He’s on the last mission of his life…
Ex-Marine Lee Hart had already served his two-week notice with The TEAM when the cat burglar of Kabul ran into his life. Reckless and wild, Tess Culver has come to the attention of the Taliban’s deadliest snipers, Mohammed Turik. And now she’s become Lee’s final assignment. The only fly in that ointment is Tess herself. She’s headstrong and audacious, passionate and sexy, and…
This might just be the toughest mission Lee’s ever been assigned.

She’s determined to save the ancient legends…
Despite the current state of the country, Tess sees beauty and grace in Afghanistan. She sees hope. Working as a foreign-aid worker by day and cat burglar by night, she’s stolen back from the despicable Hasim Nizari, the Taliban banker, what he stole from the Museum in Kabul. She’s hell bent on rescuing the relics of her adopted country. All she needs is a little more time. A little more money.
And someone to catch her when she falls…

Growing up in the countryside of Wisconsin, I always wanted to be a writer. I've dabbled in poetry, short stories, and more daydreaming than most. Way back when, I remember long Sunday afternoon drives with my parents where they'd
tell us eight kids to, 'Look out the window and see something!'

I've been looking out the window ever since . . .

In the great Northwest pines, I saw a woman who had nowhere to run find refuge in the arms of a tender warrior seeking his own road to healing.
In the hills of Wyoming, I saw a broken man who thought he'd lost everything
rediscover the man he was in the eyes of a pretty girl.
And in the Dairy State, (yes Wisconsin), I saw two people fall in love
and overcome horrific obstacles on their way to happily-ever-after.

Life is short. Pick up a good book. Read. Write. Enjoy.
Look out the window and see something!

This is the 11th book in the series.

The heroine is trying to preserve what history she can before it disappears and if she has to steal it to give it back later so be it. However, when things start to go bad and the hero appears without her realizing it, she just needs a tiny bit more time and money to finish what she can.

Our hero is on the last mission for the team before he steps away. He’s given it all but now it’s time for him to move on. The mission seems easy enough capture the cat burglar in Kabul and bring the person back to the US. However, our heroine is feisty and believes the good in enough is enough, but will it be too much for them both?

The plot is complex and is very believable as to what we know about the area. However, will the hero and his team be able to get the heroine out and make her go without too much fuss? Can they get her to leave everything behind to save her life? The book is good but in some areas it is not believable and is really stretching things. You can feel the relationship between our hero and heroine, but the heroine seems too headstrong to let the hero overtake her which is another reason why this isn’t believable beyond the banker of the bad guys point.

This is the 11th from this series, I'm curious to see what the next book brings.

Lee
In the Company of Snipers, Volume 12
By: Irish Winters
Narrated by: Troy Duran

Pull me in and make me feel. That is what Irish Winters does! Each episode of the In the Company of Snipers series captures me attention and my heart. This is Lee's story. He is finished, giving his 2 week notice. Just one more mission and he's done. But this is his most difficult. Tess Culver is a cat burglar. She wants to save the legends in Afghanistan and she needs to capture the the art that is being stolen and restore it to keep the history alive. Lee's mission, catch the cat burglar. But a bowl of cream isn't going to do it. Feisty and determined, Tess is a handful. And Lee is smitten. When things get really rough though, these two make quite the team. Not only are they lovable together, but they are a deadly force too. Will they get home alive? Will Afghanistan and the Taliban be the ones to take them down? Catch this one, with glimpses of all our favorites and a few new team members, and you will be pulled in just like me! Romantic suspense at it's best.

Troy Duran continues his amazing narration of this series. I can't get enough of his interpretation of this team. Each one is different and he keeps all the voices from book to book consistent! He is perfect in his cadence, he keeps the suspense high and the passion hot. Love him!

Tess. His mission. Find and protect the thief in Afganistan. Despite the preparation, he'd not been prepared for the hot, agile little thief. Oh, he captured her. Saved her, even been prepared for most of her moves she attempted to escape. What he hadn't been prepared for was the effect she'd have on him.

Two incredibly strong people, damaged yet worked to do good in the world. Lee wasn't prepared for the woman inside the thief's skin. He sure wasn't prepared for the feelings she'd instill in him.

The couple has so much hidden from the world. Working together they find something neither was prepared for but didn't want to lose. With so many enemies in such a dangerous country doing dangerous things around dangerous people can they find something permanent together?

This is everything you want in a story. Danger, action, strong amazing characters (not just the main characters), romance, intrigue, a wonderful yet surprising ending. I strongly recommend this book in audio or written version which stands alone in a series of incredible stories.

This story had me at the very beginning and at times Took My Breath Away.....
As an Ex-Marine Lee Hart is strong and brave but he can’t get past the physical and mental scars he carries with him. So one last mission with the Team and then he’s out. He just didn’t expect his mission to be Tess Culver. She’s a cat burglar in Afghanistan for goodness sakes. Tess is being hunted and needs protection. She takes risks and isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in and she’s drop dead gorgeous. She makes Lee feel again....
But she’s playing a dangerous game that could get them all killed. When Lee comes face to face with his worst nightmare will he be strong enough to save Tess and himself.
Lee endured so much pain I just wanted to wrap my arms around him and never let go. I wanted to shake Tess at times. But I really loved how they came together in the end. Irish Winters bravo! I loved the twists and turns.

I have read this series book by book and each story is uniquely different then the next. All characters
appear in each story line. Lee was leaving and this was his last assignment. He never thought he would meet a woman like Tess. Smart and passionate about the valuables in the museum in Afghanistan. Tess in now in the cross hairs of a very dangerous man and all she wants to do is save precious artifacts. The interaction between lee and Tess is amazing but see needs to see what she is doing is putting herself in great danger. In the end another great book by Irish Winters.

This was my first novel by Irish Winters and will not be my last. I loved this novel enough to place it on my personal favorites list. This novel was great, the characters well developed, and it kept your attention all the way to the end. I would and will recommend this to everyone I know. I look forward to reading more of Ms Winters novels.

Wow oh wow

This story broke my heart, stopped my breathing, made me laugh out loud and then cry my eyes out. Wow! What a thriller diller of a romance. I think poor Alex was knocked off his beam by this adventure.
Brace yourself, take notes, keep up with the action and enjoy this tale to the max.

Intense!

Another don't breathe, heart pounding, sit at the edge of your seat masterpiece. The horrors of an endless war bring these two lost souls together to find love and redemption in the most inhospitable of places. Each of these books makes you for all over again in love with the TEAM and Alex!

Tess and Lee's story

The TEAM's assignment was to bring Tess home from Afghanistan. She was being watched by the Talban and someone was afraid for her life. Since they wouldn't tell who hired them. She thought they were after her antiquities
Very good story

I thoroughly enjoyed Lee’s story when I first read this book, but absolutely loved the audible version. Troy Duran is the perfect voice to bring Ms. Winter’s TEAM to life.

Lee Hart, former Marine, was anxious to complete his last mission with the TEAM. Their current assignment was getting Tess Culver out of Afghanistan and back to the United States safely. Lee had previously suffered greatly at the hands of a Taliban madman and couldn’t wait to wrap this up and get home. Tess had other ideas. Known as the cat burglar of Kabul, she was passionate about stealing back the stolen artifacts of this country she loved and protecting them for future generations. Lee intercepted her during one of her most daring and dangerous thefts yet. A wonderful story of two broken people fighting their way to each other, you won’t be able to put this down.

OMG!!!!

Irish's BEST EVER!!! Best book I've read in a long time!!

I don't know how she does it, but by the end of the prologue you are ready to fight for Lee and Tess. Little twist here, little twist there and BAM...She's got you!!

I first felt such raw emotion for Tess and Lee it was almost overwhelming. Then I really started to not like Tess so much, but still was in awe of her never ending courage. By the end, I was just thankful. As for Lee...wow! He is definitely the epitome of Badass. His story is gut wrenching and you can't help but fall in love.

The In The Company Of Snipers series just keeps getting better and better. Never a dull moment and never, never does the reader ever get bored with the "been there, read that's."

Can't wait for Ky!!!!

Holy moly

I've have enjoyed all of these thus far, but this is without a doubt the best. It amazes me that each book has a unique focus and completely different storyline.

This piece digs into the heart of two damaged souls with dignity and tenderness.
