Cowgirl Crazy

Rate this book
A year after Samantha Kendrick, DVM, discovered Lance Wilson had murdered his wife, the court declares Lance insane and incompetent to stand trial, and sentences him to life in a maximum psychiatric facility. The Lazy W Ranch is turned over to his only heir, his nephew, Luke Maguire. Luke surprises everyone in the town of Fairview, Colorado when he sells the ranch to the wealthy widow, Annalise Murray. Forty-year-old Annalise is beautiful, rich, and a cougar. She immediately sets her sights on Cheyenne Wells, the manager and head trainer of the Lazy W. There’s only one problem - Cheyenne is in a relationship with Sam.

As a large animal vet, Sam spends most of her time in t-shirts, jeans, and Roper boots covered in cow poop. She’s a woman in a man’s world, and she’s worried she can’t compete with the poop-free Annalise. Her best friend, Isabella, comes to her aid and they come up with a plan for Sam to “get her sexy on”. But before they can get their plan in motion, Sam’s whole world falls apart when she learns that a small plane has gone down with Cheyenne and Annalise on it. Sam joins the search party, and her instincts, guts, brains and beauty are put to the ultimate test in a life gone crazy – cowgirl crazy!

About the author

Carolyn Anderson-Jones

4 books12 followers
Carolyn is a Colorado Native, born and raised on a farm along the Denver Front Range where she was permitted to roam free and wander unfettered. She was fortunate to be reared in an all-natural environment, one that was unfenced geographically, emotionally and mentally, which makes her a totally legit “Free-Range Woman.”

Carolyn grew up in Louisville, and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. Although she no longer wears her Lennon glasses, tie-dyed skirts, or love beads, (except at Halloween), she will always remain a free spirit and a hippie at heart. She is passionate about all things Colorado, and loves to write about adventures and escapades in her beautiful state.

Carolyn lives in Broomfield, and when she’s not writing, painting or doing things with her kids and grand kids, she’s teaching sign language to her deaf dog, Zoey, an Australian Blue Heeler.

For a new author, Ms Anderson-Jones has rapidly become one of my favorites. This story is entertaining, fun, romantic and involved. Loved both the H and the h and, of course, the dog. Their was action, betrayal and love. The H was awesome and loved his woman! The h was feisty and a force to be dealt with with those she loved were threatened.

Story line was well developed and kept your interest from the beginning. Spicy but not OTT. Highly recommended.

Crazy is right

Don't ever mess with a woman and her beloved dog. Definitely don't mess with her cowboy either. Loved the spunk Sam had. She is independent, beautiful and smart, she enjoys what she does and knows what she wants. Enjoyed this book very much. Can't wait for more
