About the author

Louis Dearborn L'Amour was an American novelist and short story writer. His books consisted primarily of Western novels, though he called his work "frontier stories". His most widely known Western fiction works include Last of the Breed, Hondo, Shalako, and the Sackett series. L'Amour also wrote historical fiction (The Walking Drum), science fiction (The Haunted Mesa), non-fiction (Frontier), and poetry and short-story collections. Many of his stories were made into films. His books remain popular and most have gone through multiple printings. At the time of his death, almost all of his 105 existing works (89 novels, 14 short-story collections, and two full-length works of nonfiction) were still in print, and he was "one of the world's most popular writers".

KEEP THE SUN 🌞AT YOUR BACK

Every short story are diamonds in the rough, great 👍stories of the west. Each character and plots are all different. You may have read one or more of these short novellas in the past, because that's one thing about any of Louis L'Amour's westerns, you'll never tired of reading 📚them.
So everyone keep your cinch tight and your coffee ☕hot..also don't stare into your campfire, you never know whose watching you..ride easy everyone.

A great read

Every story I've read written by Louis L'Amour gets 5 stars (I think I've read them all)! Anyone interested in the west will enjoy these stories, I believe they tell it like it was when the west was really wild. My ancestors were some of the ones like the characters written about who came west. They never left any written accounts so these stories tell some of what they may have seen and experienced.

Good book

Louis L'Amour probably the greatest western author doesn't disappoint in this collection. The characters seem real and the action keeps coming. A great read for anyone interested in Poised works.

I didn't realize this was a collection of short stories. I'm not a fan of short stories. I'm sure my Grandpa would have gobbled these Westerns right up. I do like L'Amour though, don't get me wrong.
