I was expecting more because in the Introduction, the author seemingly laments that most chunky knit patterns consist mostly of hats and shawls. Well, this book IS mostly hats and shawls. Also, nothing new or noteworthy. Photography is meh, models are definitely not professional and makes me realize what a difference that makes. I didn't look closely at the how-to photos in the back as I'm an experienced knitter. Good, perhaps, for beginners.
