Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.
He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.
Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.
Plenty of NaLu GajeelXLevy and GrUvia (seriously they should just get to together already!). Seriously Zeref and Mavis had a child why hasn't Mavis mentioned this already - its kind of a big thing. Can't believe that the Master sacrificed himself for everyone and I think for once a dead FT character won't be coming back for once.

Puntaje: 5 Estrellas. ERZAAAAA
This arc has provided a lot a great fights, but Natsu vs. Gray is the best one. It's all been leading up to this and with Juvia and Lucy down (as far as they know) it's going down for real. The end of the fight was good too, with Erza stopping them after Marakov (I will get to that) with her caring. Then Juvia and Lucy showing up and the reactions of their men.
Marakov saving the day was awesome though even greater was who comforted Mavis afterwards, Laxus. It was all awesome.

There is an important difference between plot set-up and narrative, emotional set-up for a big moment. Natsu and Grey's conflicting personalities have always been featured fairly prominently since the ice wizard was introduced to the series, but it was also made very clear early on that they actually care for one another quite a lot, despite their incessant fighting. And yes, in terms of plot, it has been repeatedly stated that Grey's goal is now to destroy E.N.D. (which he recently learned is actually Natsu) because of his dead dad (which was a... bad plotline, but whatever).
Now, does anyone actually buy the Natsu/Grey fight as some climactic match-up that is going to matter at all? Naruto is a deeply flawed series in its own right, funnily enough also in part with the way it treats its female characters (albeit Naruto's problems are completely different than FT's in that same area), but there is a LOT of emotional weight behind the Naruto/Sasuke conflict. Especially once we move into Shippuuden, it really is the driving force of the story, regardless of what the plot might be trying to tell you. So when the two ninjas do fight, it means a lot.
Here? Not so much. It just goes to show how having planned something well in advance (which I do admit Mashima-san clearly has done throughout the series), does not necessarily mean executing on that set-up and payoff well.
I'm also not even going to touch upon the Makarov thing. I don't actually remember whether or not it happens, but I will bet you $1,000,000 that what happens is reversed via some kind of asspull.
Also, Natsu's tumor somehow being some kind of demonic power-up is incredibly stupid. Like, I get that doctors make mistakes and all, but... this is just a lot to nod along to.
2/5 - Story beats that could have been way, way more impactful if they'd been set up and executed with more skill, unfortunately.
On verra !
ENG I'm going to talk about volume 56 to 63; no spoilers don't worry ! Some scenes (especially in the 56) just ENERVOUS me, and I really couldn't stand it, I had to take a mini-break ! I must admit that the last two volumes were very good; we saw/re-saw certain characters. Quite a few fairly predictable things, but that's okay ! I'm pretty "frustrated" because I didn't get everything I wanted, but other than that I'm pretty happy with the end. I will not speak of the eternal "fan-service", that, I just can't take it anymore !!!! I know there is technically a sequel, I still hesitate to dive into it, at least for the moment ! We'll see ! A page turns, a book closes; it was a nice read.
Jeeze, I picked up this series in high school (maybe even middle school?) and have read it on and off until I FINALLY finished it today.
I found myself wondering what drew me to Fairy Tail in the first place because it was one of the first manga series I ever read, and I know that no one recommended it to me.
Anyways, the story was mainly pushed forward by one bad guy after another coming onto the scene and getting increasingly more powerful (which got tiring pretty quick). The plot didn’t move past that really, and just served as an excuse for the writers to create some really badass characters with badass powers. And as an adult returning to this series after a long break, I was sometimes surprised and off put at the over-sexualization of pretty much every character.
But I’m still giving this series 5 stars because the humor and the characters themselves kept me so entertained despite the lack of depth to the plot. Their backstories and relationships between all of the Fairy Tail guild members really had me hooked. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia? I don’t know.
What I do know is that I’ll walk away from this one and be missing some of these characters I’ve been reading about for the last few years. Great series that I would read again but wouldn’t necessarily recommend to others.
(Almeno per me).

Gray’s battle with E.N.D. is on the brink of happening as he heads out to find Natsu. At the same time, the guild is running on their last breath and have so many more enemies to face before even getting one step closer to their home. The battles faced on all fronts will change Fairy Tail forever.
This was such an improvement over the last few volumes and I’m grateful for it. I was really worried that I would feel ok about the remaining volumes as I’ve felt the last battle was dragging a bit but this one really turned it around for me and I want to keep reading to find out what happened. There were so many amazing moments in this volume and it really was a great example of what this series is about.
The cover says it all...Natsu vs. Gray! Fairy Tail guild masters are pulling out all the stops in this war and they know that defeat isn't an option. Gildarts returns just when the guild truly needs him! Hiro Mashima is in fan service mode as he's sprinkling a bit each volume leading this series to it's conclusion. In true Mashima fashion, we still get a little revelation in this volume! The art has been stellar throughout the series. This has been so good; I am planning to read Eden Zero just because of this quality! Page turning action....and the tale...truly is coming to a conclusion.
I've read up to volume; #59: with an overall rating of: ★★★☆☆ 3.5
lowkey annoyed. we've had some many death flags all around and none came to be it's getting old? don't get me wrong, the arms reveal and lucy stepping up were great so was laxus BUT the fan service got too distracting again brandish going back and forth i couldn't believe it either
A lot of things happened but, DID ZEREF AND MAVIZ HAVE A KID, AND HOW!! I liked the nalu and gruvia moments, but I still want a property reunion between gray and juvia. Other then that an okay volume, I wonder if makarov is truly gone, or if he will be brought back somehow.
Well, I can't say it wasn't interesting, but it's officially weird too. The author put in enough to keep it interesting, but I'm honestly ready for this Zeref stuff to be over.
Really good story building towards the end, but ugh... the amount of fan service is insane. You don't have to do booty and boob shots every other page to get someone to read the story. Come on.
