Did you know that you can improve your love life by moving your bed? Or enhance your wealth by rearranging your office? Or even deflect bad luck with convex mirrors? Chinese philosophers have understood geomancy (the art of placement) for more than two thousand years-and architects like I. M. Pei, businesses like Virgin Airways, and real estate moguls like Donald Trump are listening. Integrating interior design with the I Ching, feng shui (pronounced fung-schway) harmonizes our external and internal environments by creating balanced, peaceful dwellings in which we can develop health and happiness. its powerful secrets have been closely guarded for centuries-and what has been written tends to be mystifying and impractical. But reading Feng Shui Mode Easy is like having an expert visit your own home or office. William Spear is a sought-after consultant in the field-and with specific case studies, as well as fifty drawings that clearly demonstrate the subtle energy flow principles of the art of placement, he shows you how to easily apply the wisdom of geomancy to everyday living. " Feng Shui Mode Easy tells you more than just how to rearrange your furniture, it tells you how to change your life." Home Shui Home!
Met William Spear at the crap table in Vegas, he has a sense of what the environment is. Did not know him watched his bets! He made money and I followed his bets and I made money! He is genius. Got on a plane in first class, pure luck William Spear is sitting next to me . Fate has its way, got his book, the set of placement is not just your environment but what you do with it.
Re-reading this now that I have a new apartment. My old notes from Peace Corps are written in the book, it's really interesting to see what a different place I am in now, both geographically and personally.
A basic introductory book on Feng Shui. I would have liked that it was deeper in the roots of Feng Shui. Though I think Feng Shui has much superstition, I think it's rooted in good design practices for wellbeing, safety and warmth, which help you feel better.
By far the best book I've ever found on the subject. Understandable, not deliberately mystifying or unintentionally convoluted. There are some terrible books out there on this and it is hard for anyone to know which are which. This is the good one! From a Western perspective but with all the Eastern flavor you might want, it is adaptable to your circumstances and comprehensive in what it covers. Highly recommend for anyone interested in the subject. (btw, NEVER buy the book Feng Shui for Beginners - or ANYTHING else by Richard Webster, he is a fraud)
William Spear has written a book that actually makes Feng Shui accessible to the average joe. He is not long winded on his own journey. Spear uses small exercises to bring Feng Shui practices into the reader's life. It is probably the only Feng Shui book that I will ever read cover to cover.
Feng Shui Made Easy by William Spear is a feng shui classic. It is out of print but many copies are available on the used market. This book has a nice explanation of the magic square as well as basic information about feng shui's relationship to the I Ching.
