in a partner.

This is a very interesting book about how to open your heart to let room in for love. The four essential keys to discovering love in this book are Faith, Intention, Trust and Surrender. I think the hardest one for me is Surrender. It is hard for me to allow myself to be vulnerable and to let go, but that is the only way to be truly in love is to be open and vulnerable. It is scary. I don't want to be hurt. But I want to be in love. She has a lot of very good advice like understanding that each failed relationship taught me something to become who I am today and because of that they were each a gift and important to finding the true love that I long for.

Things that she mentions are to say "I'm going to surrender to love through some specific action." "Yes, here are all the difficult, scary, and absolutely devastating things that could happen now that I'm feeling so deeply connected. Because I'm feeling such joy, I could feel the most devastating sorrow if I lost this. But in spite of that sad possibility, I'm not going to let go of this love. In fact, I'm going to hold on to it, cherish it, and enjoy it for every minute it lasts." "I promise I'll tell you exactly what I'm feeling, and I am willing to hear exactly what you're feeling as our experience together unfolds."

I don't know if I am quite there yet, but I after reading this book I am closer to being truly ready to truly love someone. I am not going to be afraid. I will enjoy the ride and graciously be thankful for every day and each new experience.

This is an outstanding book, truly the most thorough and helpful book I have ever read about relationships. The author brought up so many eye-opening points and challenged me to look at my life and myself in depth. I feel grateful to have so much more self-awareness now and so many tools that will help me in healing, moving forward, and creating healthy relationships. This affirmed a lot of my beliefs and helped me to see where I am on the right track, as well as giving me new information to contemplate and apply in my life. I look forward to reading it a second time to further absorb these important messages and to work through the exercises in detail. What a fabulous book! I highly recommend it!

I bought this book in 2000 and couldn't get into it. Then I started reading it in 2007 and couldn't put it down.
