American Wildflower

Rate this book
American Wildflower is the story of Eddie Calta who was the unwitting party to a murder in the combat zone. He spent years guiltily trying to avoid the memory of what he believed to be his part in the matter and was successful only in that he suppressed all memory of it while punishing himself for it without knowing why. Events though - and suspiciously the subliminal influence of the dead soldier - brought Eddie through events that caused him one day to face up to the memory. In the course of it all, he became involved with the New York mob, with the fortunes of a bombastic U.S. Congressman, and a girl who loved him despite his difficulties.
