On a continent across the ocean, Mizcarnon is sent by the Emperor to assess an emerging threat. But the danger approaching Mizcarnon's beloved Empire is greater than anyone imagined. Stranded across an ocean, he must find a way to warn his people of a darkness that will soon reach their shores.

Again a Masterpiece!! I could not stop reading until it finished. Exciting, with plenty of action and as good as or even better than the first book of the series Peak Crosser. Fresh for the summer with accurate descriptions that allows you to live the story as if you were actually there. Once you start just make sure you have time ahead since you will quit sleeping just to know what comes next.... Enjoy it!

A Great Sequel

I've read many, many fantasy books in my day. The Empire of Peaks series is excellent. I expected to notice a big difference between Mangum and more established authors, but honestly I did not. This book kept me engaged from beginning to end and I can't wait to see what happens next!
